- How to load, secure and unload a motorcycle using a Uhaul motorcycle trailer, and a Uhaul 5x9 trailer with a ramp.
For people that don't have a trailer and may need to trailer their bike cross country or to the dealership, these are options to consider.

Didn't know about the suspension in the different trailers Thanks for the info something to look for
I'm glad you found it helpful! 🤙
This is great info. Didn't see the video and I just rented one without suspension.
I think riding it up slowly is the best option. I feel you have a little more control with the bike under you for balance purposes.I think your strapping placement is also very good.
Very good explanation and camera work.
I'm sure people transporting their bikes appreciate all the effort and knowledgable thought you have put into this.
Thank you my friend.
peace
Thank you Eric! you are too kind my friend! personally i totally agree with you about riding the bike up, it's much easier, but some might not feel comfortable with that method and just in case the bike is too low to clear the top of the ramp. Thank you Eric for your support brother!
@@ontherebel11 the way to keep it from bottoming out when you load, place a piece of wood ( I use 2 one foot pieces of a 4x4 ) at the point where the ramp hits the ground. By placing the wood there it changes the loading angle giving you more clearance.
This is a very good video for people who never loaded a bike onto a uhaul
Thank you Tony, I'm glad you found it helpful brother! 🤙
Outstanding video, thank you!! I’m definitely using the 5x9 trailer next time because the smaller one dedicated to motorcycles seemed too light, was extremely noisy and bounced all over the place.
Really appreciate you taking the time to make this video.
Thank you for your kind words sir! If one is planning a longer haul, the 5x9 with suspension is the way to go! I'm happy that you found the video helpful! 👍
What a wonderful experiment!!
Thank you Miguel!
Excellent video. Thanks!
Thank you Art! 🙏
Thanks for the detailed video! Awesome
Thank you! 🤙
Fantastic video. Keep it up.
Thank you John! 🙏 Much appreciated brother!
Excellent Demo. I can never do the walk up to the trailer parking. Sitting on the bike I am more comfortable in rolling it up or down.
Thank you Amer, some bike / trailer ramp combinations don't provide enough clearance, so I had to learn early on to push the bike up so that the oil pan doesn't hit, with the Uhaul trailers It looks like I won't have to worry about that on the rebel! 🙏
So haply you did this because im loading my on a uhaul trailer when i get mine
I'm glad you found it helpful! 🤙
Thank you.
great vid
Thank you Tony! 🙏
Very helpful!
I'm glad to hear that! 🙏
Very helpful
Thank you for your kind feedback Keith!!!!
brilliant
Thank you TK! 🙏
nice thx so much
You are very kind Julio! Thank you! ✌️
Thank you for detailed video. Do you also have video how to drive while towing bike trailer! Tips and tricks
Hi Ranjit! I'm happy it it helpful brother! i don't have a video unfortunately but i would advise to increase distance between you and other cars, easy acceleration and braking, do not turn sharply and be mindful of the larger turning radius needed. best of luck sir!
Looks like someone is headed to Daytona!!
LOL don't i wish!
My is the same color by the way
Congratulations Paloma!!!! 🤙
Any crayon pen for tank scratch, my got damaged
I'm really sorry about that, Several of us have struggled to find touch up paint with no luck, i got some pens off amazon for tiny scratches but i don't think they will work for the tank. this is what a few of us got based on the recommendation of a friend in the Facebook group

Amazing vdo which brands if straps did you use?
Thank you TK! These are the ones I have, you could get something smaller from home depot and they will do the trick, mine are from 2009 lol www.google.com/amp/s/loadall.com/apps/fireamp/products/gator-ratchet-strap-set
@@ontherebel11 rice I got 12 ft i hope they wont 'too long'
@@Tkh21209 no worries, you'll pull the extra length through the ratchet, you'll be alright 👍
@@ontherebel11 what do you mean by compressing suspension, do I have to do something or do you mean not too much "pull" on the suspension?
@@Tkh21209 right, not too much pull down on the suspension, if you pull down the suspension all the way down, you risk blowing a seal. Easy does it.
You should wrap around the lower forks instead of compressing the suspension
👍
U-Haul won't rent motorcycle trailers for one way trips. You have to return it to the store it came from. How stupid is that????
It's so annoying isn't it?! But you can take the 5x9 one way I believe, it costs a little more though...
Totally agree it makes no sense. BUT, if you can get one, they have a one-way utility trailer with the motorcycle wheel chalk in front, and the ramp on this one is better than on their motorcycle trailer.
They do, I’m doing it today
They let you do one way trips if possible. Im doing it as I type this
Thank you for sharing your experience! This will be helpful to others! 🤙
do NOT compress the suspension!!!! let the bike bounce. tie it at the front fender around the forks.
Thank you for your feedback Vincent
Don’t listen to his directions Allways put tension on the suspension otherwise the bike will works its way free. The way you showed in the video is fine keep doing it that way. 👍🏼 keeping the bike straight with pulling tension front and putting the back straps pulling towards the front is the RIGHT way. @ontherebel11
Thank you for your support! 🤙
@@GunsNpyro mmmmk. I truck my harley everywhere over 5 hours. Never had mine come loose. I dont want to buy shocks every year.
