I love Japanese albums! To my ears, this language is very emotive and some of BTS songs sound more emotional (especially when songs are sad in the first place) when sung in Japanese. Also, I spend so many hours analyzing details in Japanese MVs to get a better understanding of BU - they are so detailed and hide a lot :)

Tbh i love BTS original japanese songs, but pass on translated korean ones, cause they don't flow organically to my ear. I never was a fan of translated songs to begin with, like musicals they would adapt in different languages, always original is best, cause lyrics and sound of words go with music together and different language just doesn't have same rythm + meaning can change drastically in order to make it flow
These MVs are part of the storyline as well, they’ve got lots of references! Compare them to the original Run and I Need U music videos and you’ll notice similarities like Namjin and the gas station, the lollipop, Jin alone by a big window, the shattered mirror, as well as the obvious ones like Jimin in the water, the lily petals etc as well as foreshadowing of the Wings content in the Run Japanese video! (remember RM in the phone box…)
