Bonjour Ange, gardez à l'esprit que cela fait 40 000 km. J'ai vu d'autres motos dont la chaîne, les pignons et les roulements devaient être changés beaucoup plus tôt. Toutes les motos présentent des éléments d’usure, c’est tout à fait normal. toutes les motos ont un problème, c'est normal, ne soyez pas surpris. Tout choix de moto sera un compromis et nécessitera un compromis. Tous ces éléments ne sont pas considérés comme des défauts, mais simplement des éléments d’usure, et chaque véhicule en est équipé. En fin de compte, c'est votre argent durement gagné et vous savez ce qui est le mieux pour vous, Triumph, BMW, KTM, Royal Enfiled... ont tous des problèmes, continuez simplement à faire autant de recherches que possible avant de prendre une décision. décision éclairée sur une moto que vous allez adorer. Enfin, demandez-vous combien de kilomètres vous pensez parcourir par an afin de savoir quelle sera pour vous l’expérience de propriété. ferez-vous 2 000 km par an, ou ferez-vous 10 000 km par an ? Cela vous aidera dans votre décision. Pour être juste et honnête, il sera difficile de trouver une moto aussi facile que la Rebel 1100 à entretenir et à posséder, dans cette classe, à ce prix et à cette valeur.

Hi Simon! Since you will be placing the order, it's best practice to replace both, while you are there, consider adding new caliper bolts for the front and rear since the manual states to replace them when you change your brake pads. btw, i highly recommend replacing the front and rear pads, I've tried 2 different compounds on the front and only 1 on the rear, well worth it if you want better braking.

@@ontherebel11 good morning Gus! Do you have the parts number for the caliper bolts? I’m kind of lost on that? Are those the two bolts on top of brake fluid reservoir that you use to secure both front and rear gaskets ? As for the brake pads should I replace them even if the bike is only 2999 miles? Or just get them now and replace them later when needed? Thank you so much for the help and the heads up about replacing both the white plastic and the rubber gasket for both! 🙏🏾😄

@@SimonLi Hi Simon, The OEM brake pads will last you for many many more thousands of miles, the pads that i'm rcommending are upgrades, if you are happy with the braking performance, no need to upgrade, but it's good to know for the future when you decide to upgrade. If you don't intend on replacing your brake pads, there's no need to get new bolts, but in case, they are listed below.👍 Front Caliper bolts: (Two) 90123-MJP-G50 Rear Caliper Bolts: One: 45131-MN9-006 One: 90180-MN8-006

Hi Simon! Congratulations bro!! do me a favor, double check how far up you are pulling, if the cable is adjusted tightly, it requires quite a bit of force to pull it all the up to the locked position.

I'm sorry to hear that man.... the bike is brand new, i have heard of similar situations where the DCT acted up, most were related to bad/weak battery. But if the bike is under warrantee, take it back to the dealership to get inspected. FYI, i have 30,000 miles on mine over the past for riding seasons with zero issues! fingers crossed

Bonjour Ange, merci pour vos gentils mots. Ne vous fiez jamais à l'écartement correct des bougies d'allumage, vérifiez toujours à nouveau. Je préfère utiliser les bougies d'allumage choisies par les ingénieurs Honda, c'est mieux à long terme. J'ai remplacé le filtre à air par le filtre à air K&N, mais je ne l'ai pas documenté dans cette vidéo, mais j'ai une vidéo séparée expliquant comment changer le filtre à air. Mon vélo bénéficie d'une garantie prolongée de 5 ans, un entretien régulier n'annulera pas la garantie, couper les câbles électriques ou démonter le moteur peut annuler la garantie. Il est recommandé de documenter le moment où vous effectuez l'entretien programmé dans le carnet de garantie et de conserver les reçus des liquides et pièces recommandés par Honda.

Hi Pablo, thank you sharing your experience, I haven't personally seen the new design so I appreciate the insight brother! 🤙

With the new design there's only the two clamps, the two adhesive rubber strips, two spacers and the two bars. There's no longer spacers that go in the arm sleeve bolts. The only spacers that are used are on the inside. The 2024 rebel doesn't have a bolt on both sides of that engine rod (idk what to call it). It only needs to get bolted in on one side, but my friend and I had the worst time feeding the bolt back through due to the engine and housing shifting down a little bit. We got an an airshem and used that to jack up the center. We then used a jack hook to just pull and push the metal some to where we could create enough space for the 2nd spacer cause the crash guards go in the space with the spacers. It was a pain but the guards are on. Thanks for giving us insight on where to lift the bike with the air Shem and the clamp placements.

The top box is awesome man, i took it on a 2,000 trip to test it out, made the ride so much more conformable and convenient, great value too! here's a little segment where i review it on the last day of the trip. Hi John, I use regular petroleum oil, I've heard mixed reviews with people using full synthetic, do your research before making a decision, personally I won't be using synthetic. The bell is supposed to be good luck, one has to be gifted a bell from a friend supposedly. 🤙

Thank you Mark! I do recommend changing the o ring, I've seen numerous oil leaks due to the o ring, personally I wouldn't risk it, but there are owners who opted not to change it, weigh the pros and cons and the decision will come to you, the manual states that you need a new one at every change 🤙

I didn't need to get extensions for the electrical cables, but i strongly recommend and urge you to get a front brake line extension, here is the part number from spieglerusa, ask for the 4 inch. @@motocatz87 Thank you!! To be completely honest with you, i wouldn't have been able to keep the bike had i not installed the risers, i'm very short with short arms. Thank you for your feedback 👍 Everything is relative, a trade off and a compromise I suppose, I just crossed 30,000 touring miles and not once did I wish for a larger tank nor more than 100 mph, where I ride there are lots of gas stations and the speed limit really exceeds 70 mph, but I can understand where that might be an issue in Germany. 🤙

@ontherebel11 I live in Florida and it gets pretty crazy for motorcycle riders here . The cagers are ragers . They will chase you and sometimes more speed than 70 mph is needed to keep you from being an asphalt smear . And I don't like stopping too often , I'm a zoner , becoming hypnotized by riding. But, to each his own. 👋

Absolutely! These tools have saved the day several times both for myself and for friends while we were touring! I have added a couple of things to it, maybe I should do an update video. With the exception of the fire kit, every single tool was used in the field! And particularly last week, the idea of 2 is 1 and 1 is none was proven as I was helping a stranded friend who had a dead battery. Other field repairs were, emergency exhaust repair for my bike with the safety wire while touring, rear brake pads repairs on my friend's bike while touring, rear wheel alignment and chain tensioning on another friend's bike in the middle of nowhere without cell service high up in the mountains, his chain needed to be replaced, but tightening and oiling it got us home, to name a few 🤙

Congratulations man!! I've done multiple +14 hour days with the corbin, no way i could do it on the oem seat... worth every penny and more! I tour quite a bit, i'm at 30,000 miles, so the corbin was a must!
