LOL! RIP Lightcap. That's why I don't use a lightcap whenever the light is close to the muzzle and/or the suppressor. I was thinking of getting one, but it turned out my Rein3.0 has about 3/16" clearance from the can and is flush to the muzzle itself, so I skipped it.
Solid review, my old eyes don't agree with the almost day light bright statement but other than that IMO you are on point. Lighter than a p4xi, bezel does the razor 1-6 disappearing trick and the FFP reticle layout is perfect. Got mine from Kenzie's for $1350 shipped with their 10% off code. It's made all other lpvos inferior to me.
@@stankysweg 100% Mainly because the Razor 1-6 is second focal plane, and I prefer first focal plane. And the reticle options in the PA are much better. The glass quality is probably pretty close between the two, but it’s more difficult to have better glass quality with FFP.
@@TNRay if you had to compare the low end glass quality (fish eye, distortions, outside ring not aligning, etc) what glass do you think would take the lead?
I don’t remember off the top of my head, and can’t find the numbers doing some research. But the scope has the autolive feature. So as long as it’s laying still in a stable environment, the power cuts off after a short period of time with no movement and kicks back on at the slightest amount of movement
I don’t understand how they got it to be so much lighter than everything else in the market. Is anyone else concerned about long-term durability of internals? Is everything hyper skeletonized? Is the aluminum tube extremely thin? Is the glass thin?
I had one ordered for months. They never would ship and I ran out of time. Ordered the eotech Vudu instead and used it the last half of 2022. Man, if this thing was 34mm, 1-10 And didn’t have that chevron I feel Like it might take over 3-gun
Ahh man! I hate that happened. Did you catch it on the preorder? With the quality of glass they have in it, if they made a 1-10 ffp 34mm in this compact of a package it would sell like hot cakes
Since you said the reticle isn’t quite daylight bright (like the Nightforce NX8 is), do you think the reticle is big enough for quickly engaging targets at CQB distances outdoors on a bright, sunny day? The reticle doesn’t look as big at 1x as day the Vortex Razor. I’m really wanting to consider it at this price point, but I want my attention to be drawn to the reticle at 1x for CQB distances either due to the reticle being illuminated bright enough (i.e. red dot bright) or big enough to naturally & quickly acquire without illumination.
On 1X, I feel like the reticle is good to go on full power. Not being daylight bright is more prevalent at the higher magnification levels in my opinion. Also consider the reticle design itself, it has crosshairs directing your eyes to the center. So even if the illumination isn’t quite doing it for you, you have solid lines pointing you into the center.
@@RighteousLiberty yeah I do. Check out the 2:45 mark for a good representation of 10 power on a semi-cloudy but still bright day. Check out the 4:05 for a drill I ran at 1X at 30 yards. One shot on each target, 4 targets. My transition and split time between targets (minus the pocket reload) was on par with shooting a red dot.
Hows the overall eye relief/eyebox compared the the razor gen 3? I've heard mix reviews about the eyebox. I've had the razor and thought the eyebox was great
Eyebox feels maybe just slightly tighter than the Gen 3 razor depending on the magnification setting. But honestly it’s not enough of a difference to really say it’s significant in my experience
I have the Razor 1-10 and imo the complaints about the eye box are overstated. It is certainly tight on 10x but on 1x it’s fairly forgiving especially with a Badger Ordnance 1.70 mount. Something about that height is just money for an LPVO.
@@weekendwarrior8334 I agree, the eye box on 10X is tighter than I want but it’s not worth raising a major complaint about. We can’t have all the features, it’s impossible currently lol I run mine on a 1.7 Badger for my competition rifle as well.
I think they’re sold out most places currently! I say sign up for back in stock email notification using the link in my description, and it’ll let you know as soon as they have them!
In low light or in a dark room, do you have specs on your lens when you illuminate past setting 7? I've experienced this on two plx compact 1-8's. First one was pretty bad. The replacement is no where near as bad but I'm not ok with any specs on the lens for the price point.
I bought one a few months ago. Love it. Worth every dime

I've been well pleased with my PA stuff. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for watching as always my friend! PA is really giving great options at every budget level

And only getting better by the year!

great review dude.
Just ordered one of these to swap with my vortex viper pst 1-6.
also got the Badger 1.7!
Looking froward to testing this thing out.

Great video! that mount looks like something I should get,is it a Badger Ordnance 1.70?

Yes, that’s exactly what it is. I love the badger comm mounts! I should do a video on them 👀
