I run the Slosh Fab kit with a 464 and love it, but I also was missing an exhaust gasket with my kit when I received mine. I also was missing a clamp, but Jake was great and made sure to get me the right ones asap. Overall I was happy.
Thanks for all your videos and info. I have a 2018 Ram 2500 and just moved here to OKC (Guthrie) and look forward to working/upgrading my truck with the knowledge I’m gaining from all your videos.
Thanks for in fo so sounds like I’ll be getting a WC Fab kit for 05 dullay 5.9 only up grades I have is the Fleece in tank lift pump and does great and I did install fuel pressure gauge on the factory fuel filter housing and it shows the pump at idle pressure is 22 lb and hard pulling it will stay around 19-20 lbs.
I went with sloshfab and it’s a great kit looks wise. The only issues were the Down pipe was too short to fit onto my 5 inch exhaust and he didn’t provide a boot for the hot side pipe to intercooler. And he quoted me 6-7 weeks and it took 3 1/2 months. I would go with wcfab if I were to do another swap.
Been looking at getting a diesel soon and found your 4th gen ram video after searching UA-cam for 2500 Cummins. I too have always liked the Rams and the Cummins engine. I’m also from OKC. I used to live off 104th & Penn. Keep posting the good content, if you see or hear any trucks for for sale around OKC let me know 👍🏻
I have a 4th gen with the second gen swap and love the turbo but like you I hated the exhaust flange. I burnt thru mine and searched for 3 months trying to purchase one. Almost impossible but I found a custom shop that milled them from a solid block of stainless. fits perfectly to the turn down and from there you can run 4 or 5 inch.
I have one from stainless diesel with a 475. Went together perfectly and came with a manifold. Any 2nd gen swap kit that doesn't come with a manifold is incomplete in my eyes. Any kit that forces me to purchase one separately is one I would stay away from.
So I’m considering doing some bad financial decisions. But it’s supposed to work. Early 3rd gen dodge. 6.7 block. 24v head. And a p pump to top it all off. I would like to do compounds on it. And I’d like to have an exhaust break. But I feel like that’s a lot to ask at this point. But would it be possible to make that all work. Assuming an endless budget. Which I don’t have but I’m curious
I am getting ready to install a WC (probably) kit to my 07 third gen 5.9. What turbo combo do you recommend? I want a performance set up, but I also tow a RV trailor 6 to 8 times a year. Sometimes a car trailor as well. I currently have a no cat 4 inch exhaust, banks high ram intake horn and filter intake, oil and fuel bypass filters, mechanical fuel pump, quadzilla boost fooler, and a bullydog (which will change to EFI live after compound kit) Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Dam where do you live I need to do my 05 3rd Gen 5,9 with Sneed Speed exhaust manifold and Tubo up grade to looking for big hits power just a better flowing and cooler 56 cylinders and the Fleece bypass but I would have to change the thermostat that comes in kit to fail safe thermostat because if the break they are stuck open and all the rest break closed and I do not want change that thermostat when it’s broke and I would even think about leaving the thermostat out. I run a 180 thermostat now to help cool the 3 rear cylinders but I have not changed the fan setting to 180 yet but with a heat gun they are running cooler . Let me know Iam retired so got the time.
Awesome video most definitely going with WC Fab You've been buying products from these guys for a couple months now love their powder coat. Just deleted my deleted my DPF went with 5" Turbo back when I delete EGR with my tuner Is there anything I have to unplug on the EGR tself going to be a little while before I get time to actually take it off
I’ve got a bone stock 2003 5.9 211k have been looking into 2nd gen swapping it and was looking at smedings kit. With it being stock what would you recommend running/upgrading if I do the 2nd gen swap?
Man if you don’t plan on adding fuel later on I’d suggest a drop in turbo from savage fab, but if you want to go with a second gen swap I’d go with a 464. It’s all about what you’re going to do with the truck.
On the evil fab kit did you have to buy longer studs to mount the turbo because of the spacer? If so what size did you buy? Also did the kit come with coolant plugs? Thank you!
Do you think a bone stock 2018 with 30k miles will spool an S472? I would delete and tune when installing a 2nd gen swap. I only tow sub 6k#. I won an S472 is why I look that route.
Anyone running a smeding? That's what I have, I bought it with the kit. The wheels are beat up. Would it be best just to replace with the same? I'm also on efilive would I need a new tune with a bigger turbo etc?
I don’t have any expierence with them but my buddy @everythang_diesel does. If the wheels are best up I’d buy a new turbo. And if it’s going to be bigger it would be optimal with a better tune.
Does anyone know the reason why Fleece stopped selling their 2nd gen swap kits? I’ve got an 08 mega cab G56 I’m looking to 2nd gen swap myself just trying to see which kit fits me the best. Love the content man!
From what i know they still sell all the parts to make a second gen swap you just have to piece it together. I’m sure if you called they could “possibly” get you a deal. They have 10% off now for Black Friday but it’s the same sale they have all year for using GREGA20 discount code. If you need any other help DM me on instagram.
Their kits were really high and down pipe was thin and that’s just what I read. I have bought a couple of things from them and it was all good so for me personally they are good to deal with and their products were top shelf .
Here it is, Dec 2023, and I have heard rumors that WC Fab is no longer producing the 2nd gen swap kit for the 4th Gen. I just checked their website which seems to conform the rumor. Can you recommend the next best alternative? Thank you, by the way for taking the time to do a 4 kit comparison. Awsome video with very helpful content! Keep up the good work.
I love what Jake is doing at slosh fab. There are many different up and coming companies that are out there. However the best way to do the down pipe has to be WCfabs. It clamps on to your aftermarket exhaust system with band clamps and doesnt require any cutting of the exhaust. Hope this helps.
Iam 68 yrs old and this my second Dodge 5.9 12valve and after 189 k I called dealer in Nashville ILL and sight un seen told what I wanted nd they are about 79 miles away and they deliver it to my house and we sign the paper work takes 5 minutes and BOOM sold to me. The name of dealer Holznire that sell it all Chet zford Dodge and their Sensation power boats look like a cigarette boat and sells Honda stuff and they do deliver !

Same experience. He has excellent customer service.
How long did it take you guys to recieve your slosh kits from the time you ordered ?
@@307AutoAddict I just talked to Jake over at sloshfab about getting a kit. He said 2 weeks raw piping or 4 weeks powder coated

What all did the kit come with?
Even tho I have the evilfab, if I was do to over again I’d go with the wcfab kit.
Good video Erik 👍🏼
Thanks bro.
Going for wcfab or evilfab on my 2012 6.7 within the next couple of months. Great video man
Thanks man.

Can you do a coolant bypass video? I have used your gauge install and valve body install videos and they helped out tremendously so thank you.
If i ever do an install i will do a video on it 🤙🏼

Hey man new follower! I’m from Wichita Falls not to far from you. Your truck is pretty killer! I’m about to the 2gen swap myself.
Great reviews you did very good and I want to do this big time !!
I run a stainless diesel 2nd gen swap I love it. Which coolant bypass kit did you run I was told I need to run a 5.9 manual in my 6.7

anything is possible with money. talk to jake at sloshfab. he may be able to custom build it for you.
@@okc_garage I mean that’s a fair point. I’ll have to start saving😂
What other upgrades did you feel like you needed before or after the second gen swap
Coming to you live from Cookie Cutter Culdisac USA! JK!!! Nice Vlogs man. What's the odometer on the '14 mega???
Great informative video. Made my decision! Thank you.
Good job I want this bad .

I would go with an S464. 5.9 should push that pretty nice on stock fuel.

What other supporting mods do you have on your truck with the second gen swap?
Check out the description of the video. I have everything listed below.

I think it wouldn’t hurt to unplug it. I left all mine plugged in until i removed it and i didn’t feel a difference.

Note - It is got an edge tuner on it and a 4inch turbo back that’s it!

the kit came with the extended studs for the spacer for the manifold.
Let’s see the 2012
Just posted a picture of it on my you tube page.
Does wc fab make a 2nd gen compound turbo kit(??
They do. Check out their website. They are limited on 6.7 Cummins stuff now a days.
hey i can’t seem to find this werhli custom fab kit anymore, do you have a list of what i need to get the full kit?
It is discontinued for the 6.7.
The 5.9 kit is literally the same except for hot side intercooler piping and intake tube.
Do you think a bone stock 2018 with 30k miles will spool an S472? I would delete and tune when installing a 2nd gen swap. I only tow sub 6k#. I won an S472 is why I look that route.
It will drive but it will be very laggy. A 467.7 or 468 is the largest i would go for stock fuel.
What kit would you recommend in 2024. Wcfab is discontinued
Slosh fab hands down. I have installed a couple more of his kits since filming this and I’m about to order his compound kit for my 3rd gen.
Debating on low or high mount for my 3rd gen 6.7. Why do you like the high mount?
Low mount is to close to the battery tray and if you still have a grid heater you have to move it somewhere else.
Anyone running a smeding? That's what I have, I bought it with the kit. The wheels are beat up. Would it be best just to replace with the same? I'm also on efilive would I need a new tune with a bigger turbo etc?

What kit are u using for the egr delete? Mine keeps leaking
These are all second gen swapped
Have you swapped your feed tubes on 5.9 ?
Swapping 6.7 feed tubes on to a 05 5.9 the 67 tubes are better make flow more fuel ?
@@brentmcmahon8188there’s zero reason to swap the cross tubes
Does wc fab still offer the high mount second gen swap?
They do not. But slosh fab makes a phenomenal kit now.
So when you do the 2nd gen swap
you lose your exhaust brake?
yes, they make exhaust brakes that can be fitted on after a 2nd gen swap
Hmm, I do think Pacbrake or BD exhaust brake kit might be better or not.
You have to put copper colored anti size or you will break them off, not good !!!
Do you need different tuning when doing this swap.I have 4th gen with EFI live
You could need a tune revision to get the optimal power from your second gen swap and to get rid of a possible check engine light.

Im looking to get a slosh fab kit and the guy told me for everything is 6k
Did you contact Jake shlosser at slosh fab? This doesn’t sound right. His kits are usually $4-4500 depending on options and turbo.
That can't be right. He just quoted me $3,950 shipped including powder coating
Must be easy to get lost in a neighborhood like that.
