Thank you Dr Ania and Claudia for discussing this great topic that many of us are interested in. The more I listen about Sculptura the more it scares me of trying! Specially about the granulomas! is there a safe and effective external options (like creams etc) available for facial fat loss, forehead wrinkles and smile lines(nasolabial folds)?!
Granulomas, while they can happen, are very rare. But I understand your fear
There us nothing topical, unfortunately, that will do what sculptra does

Hi Claudia 👋👋👋
You look so radiant, natural & very beautiful… I feel you have got perfection now with your face and I’m so very happy for you…
I stopped having filler years ago because roughly 3yrs ago, I had a horrendous reaction, where the whole side of my face swelled up and was rock hard (like cement), it would last for ages and then go down and then swell up again!
I dissolved it by about 6 injections over time (6 months or so) but not too sure if worked properly or not.
It scared me so much because I couldn’t really know what actually caused it and the provider wasn’t sure either!
The funny thing, is that if not had any filler for a couple years before this actually happened, so very interesting on why it did…
Anyhow, happy New Year and I wish you the absolute BEST for 2024….
You deserve everything you wish for ❤❤❤
Hi gorgeous
That sounds scary and I do not blame you for never wanting filler. I am honestly scared of it as well

Dr. Rajani has great results from PRF and shows the difference in the health of the facial fat pads through his face X-rays on the patients receiving PRF. You should do an interview with him. He’s very thorough and has been doing it for a long time.

Hello Claudia.. Wonderful video!! I loss some facial fat from Ultheraphy...so I have tried Sculptra and I had a great result from my first treatment.. i will continue my treatments. I had PRP under my eyes and i find it has help my dark circles....Happy Holidays Claudia
Hi Suzanne, I am sorry to hear that you experienced fat loss but am glad to hear that sculptra and PRP is working well for you
xx
Thank you for another informative video Claudia. Renuva sounds really promising (except for the price), especially if you can do this to the under eyes. Where I live Lanluma is used for enhancing body not so much the face, and from what I've read you actually get more product per vial (perhaps it's just more densely packed so you get more of the product per cc of liquid). Coincidentally I had a Sculptra treatment two weeks ago and I do happen to have an autoimmune disorder. I read a lot about it but never saw autoimmune diseases as a contraindication. Fingers crossed I'll be fine. Strangely enough my face is already looking better. I know that there is some extra fullness right after the injection but it's now been two weeks so it should've gone by now. And apparently it takes about a month for the body to start producing new collagen so I don't get where this slight extra fullness is coming from. Perhaps ironically it's my autoimmune disorder that is speeding up the process 😅
I hope you will have great results with it, please keep me posted
xx
Hi, I have Sjogren's syndrome. When talking to the doc who injected me she made me aware of potential for granuloma and also mentioned a friend who had Sjogren's as well and who had an allergic reaction to Sculptra. I couldn't find a connection between an allergy to Sculptra and Sjogren's when looking online so went ahead with the procedure. I had an instant result after the injecting due to the fluid that acted like filler and some mild swelling. The swelling went away immediately but that slight fullness from the fluid never did so even though it's only been two weeks I can see a slight difference. I've heard that it will be at least a month before new collagen is produced so I honestly cannot tell what's giving me the fullness but it is noticeable, especially when I smile. Honestly, if I can keep this result permanently I'll be pretty happy with the procedure. I do not take immunosuppressants but it's a possibility that these would impact the result. I have a very high inflammation level in my body already so kind of thought that perhaps my overreactive immune system is working overtime to battle Sculptra so I got quicker results - just a wild guess. I've done a little bit more research after watching Claudia's video and have not come across anything to say that Sculptra won't work on people with autoimmune disorders. It mostly says you are more likely to get granuloma and nodules. Sculptra didn't work for Claudia either so perhaps it has nothing to do with your autoimmune disease@@MyshelLeAnn
Well that’s good thing to know . Honest and straightforward it will save me some money and after finishing my peptide serums I’m can invest in a better moisturizer.

Another great video Claudia! Very helpful for me as I have also experienced facial fat loss over the last couple of years. I cannot have sculptra due to Hashimoto's thyroid disease. Reneuva is not available in Canada so I am left with fat transfer. I will go for a consult with a plastic surgeon later this year, I am better prepared and have some questions to ask that I had not thought of before watching some of your videos. Thanks again!

Great video, Claudia. I've been wanting to ask you for a while if you've heard of Seffiller, so this is the perfect opportunity. It involves fat but it's not like a fat transfer in the traditional sense; they take adipose tissue that contains Stromal Vascular Component (SVF) and Mesenchymal Stem Cells (ADSCs) and re-inject it into your face. It's basically a filtered fat injection that also contains your stem cells. The fat is finer than that in regular fat transfer procedures and the procedure itself is less invasive. I've been wanting to do it for a while, so I will be getting it done in a few months. There have been a lot of studies already with very good outcomes, so this might be the next big thing.
Wow, I have not heard of that but it does sound intriguing! I will definitely look into it

Amazed she hasn’t mentioned Tixel - this is as good as the CO2 Lazer but the downtime is far less. It can be brilliant around the eye area. It’s an ablative treatment, though you can actually do non ablative with Tixel too for skin rejuvenation it’s just not quite as effective.
Have you had Tixel done in your eye area? Do they use the ablative setting on the eye area? Would love to know more.

Hi Claudia! Such an informative video! I know you mentioned you were giving the Alastin peptide serum a try and I will be anxious to hear your review. Are you using any other peptide serums along with the Alastin such as the GF serums you have highlighted in conjunction with your microneedling treatments? Also, I am a bit confused about topical Hyaluronic Acid. It sounds like low molecular HA can cause inflammation in some people and high molecular HA is too large of a molecule to penetrate skin? Do I have that right? Are you still using high molecular HA and, if so, when do you use it? Thank you! Terri
Hi Terri, glad you enjoyed this.
For now I am only using the Alastin serum, no growth factors, to get a feel for it. So far I really like it, but I can not tell you that it has done wonders for my skin.
As far as HA, yes, low molecular weight can be pro inflammatory, which is why some experts don't like it. High molecular does not absorb deeply, but its purpose is really just to help with hydration.
Personally, I think HA is overrated, but I know many love it. I have only really ever used it when microneedling. But since I stamp now, instead of doing circles, and I do not need anything for slip, I no longer use it.
xo

"Renuva uses processed donor tissue to replace lost volume in the treated area, and the injected fat particles integrate with the surrounding tissues, stimulating the growth of new fat cells. This can lead to results that can last for several months to years, depending on individual factors and the treatment area."
Have you tried it Natalie?

@@claudiaglows no the above quote is from a website generated from Google.
When I microneedle myself, I double cleanse first, then 2x washes with an antiseptic cleanser. One of which I leave on the skin for a few minutes. Then I swab with alcohol. (I also bleach my bathroom beforehand. Everything, including door handles, faucet knobs on the sink, etc. It's crazy seeing people barely rinse their face snd cross contaminate like it's a new sport.

Nah im hapoy with facial fat loss i had big cheeks and now my cheeks and even chin shape is didferent. I do microneedling, fibroplasty and if needed plastic surgery if needed . Once im very skinny i fly to do surgety .
if energy based devices can cause fat loss, can you use them to get rid of eye bags?
That’s a great question
I will ask Dr Ania next time or hopefully she will chime in here
Same question here. I heard from another doctor that it can but definitely depending on the skill of the provider.
Apparently some RF devices can do that...
I got 8 vials of Sculptra over the course of a year to year and a half and got nothing in return. Huge waste of money. I wish Laluma(probably spelling that wrong) was available here. It seemed like you only got 1 vial of it Claudia. Is that the case?
I am sorry to hear sculptra did not do anything for you either
Yes, after one vial of Lanluma I saw a huge difference
@@claudiaglows The difference with one treatment is UNBELIEVABLE! Any ideas on why it’s not available in the states? Oh right… probably because it works 😂
Can you please tell me the injector that u were referring to that switched?
Unfortunately I do not know here name but I can see if I can find d out
@@claudiaglows That would be great thank you so much
I totally disagree with fat loss not happening with lasers. She is correct with fat loss due to energy based devices, but they both can affect fat. I heard a plastic surgeon actually say to not get co2 under the eyes because it is incredibly delicate and lasers well....aren't.:)
Hi Danielle
Did this surgeon say that it melts under eye fat?
Yes. And it actually happened to a friend of mine. She got co2 for the eye area. . And it later revealed what looked like bags months after. The eye area is I know you know this, extremely thin. So to do something like co2 even on a low setting can be very powerful. Some people may be able to do it and it not affect them that way, but my friend was affected. Also.. Ben, the creator of the Osmosis skin line doesn't even think people should do Fraxel under the eye, which comparatively speaking is much gentler. I'm just trying to help people think b4 they dive right in. Hope this helps!
@@danielledickens4055hi thank you for telling us about your experience but if you don’t mind can you ask what we can do for that area as I was thinking of having corona laser 🙏
@@danielledickens4055 I think it also depends on the skill of the provider
@@ummtaimann6819 Hi, what is your particular concern that you were thinking of getting laser...?
This is sooooo demoralizing for people with autoimmune conditions who want to slow down aging. The doc says NOT to treat with ANYTHING that stimulates the body's healing process. That pretty much covers everything except HA fillers, which she's not a huge fan of, which can ALSO create a problem. I wish they discusses WHICH autoimmune conditions are more prone to flare up with these procedures. So sad.
The doc also mentioned she prefers filler under eyes because the other procedures cause trauma and it leads to poor lymphatic drainage. But so does filler. Filler can block the lymph nodes and press on them and prevent drainage. My other question would be about Renuva. The doc says she doesn't like it because it's donor tissue. Why can't the doctor's office have some kind of machinery or protocol for using patient's own tissue to make a product like Renuva? Curious.
Hi, I know it can be somewhat depressing, but this is just one person opinion. If I were you able to do my own research and then go from there.
As far as using your own tissue, you can definitely do that, that is called a fat transfer. It is somewhere invasive, though, because it does involve a small surgery.
I did hear another doc say they have autoimmune patients and do scluptra on them with no problems. Every doc has their own opinion. But it does give me great pause because the potential for an adverse reaction is greater. Fat grafting I've been told by so many docs is inconsistent and unpredictable. @@claudiaglows

Did you ever hear of renuva ?
Yes, we actually talk about that in this video
@@claudiaglows ok I seen . Do you know if there are any side effects ?
@@capellihairextsny I am not certain about side effects, but Dr Ania talks about it in detail in this video
@@capellihairextsny I am not sure, I only know as much as Dr Ania taught us in this video
The name is "RENUVA" not Renova.
Why are you now endorsing dr.pen instead of derminator?
Both a great devices but Dr Pen has much better and kinder customer service
Hi beautiful great video, although I don’t agree with Dr , and I see that some dr like dr Stephanie , also kind of stays with what they did. And she spoke only about prf, and diminished to prp?, thats not cool. I follow dr Rajani for years, and I believe he was behind prf gel, not prf, but spinning blood at certain speed to create natural filler, not just prf. And since he started that, almost every state has practice who does this filler. And also he trains worldwide, and he is very popular. Also looking at his work, it looks amazing results. Now it’s still kind of new, also you pay only for work, because blood is yours😉. Now if this wasn’t working , as well as we see results, then ppl worldwide would not invest in trainings, and customers like us wouldn’t demand ez prf filler. Also dr Rajani haven’t been taken new customers, since pandemic, so he doesn’t really have what to gain🤔 anyways i listened to many doctors, and thermage is great if used right way, in certain areas. I was watching dr Stephanie videos, and she explained that for snatched jawline, is the best… Have a blessed day🙏❤️
I have tried ez gel twice. The lady said you need at least 3 treatments to see a huge difference. The first treatment was beautiful! The second treatment was not all that. But I believe it’s because I dranked alcohol the night prior. So next time I’m not doing that.
@@vegancatlady1017 great to hear. alcohol lol 😝 I haven’t tried yet, but I am definitely going to do that in 2024. How many CC you used first and second time. Its like filler so might didnt put enough. I think Dr Rajani does around 10 syringes per treatment for himself🤔 I think
Hi gorgeous
It is a bit frustrating when experts don’t agree on certain treatments. But, I have to say I really trust Dr. Ania as well as Stefani Kapple.
I hope you have a wonderful, holiday season, lots of love to you and your hubby
@@giedrebey5444 she used a thin cannula needle to go through my face, which she used to treat my under eyes with this method. I do see a huge difference though overall , I like it. I just know I will be healthier next time for the third session & maybe do some scupltra

Hello Claudia, can you disclose the name of the lanluma expert from Paris?😊
Hi, unfortunately I do not know. My provider was Dr Guzman in Paris
Thank you😊
Claudia???...You look ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ,YOUNG AND SUPER SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..AMAZING work..!!!..BRAVO...I need this too) LIKE
Awww, thank you ❤️
It's not fat loss that's the problem is fat drop to the jawline.
This is muscle sagging. Your fat doesn't move around in your face. It loses volume ie diminishes.
A plastic surgeon needs to put the muscle back where it was when you were younger.
I think we all struggle with that one as well :(
@@claudiaglowsI've actually had some great results with Botox in the DAO
that is great to hear
x@@tracymullane8818
But what causes it to drop?
I’m very surprised that you do any synthetic fillers because of the toxins. You are very natural like me and I just don’t feel safe injecting anything into my skin.
all these youtubers can drive the audience crazy by all these conflicting informations. For instance, Stefani Kappel is all about lasers such as thermage and she thinks red light therapy causes pigmentation and microneeling is useless while others are praising the exact opposite! 😡. Am i the only one who feels like these 2 ladies have rubbed oil on their faces in order to look “ glowy”?
no oil on our faces. But I agree, there is a lot of conflicting information about skincare and just about anything, unfortunately.
I agree, it can seem like conflicting information. Dr. Kappel is strongly against inexperienced providers that can cause harm. Microneedling does not require the same rigorous training as laser education and aestheticians can do it. So she prefers to get the job done with a laser. It's also easy to cause harm by using at home microneedling, so we don't recommend these types of treatments. Dr. Kappel prefers lasers because she is truly a laser girl. I prefer to mix it up because I think that approaching the skin from different angels is beneficial. She would probably prefer to mix up different laser treatments. There is not right or wrong here. Just preference.
Dr. Kappel also loves Thermage and has it in her office but that does not mean it works on everyone. Results are never guaranteed for any treatment. I had thermage with no improvement. You might try it and have great results. Also - the person performing the treatment matters! But even with the same operator, some will have a good result, others no results. So the information isn't as conflicting as much as individuals vary in their reponses to treatment.
Red light if used properly and on the right candidate and with a high quality device will be beneficial BUT, not all devices are good, not everyone is a good candidate and people often overdo it and this can lead to pigmentation.
We are not fans of oil on the skin. This may be conflicting information if you look across the derm spectrum but the teachings of Dr. Obagi and his years of experience really show that oil makes skin lazy and can be inflammatory. In the end though, try different things, and listen to your skin!
Question! So I had prf injected under the eyes one time and it was very painful! Now like Dr. Ania said I have a strange puffiness under my eyes which I would assume is bc my lymphatic drainage was damaged. Is this something that can heal, or is it permanent?? @theocbeautymd
It's difficult to predict but you can try very gently massage to help the drainage. You may see that over time, it will improve.
@@theocbeautymd Dr. Rajani who I respect and follow on UA-cam strongly believes in PRF injections and says it helps with lymphatic drainage and has never seen this issue. I only had it done one time. Maybe it’s not the issue I’m seeing.
Yes he loves PRF and he also mixes is with sculptra. I think it's his signature combo@@Rravyn
@@theocbeautymd well in your opinion do you think a one time injection of PRF has damaged my lymphatic drainage? I know in the video you said multiple injections cause the trauma.
A single needle poke should not cause any significant scarring. @@Rravyn
