- I travel through seasons in Norway and Sweden in my Land Rover Discovery 3 and on this trip you will get to see the impact the changing seasons has on Scandinavia.
The seasons changes the what you will get to see and experience in an amazing way, so much so that Scandinavia will never be boring for people exploring the north land. Every season has it's own wonders.
The best time to travel to Scandinavia is therefor in the season you have not yet visited in. Be it the coldest month of January and February or the warmest of July and August.
Personally Spring and autumn is my favourite time of the year, it is when you will get the most out of your travel here as there is so much contrast, from the blue water of the fjords to the green mountains with white snowy tops. And autumn colours is a must see. 👌
So get your rig ready, be it a car, overland rig, tourer or van, it doesn't really matter. Just pack for all weather conditions and start your seasonal drive against the most northern part of mainland Europe.
No matter the country you'll take on your way to the north cape, the adventure will be amazing. Of course Norway will give you the best views, but inland Sweden will feel much more remote. Each has it's own charm, and if you are really lucky you get to see the northern lights. 😉

Thank you! The Idea came after the fact actually. Rewatching my footage I had actually thought of it during the drive up during the summer, and it fitted surprisingly well with the drive down during the fall. 😊 Some clips just lined up perfectly, had to laugh when the clip and the audio matched up as we passed the Northland gate on our way down. Border crossing was also a nice match. 😊 Thank for watching!

The north is always special, whether it's kaamos (Finnish for the polar night) or the midnight sun.
Very true, something special indeed. Kaamos, I will try to remember that. 😊 I always get a good feeling when I head north, maybe the northerner in me I don’t know, it just feels right. 🏔️❄️🚗
Wow amazing. It must have taken you ages to splice all that footage together but well worth the effort as the result is fantastic. I drove some of that from Sweden to Norway when we met up and I would love to do it again but in the winter this time. Whilst there was some snow around, and indeed the Trollstigen was closed due to avalanche 😮 the roads were mostly all clear. I hope to return in maybe 2025 as I already have plans for overland trips for 2024. Your family trips will create lasting memories for you all and we are so privileged to be able to share them with you through your channel 👍😎😁 edit... I also play the fuel game but only down to the last quarter of a tank and not down to the flashing light 😮😂

Let's just agree to it being time well spent. 😂 Winter is a great time to visit, after the 15th of February I would suggest, as the daylight November and February is very few hours. 😉 I will not down 2025 so we can link up hopefully. I have my 40 year old trip planned for that year, not sure which car it will be in yet, but probably something old and Land Rover so a support truck would be great. 😂 I'm very happy that I can contribute to the family in a way that I know and are getting kind of good at, and hopefully the kids will appreciate it in the future when they can look back at all the videos. 👍 Fuel game is fun and I have once rolled in at the gas station as it ran out of fuel, back in 2007 in my Subaru WRX. 😅 So been playing a long time. Great idea for a video! We love revisiting a place in different seasons. We're lucky enough to borrow a cabin just outside Hemsedal and for years we'd go with the kids in the summertime, so different from the wintertime and yet the same! I couldn't choose a favourite, each gives different things 🙂
Always playing the fuel game! No one has been able to tell me why fuel is up to 5kr/ltr cheaper on certain days... (here in Asker it's a bit cheaper on Wed. evening and cheaper still on Sun. evening with Mon. morning the cheapest of all! Weird.).

Thank you for that, the idea came after the fact. I filmed up in the summer and didn’t film the return, the I didn’t film the drive up during fall but did film the return trip. Put some winter into the mix and tada.. We have driven the road so many times but each season brings it’s own type of magic to it so I’m like you, can’t really choose because I want all the seasons. 😊
You, like us, are lucky that we can experience it and having a cabin to go to is very lucky. 😊 Can enjoy the season in a whole different way. Away from the daily life and stress. 🏔️👌
I’m not really sure there is anyone that really knows. You would think it was the crud oil prices that affected the market but when I check I could get it to March up. Early Wednesday seems to be a good time her in Trondheim area. 😊 From 18.99 to 25.45 last Wednesday. 🫣

Summer the greenery is beautiful... But I am from Australia and everything here is dry.. And your winters look.... Cold
Yeah, can understand that, you would be amazed if you came here to visit. After 2-3 weeks in eastern Spain, also very dry, then coming back home I still get surprised. 😊 The winters are cold, and dark, but on the nice sunny days it is really magical, and the seasonal changes makes every season a new experience, so never boring. But I definitely miss some warm days during winter. 😊 Where in Australia?
Watching this at 6:50 and man, from the very beginning, it's sooooo beautiful and relaxing, with the added music, it makes a perfect vlog. Also i do apologise for not having had the time to catch up with your vlogs but as i've moved to France to work and hopefully have a better life than in Mauritius, time has been limited, as living at brother's as well...
