@@swampitoffroad7753 there's a guy, Plectrumz Adventures, who rode from Switzerland to Norway on a 50cc sportbike. It doesn't matter how weak your bike is, the only thing that matters is your determination to get there.
Videos like this inspired me to do the same in Cambodia... My delight when I saw one for sale. People called me silly, but what an adventure through mountain, mud and dirt. Ahahhaaha.. Legendary little bike.
I've watched these series twice now. My last road trip was 6800 miles from hot to cold weather. Fayetteville NC to Tadoussac Canada then South Dakota back to NC. Unforgettable memories! Thanks for your videos.
@@AKAxeMan I live in southern California. I just bought a Razkull for 2800, they had from for 3000 but they sold the last one they had. All that was left was the Razkulls.
You doods have some TESTICULOS, man. In 40 years I've ridden cross-country a few times.. but ALWAYS on 1000cc+ bikes. That rainy segment under the bridge, semis roaring by dragging water.. I laughed. How many times have I BEEN there? ** GROMS, man... I need one!
I grew up in the country, there was a bridge next to my house, underneath it was a bunch of rocks that we moved to make a little fort. It was a really cool little hang out spot. Good times
I'm so glad you guys made it man. I have to admit I had worries about truckers that had been up for like 36 hours straight and groms on the interstate. I have really enjoyed watching this series of videos. Next time your in Las Vegas let me know and I'll come up with an extra bike for you to ride. -- The Guy with the Crusty Bobber, and his GF that dropped her new Indian Scout in front of everyone.
Anyone who knocks a 125..hasnt got a fuggin clue how much fun these bikes are. I've been the proud owner of a Motrac 125 M5 for 3 years now and don't plan on selling any time soon. Great job guys!
What a great series!! Enjoyed it, nice seeing these little machines make the distance and yet make it look like so much fun. Can’t wait to see what’s in store next.
More power to these guys! They did ride Groms across America, and a Grom is too weak for some things. I recently sold my much beloved Honda Helix 250, which would comfortably make it across America because it's too weak for the mountainous area I live in. 450 class is much better, like a Burgman 400, for going over mountains. A 650cc twin, like SV650 or Ninja 650, for playing on mountain roads. And a 750 four cylinder to get you coast to coast. You could go bigger, but I doubt that you'll get there sooner. 500lbs is my limit for fun and practical to ride and wrestle.
Just found yer channel from checking out the Florida Moto Meet flyer. Cool video, how typical is it that Florida thunderstorms drove you underneath an overpass for the first time LoL 😆 Hello from the Daytona area
I have no idea how you did this on Groms. I am the small engine motorcycle touring warrior, let me tell you. I purposely purchased a 50cc moped with a mini trail engine so I could mount a 150cc engine on. I ride on the interstate, I go everywhere. So I can pretty much be the authority here on the matter. With that said, the way you sit on the Grom, I just don't see how you could do it. I never owned a Grom but rode several and it just seems uncomfortable for touring. So the fact that you ignored the pain in your knees and your back and made it happen give me a lot of respect for you. I may ride a few states away and stay then ride back but there is no way I would ride a Grom across the country. So my hats off to you on that. You are my heroes.
Wait! What would you do if AirBNB has a video doorbell? Sneak in the back? 🤪 Glad to see you guys made it through the storm safely! Thanks for sharing the comical & incredible adventure, can’t wait to see how you top this next summer ha!!
Nice ride we done this on scooters from Florida to Washington st AMT 50 100cc big bore 150cc carb and a Street Legal Baja Warrior 200cc torque converter belt drive runs 65 70
This is why I would have a poncho tent or a one man tent. Camp out under the bridge. That way you’re dry and can change into fresh clothes and sleep if needed
Did 2500kms myself on my 2014 going through BC mountains to Vancouver. Would I do it again? I wouldn't hesitate! I love Groms. I got compliments and interest even from the big bad Harley guys. It's about having fun 👍
I have to ask, can you point me to the mods to get my Gromm up to the 60’s mph? I want to tour with my 2017…. But Hwy speeds have been about 53 to 56 on mine! Thanks!
It's 125cc motor so it's going to be more of a factor of wind, elevation, your weight. These bikes were completely stocked. On the west coast we were stuck in the 50s as we got back to Florida where it's flat and wind was on our side we hit the limiter at 73 a few times drafting trucks.
Is there an aftermarket solo seat touring cargo bags and rack availabl;e for the Honda Grom? I want the Honda Grom for a local commuter but I want it comfortable enough I can ride it across country like you guys did.
Sometime when you guys are well rested can you do a details in your helmet setup for the trip? I’m curious about all the extra crap stuck to the sides. I just got the Sena Momentum Lite on your recommendation dude! Love it!!
Were you guys running higher gear ratios on your sprockets to get 69mph on that trip? I can only get about 59mph on my Z125 with stock gearing and I'm 6' 230lbs What was your average speed with your backpacks and extra weight on that trip I'm asking because I'm thinking about making a trip using secondary roads from Tampa Bay to Missouri
stock everything. It's all about elevation and wind direction. If the wind is at your back and you're on flat ground with a draft you'll hit rev limiter 73mph or at least high 60s easily. If you're going uphill in new Mexico where the elevation is high going into the wind you'll max out at 32mph. I'd say we averaged low to mid 60s when full throttle.

I mean. Someone could WALK coast to coast if they wanted.. but that doesn’t mean walking isn’t a weak motorcycle

Alaska: Ice Road Grommers ^^
So 4000 miles at 125 mpg, that means you made the trip on about 32 gallons of gas. Not bad.

So somewhere around $100 bucks for fuel to cross the country..... okay, THAT is the most awesome thing I’ve heard in a long time!
