- Today we're putting the spotlight on my PLx-C LVPO rifle setup from our previous review. We'll be delving into two distinct configurations: the first, equipped with a Unity Tactical Fast Mount at a height of 2.05 inches with the Raptor M8 meters, and the second using a Primary Arms PLx mount at 1.5 inches on the PLx-c Griffin. As we dissect the pros and cons of each setup, our aim is to provide valuable insights to aid your decision-making in optimizing scope height with your optics choices.

I run a Reptilia top mount 507C ACSS with their 1.5" scope mount, but on a 2.5x-10 GLx Griffin. I also use a CTR stock with LaRue RISR. :)
The tall turrets on the GLx requires that I use a 10mm RMR spacer to clear the elevation turret, but I still get a good chin weld with the RISR. And do a lot of up drills to get used to the top dot.
I have an slx 1-8, but MAN do I want one of these.
Great info as usual, always a well done explanation of everything that is done. 👍🏼👍🏼
Super underrated channel man, I literally just ordered the same mount with red dot cap the other day
Thanks man, we appreciate the support. We know we're not for everyone, but we are for us so that's something.

Shut up Walsh, he'll think we're weird. Watch this...

Best scope heights (I am correct and not hearing arguments to the contrary at this time):
All measurements in height over rail.
1.5” height for scopes and prism optics, or if you want to piggyback another optic at 12:00
1.7” for red dots (or red dots and magnifiers)
Night vision: as low as you can go and get a consistent good sight picture. I use 2.2” but it feels a bit “floaty” and recoil feels worse.
ehhh 1.7 for a scope mount but only if you need it. 1.93 for red dots and nods. 2.2 is still silly. 1.5 is still a great spot for a top dot.
Sooo...this was basically a scope mount review?
hmmmm....I suppose so. I'm sorry lol

Are you watching the same video?
Another piece of gear i'd like to hear your take on is the Shaw Concepts Usurper Belt.
Could be cool with all the canted slots, or really annoying it you want to change things up. And the inner belt is certainly interesting.
I was looking at it...isn't the cant only on one side? I was worried as a lefty it would be silly.
-Walsh
@@ThinLineDefenseCo their website says you can order a left or right handed belt
Again...Awsome Content. Puts things in perspective for the New to the Experienced Shooters. Optics can be like ChineseRocketMath Geometry to comprehend for some...
I went with a precision reflex inc 1.3 mount for my 2-12x. I still find the 12oclock dot to be much higher than i want. I could probably run a 1.1 inch mount, have a better cheak weld, and get the dot out of the stratosphere.
I’m pretty excited for this!
I think I’m going to stick with that 1.93
Is Walsh the Wizard Master?
He is the anchor master
Btw what cheek riser was that?
it's Larue. It's super nice at least.

You know the man drives a JK when he makes a Gumper gril joke
I'm too old to understand any of this. Is JK a... vehicle?
-Walsh
@@ThinLineDefenseCo JK is the model code for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler, the one with all the stupid grumpy eye headlights
@@nurse-dude pretty sure that wasn't it.
