Haven't been personally affected by this but wanna engage to push these videos closer to the forefront. It's absurd the way blizzard seems to try their hardest to ignore this. I hope blizz is actually gonna put in the effort to actually get this bogus sorted out.
My husband and I lost 7 tabs and 18 yrs worth of transmogs, mats, a lot of items that are unobtainable now and it's infuriating that they just won't do anything about ppl's lost stuff. It makes me wonder if anything I've taken time to collect is safe from being lost.
I have had blizzard close multiple tickets on me about this issue. I'm just asking for some resolution, for the items that I attained through purchasing tokens with real money at least. But blizzard refuses to even do anything about that.
The warfuel came originally from a Mountain Dew promotion. It's used with a particular robot pet. Several years ago they made the Pet and the Fuel available in game with the wondering toy vendors in ORG and SW. They also changed the fuel icon. So you can get some more if you want it, but not a bad idea to hold on to a stack or 2 just in case.
I completely understand your frustration regarding the lost items, and I agree that it's a terrible situation that shouldn't have happened in the first place. That said, I don’t believe Blizzard is ignoring the issue. With the vast number of players and the countless items involved, it’s important to consider the scale of the problem. Restoring lost items across the game will likely take them a significant amount of time. these kinds of problems are rarely straightforward. Programming issues, particularly with the game's systems are often more challenging to fix than they appear on the surface. It’s likely they are working hard behind the scenes to find a solution that ensures the issue doesn’thappen again, while also doing their best to restore what’s already been lost. At least, that's my personal opinion on the matter.
I find it strange that Bellular (among other content creators) has not talked about this in general, with or without your tweet. Has he even mentioned it? I might have missed it.
Blizzard are not a benevolent company who cares about you, they are a profit driven business, they literally do not care about the items you have lost. The only thing they care about is profits and they have obviously decided it is not profitable for them (probably in the time needed to go through the accounts where items were lost and manually restore for all). The other thing they care about is obviously bad reviews/press, the forums are not a great place to put your complaint, as it's in-house for Blizzard and I would say that the amount of players who actively use the forums is miniscule compared to the amount of players actually playing. As you have said no responses from Twitter and other (forgive me being blunt) larger and well known you tube content creators, is not a good sign. What I would suggest is people who have been affected to make an account on Metacritic (or any similar independent gaming review sites) and all start posting there with a negative review explaining what has happened, if enough people do this then the game score will obviously decline, and this I believe may have a better impact, as it's a narrative Blizzard cannot control/minimise/ignore.
You STILL cannot trust Blizz with your stuff. Around 11:00pm EST 10/22/2024 I found 2 stacks @ 250ea Pet Bandages gone from my Warbank. I know they are missing because I now take screen shots of my Warbank tabs before I log off every day. It was tab 1, vertical row 1 spots 3 & 4 if that matters.
I am glad after seeing all this that I got rid of my bank alt. I just sold it all off. Luckily my void storage was all good. It sucks y'all are going through this.
For your plain letters, it might be useful to transcribe them to notepad or word, something that you can save elsewhere so you don't lose them again. I hate for you that you lost all those other letters, but hopefully moving forward you can save new ones. 😊
I feel like if they could have restored the banks they would have by now, they need to at least explain why it’s not possible to those affected. (It’s also not theft as you can’t actually own anything in a video game, so would be careful about the terminology used)
@@kurnmogh Nope no luck, I think youtube sees the content as bot behaviour. I noticed you mentioned Ion and wanted to say: he is not active on twitter and then proceeded to give you a list of Blizzard employees that were relevant to our issue. People in higher up positions, PR, Marketing, Devs, server technicians,... pretty much people who have access to the systems or the people that have some influence in the company. I tried a few, I just got ignored but I had quite a few more to go through... I just lost the energy for it. Thought maybe it would have been useful for others to try and get some support. Its rather easy to find these people once you look who the big chiefs are following. If you want more twitter contacts maybe I can send it elsewhere. For the rest, thanks for putting the time and effort into these. I'm losing steam so I don't know how long I'll keep going at it. The European forums are getting less and less active and I've alreayd been there in the past with a losing battle to Blizzard (low pop servers). We kept that battle for years but in the end we're still stuck on low pop servers and the thread got closed due to inactivity.
The ‘gold drop rate’ has been reduced to 10% or less of last expansion, repair are up to double. This converts the game into one where you must buy WoW tokens to even play (repair gear), on top of the regular subscription. In this setting, the refusal to compensate for the guild bank losses, and the almost complete silence on the matter, is even more suspect. The orders are coming from high up in the company.
Why keep playing a game that pretends to be DEI, remasters games horribly while removing many things from the OG, promises things in their updates and just scraps it all together and STEALS YOUR STUFF?
I dont think its the guild bank mats being available for crafting orders - its the warband bank
Oh shoot, did I misspeak? It definitely IS the warband bank! Thanks for pointing it out!
@@kurnmogh 5:43 I think you said it. Just glad I dont have to worry about peeps using guild items for crafts >.
I admire the fact that you won't give up, you're right
Same for me.

I did a screen shot for each page and took a video mousing over each item to prove what each item was. I don't trust Blizzard at all.
Whole shit situation is WILD. 15/month, small indie comp…
😬🤯
Thanks for the patch reminder! Time to go take some updated screenshots!
They don't CARE, my guild bank lost all also.
That is MONEY that they stole.
This problem didnt affect me. But i just love these videos chronicling the heist. 😅
Thanks for the update. I hope everything goes well today!

Btw when my guild bank was stripped I lost all my guild rep...and I'm the guild leader. 😡
My guild bank was 100% empty, noting in the logs all gone.

I'll be shocked if i get anything back at this point. :(

That may be all well and good. But keeping everyone in the dark is not okay.

I am still to scared to check my 6 guild banks.
Hsve they said they're continuing to look into it or do they consider the case closed?

If it's not theft then neither is software piracy.
Think my comment isn't showing up, probably youtube filtering it out. Edit: yup, as this one is showing... Urgh.
Very odd. No luck still? I see nothing held for review.

No one “stole” anything. There is a reason for this happening and a good one. You are just out of the loop
