@@johnojelabi1405 Dont forget to also buy the Waterproof seal that you removed when opening the screen. And also, disconnect the battery first! Before anything else, you can risk shorting any small components in the mobo. And also, if you were a fan of the True Tone functionality, you won't be able to use it unless you reprogram the screen with a reprogrammer. The one I have is the JC V1
Thank you so much! I watched a few videos before I found yours. You’re the only one that explains how to put it back together. I had a terrible time with the home button and in the end it didn’t work 😂 oopppss but the rest did so Siri will just have to be real busy until I can get back in there.
i was nervous to do this myself as i have never done this before, just ds repairs. but following your video and taking my time i was able to! home button and touch id still work, along with everything else. thank you
Had to install a new screen because I cracked it whilst putting in a new battery. The kit i used didn't come with a metal prying tool or anyway to heat the glue around the screen! Anyway, managed to follow this excellent tutorial and my phone is back to 100% again. Be warned that some of the steps can be quite tricky and re-inserting the plugs can also be tricky!
Thank you! You just effectively save me a huge heads. The most tricky was to get the protections of the connectors back on. My screwdriver was not magnetic in the tiny screws kept flying all over the place.
Well done for mentioning the screws need to return to the same spot, as the longer screw will go too far into the shorter holes and damage the circuit board immediately below. This is important! Its best to use a magnetized mat with the screw positions labeled on it.
its taking me hours to put the bloody screws back in, I got it all apart fin but so far its taken me an hour to put two screws in you make it look so easy

"unable to activate touch ID on this phone". ( I replaced a cracked white screen with a new black screen. It looks nice with the white button, but the button isn't being recognized. Would this make a difference? [follow up] I returned the home button back to the original damaged screen and it works. This means the new screen is the fault.
i've recently replaced my screen on my iphone 8 and now it keeps becoming unresponsive. I can fix the issues by restarting the device using the volume and side bottom method. But i am curious to know of any more long term solutions to my problem? and help would be much appreciated.
did this but screen is not turning on, even though i hear the phone turning on and it vibrates when i switch it to vibrate on the side. any ideas on why this could be happening?
Question - so once you have pried open the screen, the water proof glue is off, therefore the device is no longer water proof, right? Can you reapply the waterproof glue? Any thoughts on that please?
You have to pry it apart it's glued. I understand if you felt too much resistance, you might be better off taking it to a shop, if you rip that able it's game over for the phone.

EXCELLENT WORK! Just fixed my daughter’s screen today. THANK YOU!
Very detailed guideline. I was confused with the screws which type goes in which part. Many thanks for your video...!!!!
That's how a tutorial's done! Thank you for this.
Thank you! You just effectively save me a huge heads. The most tricky was to get the protections of the connectors back on. My screwdriver was not magnetic in the tiny screws kept flying all over the place.
I had the same problem! I waved a magnet over the tip of the screwdriver and that worked for a bit
Perfect level of detail and just the right tips when needed.
Fixed my phone no problem 😃Expect replacement screen ! Was missing some parts for the camera, so I took it from the old screen🤣
That was smart

Cheers dude, your guide emboldened me to change the screen on my wife’s phone. All working 👍
I accidentally stripped a screw thread. Its insanely hard working with the camera and home button bit as a beginner managed it in the end
I fixed it wow... I am really really not good with mechanics and wow can't believe I did this. Thanks.

Should the battery be disconnected while removing and replacing the screen ?
Yes. 100% it should to be safe.
I'm surprised he didn't mention that.
Best repair video I ha e seen ever!
Do you have a video that will show me how to fix a iPhone 8 speaker? And a iPhone 7 screen?
Should I take out the SIM card before replacing? If I leave it in will it screw up the SIM card?
do you have to put the sheld back on
I forgot to take off the back sheet and mount it on the new one. Is it bad? Everything works fine

A perfect way, I went the same and got my phone fixed but heat gun will help removing ribbons well.

Wil the phone still be water resistant after this?

Question - so once you have pried open the screen, the water proof glue is off, therefore the device is no longer water proof, right? Can you reapply the waterproof glue? Any thoughts on that please?
It needs to be cleaned off and you need to buy a new waterproofing gasket (for a proper repair). 5$ for 2x so its cheap
@@watchingsometube Is the waterproofing gasket you mention made specifically for use in iPhone or is it a general purpose gasket for industrial use?
Brilliant. Thank you.
Good job best of luck

Get tools at store.appledollars.com as long as you transfer the original home button over to the new screen, Touch ID will work just fine.
