Yeah, I noticed UA-cam running a little laggy while using Edge, like sound syncing up with video and typing in the search bar, the text being delayed for an extra second or two. Haven't had the fan come on with my i5 256GB version though. Hope, more software updates will make the experience a little more smoother! Love the design, look, and feel to the device though!

I’m loving mine! Haven’t heard the fan yet or noticed any bugs. But I immediately downloaded Chrome! I have to say for me, the best part is the battery life. My MacBook Pro (2017) space grey, i7, 16GB RAM dies within 2-3 hours of not been charged. I’ve been working all day today and I’m still on 61%!
Good review. The Surface Laptop is a basic general use device. I prefer the Surface Pro i7, 16GB 512 over the laptop. For real performance, the Surface Book 2 will probably be the better option for you...but no black :-(
txmoney yes that does have a gpu. This laptop was 2200 and I hate to spend even more when others on the market are less. For me, I just don’t like the hinge and the thickness of the pro. I’m into looks - I know lame.

I want to get the laptop2 in this color with the 16gb and 512 version. I don’t care necessarily about a graphics card. I’m going to be doing coding and stuff so I mean, this would be okay right?
Tanner Barcelos yes just keep in mind the battery will not last anywhere near 14 hours. I’m guessing it will be closer to 6 or 7. The color is nice but a few days with it, I’m going a little nuts. The color shows allot of finger prints. Didn’t notice this on the green one.
@@MattTube Mine lasts for 10 hours of watching videos surfing the net, plus editing photos and videos. If your last for 6-7 hours you should return it imo.
Nikhil Chandra for premiere pro and after effects you may want a system with a gpu. This system does not have a gpu. It would work fine for photoshop or illustrator.

You could hold up a thin t-shirt, or strap a pantyhose around a coat hanger for a home-made and cheap solution, though pop filters are already cheap. FYI, my Surface Pro 3 was noisy before but they fixed it with an update.

Then you have a defected unit, but I really don't want that is the case there is a very strong magnet on the front, to keep the laptop shut. and another one on the side of the screen. When the laptop is open put the pen on the left hand side of the screen it should almost snatch it out of your hand.
I feel like Microsoft doesn’t even advertise this laptop knowing that it’s shit that’s why there is less reviews bc they don’t send it out knowing theres something wrong with it!!

i got the same specs you ordered. been using it for 1 day and it runs very smooth and i havent heard the fan once! :)

The i5 does last longer then the i7.
The Surface Laptop 2 is a fantastic device, but if editing videos is something you do a lot of, the Surface Book 2 is what you want.

The performance and heat issues may be due to it updating when you were using it. I noticed the same thing with my XPS 9370 i5 on the first day.

Dude. The voiceover at about 3.30. You need low cut at like 50Hz, and most of all, a pop filter for your mic.

I just want to clarify the heat and fan issues seem to be related only to the i7 (upgraded) system.
I'm supposed to get my i7 version tomorrow. Will post my findings re fan noise and heat
