- I gave my friend a £500 gift as a symbol of my appreciation for helping out with my UA-cam Channel Land Rover Drive. And I would give much more if I could.
I don't make much on UA-cam but after seeing the hard work that Erik put down the weekend of Off-Roading in Elvedalen I wanted to give him something to show my appreciation.
After a great weekend we enjoy our last morning together in perfect weather with a big and nice breakfast and of course a morning coffee to go. 👍😊
Thank you Erik for all you help and I can't wait to go on a trip with you again!
Best,
Simon

Friends that can both give and accept so comfortably are priceless. Keep on trucking boys.
Thanks man and we will. We are already planning for more good stuff for the channel. 👍😊 Cars, trips and more fun.
Good friends are priceless treasure. I originally thought that Eric was a partner in land Rover Drive.
Yeah they really are and Erik is one of the best! 😊 And I can understand why you would think that. Erik has been a big supporter and helped out a lot and I hope for the future that we could work together, it being making videos or fixing up cars. 😊 For now it's me doing 99% of the work and others helping out on the trips. There wouldn't be a channel without my friends and family so I wan't them all to know that I appreciate the help! 👍 Simon
Having watched you for a number of years I've often thought of your great friendship and the effort put into LandRover Drive. Thank you!
Thank you Richard! Really appreciate the support over the years and we will keep on putting in the effort! 👍😊
A nice gesture like that is always appreciated
It really is and if you can do something, how ever small, a nice gesture to friends and family are a good way to pay it forward. 😊 Simon
Thank you for watching!! If it wasn't for YOU this wouldn't have been possible! 🤙😊 And thank you Erik for all your help so far and for being a great friend! 👍😊 I can't wait for our next adventure. 🏔🇳🇴🚗
So thoughtful to gift a friend
Thank you! 😊 Good friends are so important. 👍
Great friendship 😊
Yeah it really is, and has been since we first met back in 2014. What I would call instant friendship. 👍😊
Such an amazing gift as a token of your appreciation to Eric you are both clearly great friends and this series was really nice to watch. I am now looking forward to seeing Eric's build take shape 😁👍
Thank you Simon and so glad you enjoyed the series. 👍 Great friends are important, even the ones far away in Scotland. 😉 I will have to go down to Erik at some point and do a follow up on the Range Rover Classic and hopefully I will get to buy my own so we can finally make that RRC Overlanding in Norway Series. 👌
@@LandRoverDrive I'll happily film that for free too 👍😁
I need a friend like ERiC!
We all need a friend like Erik. 👍 Important to surround your self with people that give back, not only take what you have to give. 😊
Great friendship you have and great to see you both are enthusiastic about off roading and also LR and a wonderful gesture. I like the fact you both actually use/fix these vehicles for the sole purpose rather than the school run like most people do. It's funny how Erik's LR is so old but still can tell its a LR after all this time and I think thats the beauty of LR/RR they will be all timeless classics. Say a big thank you to Erik from me.
Erik is one here and answering comments so he will be here in time. He has a little boss in the house now so he tends to be on hear really early or late. 😊 I'm really thankful for our great friendship and we really do love working and playing with our land rovers. I don't think this will ever change. Really glad that it comes across the screen, we do our best to keep it positive, fun and entertaining. 👍 The Classic is awesome and when you think of that he rebuilt it him self it is even more so. 👍 Thank for the great comment! Simon
Thanks for the effort you and Erik have put in Simon. Your videos are excellent and require a lot of effort for a small reward. The gesture is a nice one and hope you can move your channel to the next level. PS just returned from Norway on a camping/motorcycle trip Lysebotn Fjorde was a motorcycling magical experience 👍
Thank you so much, it means a lot to get comments like this. 😊 I have so much creative ideas and stuff I want to do on the channel so hopefully in time I can put it into life. 🤞 I haven’t been to Lysebotn yet but I have seen pictures and I can only imagine the fun it would be on a bike. Narrow winding roads, hopefully in good weather, must have been amazing. 👍
@LandRoverDrive Travelling in a Motorhome towing a motorcycle in Europe is a very different experience to travelling 10,s of thousands of KM's across Southern Africa in a Disco2 & 3 with a Howling Moon rooftop tent. However its just a different enjoyable experience. Severely miss my D3 (owned 3) but can enjoy your channel and LR Time which gives me my fix.
I can't even imagine doing that! You've more traveled then I think I will ever be. 👍😊 I bet you got some great stories! The great thing for me is that I have something to reach for, world travel is on the list but in the far future when the kids has moved out. 😅 For now I will do my best to keep the videos coming so you'll get your fix of both D3 and Overlanding in Norway. 🏔️🚗
you guys need to collaborate together
Yeah, I would love that we can do more videos together. And get others to to join in as well, more fun with more crazy car people gathered together. 😊
I like your enthusiasm. Også liker jeg å høre norsk av og til.
Thanks man and some Norwegian will always be on the channel. 😊
That was a very nice gesture you made to Erik. I look forward to the next trip you are able to go on. I reckon you would make a decent bit of cash selling merch, whether it is stickers, mugs, clothing etc. Count me in for a couple of each if it was viable for you to make merch.
Thank you! 😊 We both are looking forward to the next one now and have started planning. 😉 I have been looking into merch and will have to set up a store. I don’t want to sell crap so that has been holding me back. But everyone needs t-shirts. What would you like to see in a potential store? 🤓
@@LandRoverDrive I've always liked the hoodies that I see you wear, and the T-shirts. I would think stickers, enamel mugs for camping and possibly water bottles would do well also.
Thanks for the input, the hoodies are good but have had some issue with the print fading so thinking braiding. I would like it to last a long time. 😊 Thanks again, will look into it and set up a store. Been talking about it for years so need to get it done. 😅
@@LandRoverDrive Yes braiding would guarantee a long lasting finish. Put me down as your first customer.
Thought Eric was meant to be buying a discovery 3 last year? What happened to that?
He was considering a lot of options, and I think he still is. I just know he wants to start some work on the Range Rover and get it sorted. 😊
@@LandRoverDrive Aaah! Fair enough... Thanks for replying though...
No worries mate. Glad you are still watching the channel! 👍
@@LandRoverDrive Of course...
