The last time I was at Diamond Mine, the road was mud and dirt. You're so lucky they have up graded there is another place that sells stones of sort. I'm going to enjoy watching this video. I live in Oklahoma, so it's somewhere I could drive to. Enjoy !
There are 3 active Diamond Mines in Canada and 1 that has already been shutdown. There are also 100's of potential targets that have been found in the Canadian Arctic. I personally worked at the EKATI Diamond Mine, which is where the Famous Ice Road Truckers were heading to in Season 1. I managed the Ice Road for EKATI.
Thank you. It's not for everyone... sometimes I wish we had a Transformer rig which gets shorter! But we've always been able to get to where we want to go.
That was a beautiful campground!! We'll be in Montana the end of June and we're thinking of trying our luck at digging for sapphires. Never done it before looks like fun. Hope you had fun with the grandkids. 💜
I loved how you talked about your diamond events Sondra👍😊❤️‼️And David- the excellent driver prevails again‼️👍😊 Thanks for taking us with you to searc for diamonds I have always wanted to see the st up at that place.
That was interesting. I took one of my daughters and her school class there a few years back. We took shovels picks and bucket and sifters spent most of a day there. Didn't find any diamonds. We all got a great workout digging in the dirt. The school children all learned how to use shovels and digging tools. It was a great trip. Arkansas has many interesting things to do and many interesting places to visit.
I saw some very familiar scenery as you were in my part of the world. How neat that you went to school in Arkansas. You say “Murfreesboro” very well! Just like a local. 😁
That thimble-full of precious minerals you 'amassed' mightn't even be worth a Church's nugget or a single Whataburger pattie. Even funnier was that 'shiny dirt' everyone was squinting at, so much so that you might make good money selling monacles, magnifying lenses, and tweezers.😄 I agree though, Crater of Diamonds State Park includes a beautiful, big-rig-friendly campground with a unique way to pass the time. Thank you for the fun and safe travels, Sondra and David!👍🏾🙏🏾❤️
😆 🤣 we're thinking it's worth maybe a small soda! That's a great idea about the magnifying lens! 😆 🤣 that's where the real money is, in the supplies! 😆 🤣 Thanks for your support each week.
Hello Friends, how are You,pako greets You from Jalisco México, what beautiful landscapes, what a Nice place , good maneuver to park they truck congratulations a hug for both of you greetings
Great video that looked like a lot of fun and your camping site looked real relaxing. Good luck and God Bless your continued trip, I’ll be looking forward to your next video!
How are you and your family? I leave in the Chattanooga Tennessee area and I know about the tornado that touched down in the Huntsville Alabama area. Just wanted to check on everybody and pray that they are all right.
Thank you, Jessica. That is very sweet of you to check. They got a lot of flooding but no damage and everyone is safe. We hope the storms bypassed you as well.
We watch you constantly on out TV. Decided to catch you on the phone. We live in Wyoming and leaving for Alaska June 11 to take a caravan thru. We. Have been travelers in Alaska this being our 4th year.
Thanks 👍J&A, we researched quite a bit especially with all the trees! Your comments are much appreciated with all your experience! Safe travels to you.
I enjoyed watching you both experience another new thing. Couldn’t watch until today as we have been without power since early Friday morning after 3 tornadoes came through Tallahassee very close to our house. All is well. It was killing me not to be able to watch your video but my internet connection wasn’t good enough to watch any videos. You both always put a smile on my face. Too bad you didn’t find a diamond but you did have a priceless experience, again! I look forward to this week’s video, which will be in only a few days! Safe travels.
Thank you so much, Christy. We're glad nothing happened to you but tornados are nothing to take lightly. Sorry about the power outage but glad it's back now.
LOL This past weekend was my first time out in my travel trailer this year... let's just say I need to re-hone my backing up skills! Good thing I wasn't in a rush and I'm not a quitter! And I don't have 73 feet! And yes, bacon in the morning in a campground... *happy feelings*
It's always a challenge to get back in the swing of things regarding backing up the trailer. You got this! It's not intuitive nor natural but it sounds like you persevered! And yes, it helps to NOT be 73 feet! 🤣😂Hope the first outing went well. Appreciate your comments and time watching the channel.
Sometime you might check out Devils Den State Park in AR in the fall. Beautiful area. Also, when guiding, I have seen the pros use the terms “driver” and “passenger” to indicate which way to turn the wheel to avoid confusion.
That State park looked awesome I’m not sure I’m gonna dig for diamonds 💎 my wife has a ton so if she wants another one I’ll go to Jerad’s Galleria for jewelry. You guys look to be having the best time it’s really awesome to see
I wanted to share with you that I was at a Whataburger on Atlantic blvd in Jax beach Florida this past Saturday. I took a picture but could not figure out how to post it. It sure was good. You cannot go wrong with a whataburger. The folks that wait on you are always polite.
The week of diamonds was quite circular with the sun and moon starting things off, then David coming full circle in Murfreesboro only to encounter the roundabout in the center of town, not to mention that expertly navigated and driven circular driveway at the visitor's center, and we're only 14 minutes into the show.
My dad always said "an inch is a good as a mile". It made me smile to hear y'all say that. Also, I visited the Crater Of Diamonds 8-10 years ago. I did not find anything but someone did find a good one about a week later. They turned the dirt a day or so before the diamond was found. Guess I was a week too soon.
I think we were a week too late. they had graded the area about 1 month before we got there. It was a great experience. We like that saying your Dad said...it's our motto! 😂🤣😎
So fun to be looking for diamonds like looking for gold love watching your adventures every week biz a new adventure for you and everyone thats watching
Hello guys,Thank you for another great video and great laugh, love watching your videos, I look forward every week,David makes me laugh, just be safe and careful, may god bless you .? 💜💜💜💜💜💜🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hi, what headphones do you use. Do they work if there's no cell service ? We're headed to a thousand trails near San Diego & absolutely no cell service. Thank you
It is called Herkimer Diamond Mine. It's in Northern New York. FYI: Upstate New York is any place North of New York City. Northern New York is any place North of Syracuse, NY. My husband and I love to watch your travels. We live in PA near Gettysburg and would like to know if or when you would be coming this way so we could met you nice people?
Hey Karen, that would be great but we left Gettysburg this past Monday. We'll be back...normally we post on our FB Group (Big Truck Big Travels) where we'll be heading. Thanks
Great video. FYI This 552.7 ct yellow diamond (54.5 × 34.9 × 31.8 mm) from the Diavik mine in Canada is by far the largest diamond found to date in North America.
Hello from Central New York. Another great video. I was going to mention Herkimer Diamond Mines but I see it has already been mentioned. There is a KOA right near it. There is also Garnet mines in the Adirondacks. In Albany which is our capital city the state museum is very interesting. They have exhibits on New York City, the World Trade Center and 9/11, The Adirondacks and a lot of New a York stuff. Vermont has Marble Quarries. A lot to see in New York State. We enjoy your travels s lot.
WOW Super Cool, Can't wait to get there.. I don't have the site number in front of me, But I know it was on the right side going in right at the turn.. Hi hi Just so I can back straight in. I know we are not as long as you, but 40 foot of trailer is a long way back there.. Thanks again for the Ride Along..
We really appreciate your time watching the channel and are excited to have you along on the journey. Thanks for being a part of the story and that was site 23. Neat place for sure. We loved the area.
What a nice campground. I had a bit of anxiety wondering what was around the next corner. Love State parks and COEs but many were built when big rigs were - well not so big! Enjoying Magnolia Beach now and then off heading towards Arizona. Travel safe!
Yes, always a bit of anxiety where there's lots of trees! How was Magnolia Beach? We've stayed on Port Aransas Beach. We enjoyed the campground and loved our site. Arizona? Starting to get warm out there...
@@bigtruckbigtravels We loved it. It was great to be able to park about 15' from the water edge. It was too hot and humid which caused a haze all around. Love to come back when it is a bit cooler - and bring my kayak!! Glad we made the stop.
We tried it a few years ago, didn’t find any diamonds but interestingly enough my water filter had small flakes of gold in it. Very pretty campground and trails to hike.
Thanks for another great video! You make a great team with driving and guiding - perfection! Gorgeous park, nice to see the early green of spring. Looking forward to your next blog. (Btw - my name’s Elizabeth ; gmail gave me that silly “Elzabeth”). Safe travels.
Appreciate your comments, Elizabeth... and I'll make note of the Google faux pas! Thank you. It was a really nice park...especially after 3 months in the desert.
Never heard of this park but looks addictive if living close by. Waiting to see your vlog with Switch It Up. Saw clips of you and know we missed you here in GA. We are just north of I-20 near AL. Stay safe as Spring storms are all over. Love watching you 2. BTW, don't recall ever knowing David's occupation. Care to share? Be Blessed
@@bigtruckbigtravels Savannah is beautiful. We are in North Central Georgia, closer to the Tennessee border than Savannah. Well, if y’all happen to go down the 575 or through Ball Ground. Stop by… we have 15 acres you can boondock on.
Thanks, Rose. Finders keepers! Whatever you find is yours. You can report it to them or just stick it in your pocket. Either way it's yours with zero tax implications.
You did, Kathy. Good observation! The huddle schedule coincided with our travel plans so we wanted to check it out...plus give Todd and Sheila any tips on their new SpaceCraft to help them out.
You know your rig is gargantuan when you reckon a tree won't do much damage to it.😂 On the likelihood of finding diamonds or seeing otters, I'd say there's a chance of seeing the otters digging and finding diamonds.😅
You know that your wife loves RVing when she gets excited about a nice dump station. Nice job navigating in tight spaces.
You got that right! Oh... it's the little things in the RV world which get us excited! Thanks, Bill for hanging in there and watching the channel.
The last time I was at Diamond Mine, the road was mud and dirt. You're so lucky they have up graded there is another place that sells stones of sort. I'm going to enjoy watching this video. I live in Oklahoma, so it's somewhere I could drive to. Enjoy !
Thanks, Anita. That campground is very nice. We'd go there just for the camping, never mind the diamond field.
Look whos getting his steps in this morning.
😆 🤣 oh yeah!
But David, you already found your diamond! (That diamond is a pretty good spotter too!)😊
We love watching your videos we always look forward to watching both of you on Thursday evening. Thanks for taking us along for the ride
Very true, Richard... that's enjoy I wasn't overly concerned about finding one! 😉
There are 3 active Diamond Mines in Canada and 1 that has already been shutdown. There are also 100's of potential targets that have been found in the Canadian Arctic. Very cool. Wow! Did not realize that! Appreciate the comments.
New vocation to add to your CV - Miners ⛏
😆 🤣 Thanks, Steve but that would be in name only...I don't think we did true miners justice! Lol 😆
Loved that campground, too. :)
Thanks, Kim. We really enjoyed it. We'd go back and not even go into the mine field!
This just makes me glad I don't have a Big Rig..... cool Video !
Thank you. It's not for everyone... sometimes I wish we had a Transformer rig which gets shorter! But we've always been able to get to where we want to go.
Another showing David’s amazing driving skills and Sondra’s fantastic guiding. Great teamwork!
Teamwork is key in this lifestyle. No doubt about it. Thank you
That was a beautiful campground!! We'll be in Montana the end of June and we're thinking of trying our luck at digging for sapphires. Never done it before looks like fun. Hope you had fun with the grandkids. 💜
Have fun, Carol. Always great to see the grandchildren! Good luck on your dig.
Very interesting watching you guys work together to get through the culdesac!
Thanks, Chris. Definitely teamwork on making that turn.
Great video! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching, Marcy!
Wow! That’s some teamwork on navigating that corner!! Digging for diamonds seems fun but also a lot of work! Another great video! 😎
Glad you enjoyed it, Sandraim, definitely more work than expected but fun experience.
Another cool video! Thank you!
Glad you liked it! Appreciate you taking the time to watch the channel.
Crater of Diamonds is semi local for us. We stay at the state park often. Spot 35 is our spot.
Nice. Beautiful area and park.

I’m from central Ar and the town is Heber Springs Ar. Ar is a pretty state in the northern part. Happy travels and hope you find a diamond.
Been to Heber Springs and love the area.
Thank you. Love the northern part of Arkansas. We had great weather.
David the DJ, The Wolfman Jack of the RV World! Rock!
Oh yeah! Rock on!
Trees! Now that’s my cup of tea❤ Az. Desert Girl for 60 years and over it.
They were a welcome sight for certain.
You need to camp in the Smokey Mountains between Asheville and Chattanooga along US 74 and 64. Beautiful. Best time to visit is spring and fall.
Sounds great! We've camped near Fontana Dam and the Nantahela area as well. Love that area of the Smokey Mtns. Thanks
I saw some very familiar scenery as you were in my part of the world. How neat that you went to school in Arkansas. You say “Murfreesboro” very well! Just like a local. 😁
I had a lot of practice! Loved Fayetteville. Go hogs! Thanks for watching
Looking for diamonds was not for us. Hope you went crystal hunting, that was fun!
Maybe next time, diamonds were the only activity we did this time. Thanks for the comment.
That thimble-full of precious minerals you 'amassed' mightn't even be worth a Church's nugget or a single Whataburger pattie. Beautiful site. ❤😊
Yes it was! Thanks, Destiny.
I agree with David, there’s nothing like the smell of bacon when you’re camping. That was a great RV site! Thanks for the video. Stay safe!
You got that right, Scott! That is probably the best smell...and most cruel thing to do while camping...especially if I can't get any!

Our pleasure! Thank you for watching the channel. We're excited to be able to share our experiences.
Ready Set Go!
Oh... we're going, Shelley! 😆 🤣
I went digging for "diamonds'" at Herkimer, New York State! Herkimer Diamonds!!! So fun!
Oh kay...Bryan, that is great. Didn't know NY had that site. Thanks
Happy vacations ❤❤❤❤
🤗 Thanks!
Y’all sure find some nice places to camp!!
We do get around, Gregory. This was kind of a lucky find. Thanks
That’s a beautiful campground. We will add it to our list.
Thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure! It was really nice... I'm thinking in the summer it would be hot and buggy.
You two are a hoot! Always fun to watch your videos. Stay safe
🦉
Thanks, you too, Phil! Glad you enjoyed it.
I went there! It was fun! I needed more time! I’m going back soon!!!🥰
You go! It was fun... but for us, once was enough.
I love traveling in my 17' Carado Axion so find your size challenges distracting but your humor and teamwork makes it all very pleasant.
You're definitely more flexible in that setup. But this is our home which we're hoping to travel this way for another 20 years or so.
Great video that looked like a lot of fun and your camping site looked real relaxing.
Good luck and God Bless your continued trip, I’ll be looking forward to your next video!
Appreciate that, Paul. Our camp site was amazing with spectacular weather too!
Another great adventure. Thanks for the video.
We really appreciate your time watching the channel and are excited to have you along on the journey and enjoy your comments.
Loved it. One of my favorite videos. Good to see the trees and the country east.
Thanks, Janice. It was good for us since we had just come back from 3 months in the desert, while beautiful is still not a lot of big trees and green.
Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it.
Another fun video! Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Glad you enjoyed it! We really appreciate your time watching the channel and are excited to have you along on the journey.
I can't believe you passed on telling us how "GREAT" the fire ring grate was. Must be getting Presidential.
I know... I'm ashamed at missing that one but I was focused on the fire. Next time!
That was pretty cool you guys! Totally different setting but really neat. Thanks for the ride!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like a fun place to stay. Always good to have an activity to do.
Yes indeed! It was a great experience. Really enjoyed it. Thanks
boy you two are great together great job you two impressive directing
Thanks, Dale. It helps to be a team in those tight situations!
very pretty place to park thankyou for sharing
Thank you too, Dale. Lots of fun.
How are you and your family? I leave in the Chattanooga Tennessee area and I know about the tornado that touched down in the Huntsville Alabama area. Just wanted to check on everybody and pray that they are all right.

I am fine and my family and friends too. Thank God!

David, you made the drive through the state park and the back in look easy. Great video!
Thanks 👍Willard. The roads set up nicely and the campsite was great.
if you happen to come food at Texarkana Texas or Arkansas side be prepared the Whataburger are undergoing remodeling and it's drive-thru only
Uh oh! Good to know, Thomas. Thank you. 😃
Sometime you might check out Devils Den State Park in AR in the fall. Beautiful area. Also, when guiding, I have seen the pros use the terms “driver” and “passenger” to indicate which way to turn the wheel to avoid confusion.
Thanks. I graduated from Fayetteville a "few" years ago. Devils Den is a cool area. 😎
Imagine you turn the corner and there’s road block with towns people holding torches saying you have to turn back for mispronouncing their town 😂😂
It is funny when locals expect everyone to know how to pronounce their weirdly pronounced city name.😁
It’s just rude! 😝😳🤣
😆 🤣 you know...I was mildly concerned about that...just sayin'.

Glad you had a good experience, Joey. I've always had a good meal at Whataburger and the people are usually very friendly.
What a pleasant spot even if you didn't find any diamonds! I've never been to Arkansas, it's very pretty down there.
It's really nice, Carol but of course, the weather was ideal so it's easy to enjoy it. The campground was a very pleasant surprise. 😊
Your videos are great. And thank you for doing it and taking the time.
Glad you like them! Thank you. We enjoy sharing our experiences with everyone.

I don't care if you found a diamond or not. You spent the day digging for one. You deserve a shirt.
There is something to what you say, Adrian. But even with all the digging we didn't feel like we earned a shirt. Besides... we have a ton of them! 😆 🤣
Been there done that! Now you will have to go to the sapphire mine in Franklin NC, just west of Asheville.
We've been to Asheville... but usually it's to Biltmore. Thanks 😄

Be Blessed
Be safe with those storms, Karen! We enjoyed the huddle and Savannah was fun. Cool city. See you next week. Oh, I was in Logistics as an occupation.
Beautiful camp site. Sorry you did not find that valuable diamond…. lol But you did get the stamp, did you buy the shirt?
Hey, Melinda. Nope. No shirt...we didn't "earn" it. Maybe next time...hmmm...next time in the campground that is!
You need a flyrod to catch some trout.
True...but then I'd have to clean them! 🤣😂😎
Love watching y’alls adventures… will y’all be coming through Georgia?
Only to get to Savannah. Then back north to PA.
@@bigtruckbigtravels Savannah is beautiful. We are in North Central Georgia, closer to the Tennessee border than Savannah. Well, if y’all happen to go down the 575 or through Ball Ground. Stop by… we have 15 acres you can boondock on.
And in May you be picking up trash along Hwy 17 in S.C.....lol I can see your future!
Lol 😆 😆 You're a psychic!
Thanks for another great vlog that diamond hunting looks brilliant but if you find one do you get to keep it or do they give you something else .
Thanks, Rose. Finders keepers! Whatever you find is yours. You can report it to them or just stick it in your pocket. Either way it's yours with zero tax implications.
@@bigtruckbigtravels nice
How many diamonds you need David? You already have one as your co-pilot!!
😂😎That's why I wasn't worried about finding any!
Did I see you guys at a switch it up rally?
You did, Kathy. Good observation! The huddle schedule coincided with our travel plans so we wanted to check it out...plus give Todd and Sheila any tips on their new SpaceCraft to help them out.
You know your rig is gargantuan when you reckon a tree won't do much damage to it.😂
On the likelihood of finding diamonds or seeing otters, I'd say there's a chance of seeing the otters digging and finding diamonds.😅
😆 🤣 😂 sad but true! 😆
Looks like they were rear ended and the air bags went off!
Oh my! Not good. Good thing ours didn't deploy.
"How do you get it down?" Really? You should have answered "We use extra strength helium in tires so we can just lift it up there". :)
😆 🤣 I like that, Todd! Thanks
