2019/10 It took me about 1.5 - 2 hours to replace, watching the video as replacing {at the same time). All pretty straightforward and at the end phone and screen works great, as good as new. Thank you for great tutorial and help.
Superior to other tutorials and worth the extra watch time to get step by step instructions. Replaced my screen following this tutorial and its working great!
Thank you. The clearest video I've seen on this by far.
Thank you, this video is much more helpful and informative than all the other videos I’ve watched
Glad it was helpful!
excellent, Mike. some of the others just DO NOT provide enough detail, go too fast, have unclear camera work, etc. this is Nerd Level: Awesome. THANKS
Super useful, detail oriented, professional and most straight forward video. I have changed screen of my iPhone 6 first in my life all by my self in no time. When I turned it on, 2 white horizontal lines appeared in the middle of the screen, forgot to attache 2 rubber pads 🤪🤪🤪 Had to reopen and attach them, works perfect now. Thank you sir 🙃😍
I watched a couple of other videos before i found this one. Yours is head and shoulders above their's! Your attention to detail is outstanding. Thank you.
Thanks all these other videos were so dumb, thanks for just doing it. You rock
Great video very understandable everything is clear i can hear you and actually see all the work being done clearly...Thumbs Up👍
I found your video most helpful between four videos I've seen. Thank you v. much.
Dude! This is the kind of instructional videos that really make my day. I followed your instructions and my screen replacement went perfectly. Is there a way to send you a tip, please let me know. Thanks a bunch. I love to DIY and you just are awesome in your teachings. Thanks!
Thanks for your video it saved me $100 dollars
Wow. This was an awesome video. I was terrified to change the phone screen and I actually did it! Thank you!
Thank you so much, it took all day and 5 cups of coffee, but i did it 👍🏻
Thank you, Go Cell Phone Repair!! Saved me an arm &a' leg... I don't think I could have done it without the thorough and compressive vid. Cheers!!
Great video, very in depth, I successfully replaced my screen with this tutorial. Thank you.
Great tutorial, helped me replace screen on iPhone6. Thank you.
Thank you so much for posting such a detailed video that helped me to replace my iphone 6 screen. Everything is working fine except I can't hear when someone calls me unless I turn on the speaker in which case the person on the other side cannot hear my voice. If I turn off the speaker, the person on the other side can hear me but I can't hear them. I watched your video again to ensure that I replace the microphone and speaker parts accurately which I did. Any help would be greatly appreciated to fix the issue.
Thank you! Very straight forward. With a little patience, I was able to replace my screen, save some money, and retain the functionality of Touch ID!
Nicely done! Replaced my iPhone 6 screen and had no problems.
The best replacing screen video . Thank you
Great tutorial, worked perfectly for my wife’s iPhone 6, thank you 👍

Thanks, great tutorial! I later noticed that there's actually a small gap near the bottom of the case to make it easier to pry open, like some watch cases.
Great video. The best I have seen so far. I did 4 and 5 replacements in the past made mistakes. This one was great. Did not have glue tape for plastic mounts hopefully it will work ok. Thanks for all the tips and especially warnings of using proper tools and what can go wrong.
Amazing video. Gives a lot of details and was super useful. Watched few times and made it through for the first time after few attempts, especially for setting up back for the proximity sensor, ear piece, camera and speaker part. Many Thanks
Thank you so much I just fix my daughters cell phone 📱☺️
Great video and very detailed. I used this alongside the kit from amazon (which provided no clear instructions by the way) and it worked a treat!
Thank you very much
Thanks for that seemingly inconsequential comment about looking for lint first before replacing the plug. I actually bought and had in possession a new plug. Then I checked for lint just after removing the 1st two screws at the bottom, lo and behold so much junk came out the old plug feels like new again. Great video!
This is hands down the best DIY tutorial I have encountered on the internet. Thank you Sir for teaching us.
Well done, watched a few of these today - for obvious reasons and your video was by far the clearest and best paced (pace is paramount in these videos you nailed it) I saw, cheers buddy!!
Thank you!
Helpful video!! That said, I bet a large percentage of people watching this end up just getting another phone (LOL :-) (and I wouldn't blame them.)
Thank you! Very thorough and helpful. Worked a treat!
idk how i did this but i did... everything worked thanks to you!!!!
Cool!
where did you buy the new screen? pls I need to know
this is an awesome tutorial, only issue i'm having is getting those scews the size of ant turds back in place, got aggrivated had to give it a break.. but thanks for the instructions. so easy
This video helped so much in replacing my cracked iphone 6 screen. Very easy to understand, although challenging with the small screws, I was able to repair my damaged phone.
Thank you very much!!
I did it step by step, newbie here and finished it with great fun/difficulty thanks for your help
Thanks. Followed along and had no issues. Very detailed step by step.
great video, this is the second of your that i successfully followed. thanks for sharing!
Just finished my first screen replacement on a iPhone 6, couldn't have done it without the detailed instructions in this video.
He said passcode 🥸 like we’re ever going to get a hold of the phone😂🤣😂
Your video is very helpful for me thank you very very thanks
6 hours later but it was worth it
Thanks for the video! It helped me so much.
Thanks but, my screen cracke when i was installing the screen on the final bit maybe if u specified that u have to push it up, it would have helped but works perfectly thanks
Very good tutorial. Easy to follow. Thanks for all the tips specially when installing camera and proximity sensor.
Dude, you're amazing- thank you so much! Couldn't have followed the packaged instructions without you. It started up on my first try- what a relief.
The only issue I had was transferring the rubber pads at 18:40. The darn things both left their adhesive behind, even after much heating. Praying that's not going to be too much of an issue...
yeah those packaged instructions skip many steps
The second time im watching this video and also the second time im replacing the screen on my iphone 6 and forgot about the water seal. im guessing the screens you get dont include those but this time i had plugges the screen to the phone and THEN realized i forgot the seal around the edges so i had to unplug it and put the seal. i would suggest adding that as a note in the video before you connect the screen to the phone. so if one has those seals or glue that goes on the edges between the screen and the phone to put that on before connecting.
Thanks for this video. It's the first time I ever fixed a phone and it worked great!
Awesome tutorial, was my first time and worked like a charm. Thanks
I love your videos you guys are very informative compared to the other guys who do this
Your Connected Thank you very much. That is exactly what I aim for.
Excellent tutorial. Very thorough and detailed. Thank you!
amazing tutorial. just thank you so much
I followed the steps perfectly but now the phone shuts down after 10 seconds of use. What do you think the issue could be?
Replaced the iPhone 6 screen following this tutorial. Only issues are the screen on the side near the volume buttons won't go down all the way. And when using the speakerphone it's really echoey. What could I have done wrong?
Great vid. Worked like a charm on my dead and cracked iphone. !
Ive changed the lcd of my phone and I am disappointed with the screen’s quality. Im missing the original lcd of my phone. Everything still works except for proximity sensor which isn’t working after the replacement and the cellular signal (which is my issue before the replacement).
SUPER!!! I managed to change it .... took time but got there in the end. I did not have the double side tape though nor the padding bits but I used some duck tape for the padding and it was fine. THANK YOU
what did you use for the double sided tape then?
I accidentally ripped and lost my rubber pad that are supposed to go on the connector, I dont have any electricians tape, shall I finish setting up the phone now and buy some and then open it again to put some? Is it that important ??
Also need help with this
screen works fine and home button too, but now my phone wont connect to my pc or itunes but it will still charge, any advice??
Thank you, I successfully replaced my daughters screen in no time,
Does this tutorial goes same with iPhone 6 plus too?
Thank you very much for the video.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you.
I don’t seem to have the tape part next to the home button... is this still doable?
Whats the Best place to buy screen replacement?????
Hello and good morning techies. I need direction if any of you seasoned guys have info. I am looking for a iPhone 6s screen replacement for model A1549. Is it an antique screen. Every time I order one, the digitizer terminals don't match. Where can I purchase the A1549 Screen Replacement?
my new screen came with a pop connector on it by the home button spot exactly where the metal back shield one is? im very confused should i not use the backshield? or not use the new screens connector? its in the way
Thank you very much
Your video helps me save some money👍
Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! Very helpful!
Great video. Too bad the replacement screen I ordered as a kit didn't come with some samples of the 3M 300 SLE tape so I had to order the smallest amount on Amazon tonight with rush 1-day delivery since I now without a working iPhone until I can complete the last steps in the process.
i didn`t remove the plastic off ,from the back of the new scree , at 10:35 in this video .will that cause the phone not to turn on ? i just finished the replacement screen and it doesn`t turn on
Amazing job!!! thank you so much!!
Thank you so much! So easy to follow the instructions. Got my phone fixed in less than 45 minutes
What to do when the screws for the sides wont come out? I'm having a difficult time trying to take it out
Tylor Crump for normal sized screws you can buy a cheap screw extractor set. I did a quick search and there are micro extractor kits but I have no experience with that size.
did you ever figure it out, im having the same problem
Successful, but had a hiccup. The flash won't work. I'm a little confused, as it's not a part of the screen where I did all my work. Any advice of where I should look to fix this?
I dont know if I messed up the cables because now my screen is black, the phone is on but there is no light from the screen, it's just black
Great tutorial
Thanks, this video was so helpful.
i would try to do this since i mess up my the connectors wile changing a crack screen and i do not want to give up on doing it my self until it works....
Thanks for the video. However, the sticky adhesive tape sold on his website is not the red slim one used in the video. Don't waste about 10 bucks for the tape. Just use whatever you have.
Thanks, not sure if I have the guts to try this.
I'll just hope I don't break my phone so a repair won't be necessary. .
Thank you so much. I've successfully changed mine.
I have an old iPhone 6 that has a working screen. Can I just disconnect the 3 ribbon connectors from each phone and transfer the entire screen from my old one to my new one?
^ its just temporary, I plan to switch back after a week or two, I won't need touchID
Very detailed video - Do not try iPhone screen replacement without watching this video
Do I need the panel which you are installing at 11:03 ? My screws are rounded and I am unable to take the panel off to transfer it to my replacement
Have changed the screen and battery on my HTC 10 successfully, Now will be doing the same on my partners IPhone 6. After watching this Video I think the iPhone will be much more of a challenge. That being said, things are only complicated the first time you do them.
Thank you very much for the step by step with lots of great close up, visuals. I've never used an iPhone but now have successfully replaced the screen and battery on one.
Super easy great job on the instruction. Im a teacher and even a student could follow this to learn
I got a kit and it came with the back plate thing and a home button but no Touch ID thing, what does that mean? Lol
Great Video. Helped me through the whole process.
Awesome.
im stuck on how to emove the screws
Bruh
I’m having tryouts getting the screws out of the side
thank you so much!
I'm really disappointed. I ordered what I thought was a screen for am iPhone 6 +. So, first of all, the screen that I got through Amazon only has two wire harnesses and the screen that I took off the phone has three. Is that a problem? Secondly, after I followed the steps, all I'm getting is a screen that turns on with the Apple logo showing. What do I do?
Did this video worked great thankyou
You don't necessarily need to order the 3M 300 LSE tape. In my situation, there was just enough residual glue from the original iPhone prox sensor housing and camera dust cover that it worked without tape. I wasted a 1-day rush order on a 4"x8" sheet of the 3M 300 LSE tape. If you have to get the tape, do as the video says, buy the roll instead.
Im at the end and the last connectors is hard to connect
Idk what I did wrong but some of the screws won’t go back in and now the home button doesn’t work at all. Ughhh
Thanks 👍
@19:01 can i use anything else my old adhesive wouldn't peel off
what does that procedure cost?..compared to just buying a new phone.?
the screen is just 15$
