I've never been a fan of the "peel regular cardboard" suggestion, because, as you said, it's a huge pain and it's also hard to get grooves that are the right size! This stuff is great for making shanties, especially for Ork players.
Some hobby shops sell corrugated plastic sheets that are intended for use in terrain and basing. I've also seen cobblestone, brick, and clay roofing tile textures available as plastic sheets.
I do scrapbooking too and there is a handy little mashine that does corrugated paper for you by rolling paper trough it, the bad thing is it only does set width of paper but you can do how much you want with it. And i think I paid about 5 pounds for mine, here in sweden. but there is alot of nifty things for terrain in the scrapbooksection.
nice, simple and effective, i got all my corrugated card what i used for my necroplaza building from a card making shop you pay £3 for a A5 box and just fill it up with what ever you want then pay or you can get a £5 A4 best bit was the ones for card making dose not have the backing paper on, i have in the past seen some one spray WD40 on to the card and poor resin on it to make roofs for buildings he put Plasticine around the edge poored it in and 20 mins later pulled it off and had a corrugated roof
I found my corrugated stock in light bulb packaging. Unfortunately, that seems to be being phased out with the incandescent light bulbs. But yes, I too have been searching for a source that does not have the backing paper. As for now, it appears I will have to continue doing the "fiddly dance", but such is the fun of scratch building, eh?
looks great! I don't know where to get it without the backing, but you can get what you bought for free from Starbucks, just grab a load of the things you put your cup in to stop your hand from being burnt :)
Time for a trip to starbucks, can't stand their coffee but I'll happily take their holders and stirers, hell, I might have a coffee while I'm there lol. Cheers matey
Yea I must say pizza is a rarity fo4 me but p3rfect excuse to do a terrain session with a club, few pizzas for food and then got boxes to use too. Some cakes etc now even come with this style of cardboard (1 side exposed) now too
I was going to say "where can I get this?" and then the answer is there. To Starbucks! I used to just peal off one side of cardboard when i was younger.
You are fined one half credit for a violation of the verbal morality act. You are fined 5 credits for a violation of the DMG catch phrase copyright act. You are fined one tenth of one credit for a violation of the international corrugated cardboard cutting convention. You are fine one credit for a violation of the international ban on silly french accents. Other than that... cool! ;)
You can deduct it from the fine of 10,000 credits that has been awarded against you for converting my son from the glorious path of hirst arts castings and pva to the heretical path of the glue gun and corrugated cardboard. Seriously made, he doesn't wan to cast blocks for our dungeon now he's seen your bloody videos! I hate you for stealing my first born and unpaid casting labour from me and one day, I will have my revenge, on this I swear. It will be the hobby version of the viking blood eagle! Other than that, cheers mate :o)

+Curran Egan Yep, got tonnes of the stuff, it's pretty handy but the card is cheaper and easier to work with

You can get a small machine in the hobbie shop or the Works to corrugate card in the card making section

No worries matey
Clever idea, I like it.

I did a vid on this a week or two ago too. I'd recommend pizza box carboard too as that peals off very easily
I'll check it out mate, don't really eat pizza, more a cheese on toast person ;o)

Love that idea for a terrain session mate, going to have to give that a go
It's a brilliant idea for clubs, best done the day before recycling is picked up. Ideal if you need new terrain for a campaign too
Like it mate
Ever thought of using the side of a can? lots of them are corrugated. Or is the scale not right? Dave
Scales right, I just always cut myself

Nice, I use the cardboard thing that you get from Starbucks.
A few people have said the same mate, I'm going to have to investigate this new source of free terrain stuff ;oD

I need to find my nearest starbucks!

Why not just use a paper crimper...

Pfft, casting is the easy way to craft.. Real Crafters use glue, cardboard and foamboard. :P
