Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. Snapped the input shaft driving home. Time to get her removed and get ready for our built unit.

Its been a few months since i recorded this video and it is painful listening to me explain the parts lol. O how we live and learn....
I respect the work but Lots of work the driveway or parking lot to them on. We know they dont see the road or any off road use
100,000 percent correct. This truck is a pavement princess. I have never denied it.
Did you have to do valve springs or pushrods?
You don’t have too. But it is recommended.
@@okc_garage thank you for the reply I’m probably gonna do a s464 t4 manifold leave the stock injectors wasn’t sure if I would need them for that size turbo head studs I’m gonna do for sure
@@drtpusher586 i don’t have pushrods or valve springs in my truck yet. You should be fine for a while. If your running higher RPM is when they would be necessary.
@@okc_garage ok I don’t plan on tuning the truck to rev past factory rpm I’m just looking to do the swap just to eliminate the vgt most I get my truck up to maybe 2500 or little higher usually when towing

On those "shift flares" it's actually the pcm partially unlocking the torque convertor during the shift to cushion the application of the torque from the Cummins. The 68rfe with a 3.42 rear and tall mud tires with a tune will eventually burn the .81 and .62 overdirve clutches out.

I’d look at a 6.4 Cummins. Best of both worlds between a 5.9 and 6.7 Cummins
Ive looked into some of these hybrid builds. I will have to reasearch them some more. I really dont want to have to buy new injectors if i dont have too.
How much does it cost to get a 68 rebuilt?
There are many factors. It all depends on what you want done, and what power you plan on putting down. They can range from $5-$15k.

Good to see you posting more. Your videos on 2nd gen swaps were a big help for me. I went from stock to currently an S467.7, 10mm CP3, BBI stage 1.5 injectors plus all the other usual supporting mods.

@@okc_garage I respect that I got an '05 3rd gen with the 5.9 Cummins. Unfortunately, the 5.9 Cummins decided to go out on me so I'm going to put a 6.7 in hoping they'll be a good combo with the 48re and I'm going to be doing an s468 turbo. All in all, I'm hoping for a good setup with all of that

13 minutes of the obvious, what did this have anything to do with buying a 4th Gen?
So this comment is totally late to the game. We own 2006 5.9l Which for the most part is bone stock. Looking to get a couple of upgrades on it within a budget. We don’t have any additional gauges or a tune on it but I do need to upgrade the transmission just a little bit before things get ugly. How hard was the install on your 6.7 and would you recommend putting us on my 5.9? I appreciate the video. Cheers
I cut a small hole and got a can of good spray foam and push a sock in with the straw for spraying. My cushion went bad right along the left side from getting in and out. After pushing the sock in i sprayed it until it started coming out of the sock . After expanding and drying i cut the sock and you can hardly notice. It expanded real nice and tighten the material and it is still good years later. I did it without the sock the first time but it just broke up and fell through the bottom.

First and most important, thanks for a fantastic video! Not so much with what you did because I'm familiar with that, but because of how you explained it and how you did it, you didn't bloviate about yourself and begging people to subscribe to your channel and have racing cars and shit music in the interim, you are very professional getting right to the point and fast forwarding a lot of the clips which was great, did you get the extra firm foam from The Seat Shop? They call it Durofoam and it's wonderful, much firmer than OEM, I have one for my Ram I'm going to install in the next day or two. Nice job great video!

Not the whistle. I have a 5 blade stainless diesel turbo. The raspy drone in the cab is gone.

Bought it from full send diesels website.
I took a big home depot tote and cut it down to about 8 inches tall and it was able to capture all the fluid. Also, i used an after market gasket and that was way better than the rtv stuff. I like the revmax valve body, i would like to do that too. Cool video thanks!

What was your decision process for 4.30 vs 4.44?
Had a buddy go 4.56 and said it was too much, and i know 4.10s wouldn’t be enough. I just landed right in the middle.
@@okc_garage I'm running 285/55-22's on my Dually and Hot Shot... My transmission guys run 4.56 on their Dually w/ 37's and said it was too much gear... I was on the fence about 4.30 or 4.44
The 285/55-22 is a Nitto Recon and they measure out to a 34/11.5

Here’s my thing. You want big power, Smokey burnouts and speed WHY A DIESEL? Their not meant for RPM’s and who cares if your putting down 500 hp because that might as well be 200hp in an F150 and or 15:00 seconds in 1/4 mile 😂😂 Not meant to wind out neither and that is reason heads lift, transmissions Blow apart because their 10k+ pounds trying drive it like a sports car! Delete with mild tune and go get a camper to explore backcountry Foolish but it’s your money playa

All my lines are way clear. I do have AN lines now not factory lines. Hope this helps.

The coolant exhaust color change test is to be run with the engine running on active pushing exhaust out from a blown head gasket it's fairly useless if the engine is off.
Hey man, I’m looking for a 2g swap kit for my 4th gen Cummins, specifically wc fab. But I Litterally can’t find one on their website for a fourth gen, but I clearly see them for third gen’s. My truck is stock and I wanted to delete the def tank. So how do you convince the computer to not put you in limp mode by pulling the tank out?

I had to get a tune revision to raise trans line pressure. The CEL was for a crank case sensor i had removed. Tuner tuned it out. That’s why there not a light anymore.
Do you need a tune to do this? I have the same equipment and about to install them on my 2017 2500. Was curious if I need to tune before, or after?
You will need a tune to up the line pressure.
Hi have a question for you boss man have your check engine light came on when you change the valve cover ?
It did but i got a tune revision to get rid of the sensor that is attached to the OEM valve cover so i wouldn’t have a check engine light anymore.
