@@daniellangewisch yeah to be honest that’s why I’m buying it I think. I want either the Airpod Max or wait a few months for the Airpod Pro 2 to come out. $550 is a bit much for the Max even though they’re quality built and I appreciate that but the AirPods Pro are so much more versatile but the battery life is weak. I don’t mind a bigger ear bud if they double the battery life… that will also help with battery degradation that occurs on any wireless device that requires rechargeable batteries

Great video. Not sure if anyone mentioned it but if you want to initiate the color balancing, you cannot be on the Dolby Vision setting. You have click off DV and perform the color balance and then click on DV after.

@@adambroussard2987 I should have clarified that not every app supports it yet. It is up to the app developers to update the app and add support for it!

Thanks for the video! Especially scrubbing with the remote. I never knew how that worked. One thing you can add to the video is synchronising audio as picture and sound were not in sync in my situation. The Apple TV can do that for you too. Great feature.

Very helpful tips. I have a CEC capable smart TV and made sure that was enabled on TV and the AppleTV. At first I could tell HomePod Siri to turn on my TV and the TV would come on and switch to the HDMI port the AppleTV uses. Now when I use that command the AppleTV device powers up but dumps me to the smart TV’s start screen and not the HDMI screen the AppleTV uses.

Hi I have issue with dolby vision video on my hisense 55 4k tv.... problem is that dolby vision videeo coming with 8 bit video while it should be 10 bit on my tv as it is 10 bit panel.... google os is showing 10 bit video on same tv for dobly vision... kindly help...

Can you name the folders
I’m pulling my hair out. Neither my 4k Siri Remote or my Apple TV iPhone 12 Pro remote will work. And honestly I’m struggling to find the Menu you show with remotes and devises. I use Xfinity and can get to the ATV app that way….but really just to select something to watch. Any suggestions sure would be appreciated. Ty.🌷

Mirroring is essential for me, especially when wanting to see internet content on my big screen. Thanks for the other tips. I shall use many of them. As far as playing audio to my headphones or Beat EarPods, I use surround sound amplifier and speakers. Can the AppleTV preempt the amplifier and send audio to my headphone/ear pods?

@@daniellangewisch Yeah thanks. I have the older Apple TV, purchased the newer Apple TV remote and just got the Sonos ARC for a sound bar. My objective was to make it super simple for my wife to use the TV and I have accomplished this. The apple remote controls the Apple TV, Volume and mute on the Sonos ARC and turns my TV on and off.
I have an older Samsung 60” TV that I got for free and repaired so I can’t take advantage of any of the ARC or eARC sound but it still sounds and looks really good. When this TV dies I’ll get an eARC TV with pass through and the newest Apple TV so that I experience Dolby Atmos. Until then I’ll have to settle for really good sound.

Streaming from IPhone/Mac Airplay to the screen?
I don’t find the apple iPhone a good alternative for tv control. It’s missing controls or I don’t understand how to use it. Probably the later. Swiping up doesn’t do anything on mine except open subtitles
Does Apple TV 4K 2022 work with the external sound bar? Via Bluetooth or the HDMI- ARC out?
I have it set up with HDMI - ARC but I believe it should work with Bluetooth as well!

Hi Daniel! Maybe you can help me because I haven’t resolved with Apple Support 🤭🙄🤣 Do they know they have Apple TV 4K? 😳
I have the Apple TV 4K and also my iTunes movies library that appears perfectly on the apple tv menu, the things is once that I open my library on the apple tv on my tv (obviously 🙄🤣) and show all my movies, when I click in one of them, they start playing the movie inmediately, I don’t have the option as I have it on my iPhone or iPad to see first the info about the movie like year made, if is 4K or Stereo, movie duration or the extras options (if any) like behind the scenes, deleted scenes etc etc, Apple is saying they dont have tthat, is only available on iPhone or iPad 😳 just want to reconfirm this with you as it seems that you are the real genius behing all this! Many many thanks and best wishes for 2022 ❤️

Hey, Tania! You are going to want to go into "Settings", "Remotes and Devices", and scroll down to make sure "Control TVs and Receivers" is turned on. You also need to make sure that you have enabled CEC in your TV settings. You can google how to do that with your model of TV if you are confused. Hope that helps! Can I connect Apple tv4K (2021) with my television via HDMI 2.0 and home theatre system (DD 5.1 surround sound) via HDMI ARC of television for getting DD surround sound from apple tv4K? My television supports DD surround sound.
Well alot of us have androids which you failed to mention that this item is also android friendly.

How about integration with a high end audio system? Or working as a DVR?
Hey, Jay! Thanks for checking out the video. Those are good suggestions! I don’t believe that the Apple TV can function as a DVR. In terms of high end audio, it should be able to work well with any system. It will work especially well if you have a group of Airplay speakers such as speakers from Sonos. Hope this helps! 😃
@@daniellangewisch Thanks for your reply! I imagine someone could come up with a DVR app, but I don’t believe that Apple would allow that. Yes I understand you can use some airplane speakers, but that would bypass the whole high end audio system, no? Of course, the industry would love if you would buy a whole new system every time a new piece of technology comes out, but that’s very expensive and definitely not carbon friendly, right? What needs to be done is finding a way to get high and audio signal into Apple TV from conventional sources like radio, records, tapes, and CDs.

Great Video, My Question is there a way to completely turn off my Samsung TV with the Apple TV remote. NOW, the Apple TV remote only option is to put the Apple TV to Sleep, so it does turn off the Samsung TV for 30 seconds, and then the Samsung TV comes back on requiring me to use the TV remote to power off the TV. Any ideas to get the TV to stay turned off?? Thanks
If I press and hold the off button on my Apple TV remote it shuts down the Apple TV and my LG TV

The reason you did not need to color balance is because you are set to Dolby Vision and Dolby Vision does not use this

Do you know how to configure the Apple TV so that when you use it to turn on the TV, the menu for the TV doesn’t show in front of the Apple TV menu for several seconds. In other words, only the Apple TV menu is displayed?

Why does the new Apple 4K abort streaming TV sessions to return to the menu? I tried setting the Sleep Mode to Never, but that did not work. About three hours later, the TV was at the menu. I then Restarted the Apple 4K. Is there another secret setting?

Forget apple TV. It is very expensive and most cases today you don't get your money's worth. The fire cube is the best streaming solution on the market today. It is a lot cheaper than the Apple and it is an excellent product with the only downside being that they only last a year and then you've got problems. Save a few dollars and buy the second Gen cube. You won't be sorry.

On an LG OLED screen there are different "Picture Modes" for SDR Standard Definition Range, HDR, Dolby Vision, etc, and the screen changes Picture Mode according to the source content served up. So I am not sure if "Color Balance" can be used to calibrate each individual Picture Mode. I think not, so have not used "Color Balance", just the screen display settings. But maybe somebody can clarify this??
Hey, Fly Swat! Thanks for checking out the video. If you are using Dolby Vision (like me), then you will not need to do the "color balance" feature. However, any other picture mode, that should be an option. However, you do not need to do it for each one. Hope that helps!
Dolby Vision is too dark in apple tv 4k. Not worth it. So disappointed.
The Dolby Vision is still better in the android TV built in app.
And does not support HDR10+.

The "three-clicks" that activates the voice over is so annoying
Hey there! Thanks for checking out the video. I have never run into that issue but I could see that being annoying, especially when double clicking the menu button to navigate between apps! I wish there was a way to permanently disable that feature if you don't use it.
Shame you can’t use spatial audio with those shit earbuds…
