I've simply not seen better films than yours of Scotland's mountains, coasts and forests, they deserve to be on mainstream TV just as they are. A very accomplished and subtle compilation. Beautiful and stunning.
Thank you, as always Jim for inviting us into your experience of being with that magnificent earth. Your films are so beautifully crafted and they reflect the depth of your relationship with the earth, such a great gift to us….I hope you have a peaceful holiday season, and I look forward to seeing more of your time in the hills next year! 🕊️💕
It's taken me until this fine christmas morning to enjoy this visual delight. Up at 5, Santa's been and the family want a lie in 😊. So at last, watched this with my 9 month year old grandson. Brilliant. Merry Christmas.
Thank's Jim, Really appreciate The Time you take To set These angle's Up with light & Reflection's with Walk by's .. Absolute stunning Views with aerial. Cheers Paul
Thanks Sean. Appreciate the comment. Would be nice to get more subscribers but the ones I've got are great. They always leave lovely comments like yours.
Absolutely brilliant, apart from talking to my dog, I prefer the silence so I can embrace wildness Scotland has. You absolutely give this with your videos love them.
What a treat, Jim! I said some time back that I’d like to see a feature film of yours one day, which is what this felt like. Nearly an hour of absolute bliss.
I remember you saying that. You may have seen some of it before. Still plan to do an original feature length film at some point. Just hard to find the time at the moment. hopefully in the new year.
@ yes, I recognise all of it from previous videos, but it sat together amazingly well as a single piece of work. A feature film would be a massive undertaking, so I wasn’t really expecting you to make one, but I’m so here for it if you did manage to.
Wow! Thank you so much for the donation. That's so kind of you. Donations really do help me make more films. I'm actually planning to buy a new camera soon so I'll put it towards that. Thank you! 🙏
No talking for a year. That's impressive 😊. I'm savouring this one for the weekend after walk. I've just bought Ranulph Fiennes Explorer film. So a double bill for me 😊
@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking Thanks Jim. I was going to see him in Edinburgh but had to cancel the day before. I'm actually reading his book Shackleton just now.
What a great film through the seasons. Did you do one last year, maybe? Anyway, good memories, and I'll look forward to next years highlights. Thanks for taking us along throughout the year.
Thanks. I did this one about 8 months ago which was a similar compilation of highlights ua-cam.com/video/o8uB3EihBww/v-deo.htmlsi=Fr6VMjaKxtKThbRO Looking forward to doing more next year.
Yes that was relaxing and blissful , the many wonders of Scotland... you made it all look so peaceful and empty, so how the hell did you get Blaven to yourself 😂
It's funny that you mention having Blaven all to myself. Actually I didn't. When I got to the summit there was a wedding party! The bride in full on white wedding dress blowing in the wind! I had to wait about an hour for them to head off and then I did have the place to myself. I always stay until as late as I can on the summit because that's when you tend to have it to yourself, plus the light is at its best. The descent was mostly in the dark with a headtorch.
Sensational video, absolutely joyous to watch those incredible views of Bonnie Scotland and really appreciated the silence..letting the views do the talking❤️ instead of the inane ramblings on some of the youtubers videos Cheers for sharing
This is a LOT of hard work by an expert film-maker. A visual delight. Turn off the news, crass American entertainment and chat show drivel -- watch this instead.
Thanks for watching. For more from Scotland's mountains head over here ua-cam.com/video/o8uB3EihBww/v-deo.htmlsi=Fr6VMjaKxtKThbRO

Ah, thanks Steve. you always say the nicest things. Hoping to do another hill tomorrow. Weather's looking great for the next few days.

Well, thank you. For watching and for saying such lovely things. Have a wonderful Christmas too. Will certainly be out in the mountains again in 2025.
A Classic film. Beautiful.
Thank you. 🙂
I can feel myself unravelling, watching these! Just glorious.
Thanks Helen. I’m glad it helped you unravel. 😊

Thanks Paul as always for watching. I enjoy making them.
This film was truly brilliant Jim some amazing trips out, with breathtaking scenery.
Thanks! I feel fortunate to have enjoyed some great trips this year. Hopefully more in 2025.
You deserve more views and subscribers. Incredible footage as always. Breathtaking!

Absolutely amazing atmosphere man! This looks and feels so atmospheric and adventurous!
Thanks as always. The mountains do all the hard work for me just by looking so atmospheric and beautiful.
Absolutely brilliant, apart from talking to my dog, I prefer the silence so I can embrace wildness Scotland has. You absolutely give this with your videos love them.
Me too. That's what it's all about. You get so much more out of a place if you go there quietly. Thanks for watching.
Fabulous ❤have a great Xmas buddy
Thanks for watching and being so supportive this year. Have a great Christmas too!

I saw Ranulph Fiennes do a talk once. He’s quite a character. Hope you enjoy the film!

@@hamshanksproductions7161 I might have to read that. Amazing story.

Wonderful hiking video through beautiful nature and awsome landscapes 😊😊😊
Thank you. Scotland has such variety in its landscapes. Such a pleasure to be able to get out into the mountains.
Wow first few seconds looks amazing already ❤
Amazing as always Jim a pleasure to watch. Which mountain was you on, the Dome shaped one...? 👍🍻
Do you mean the one at 10:58? That's Sgurr na Ciche at the head of Loch Nevis. Thanks for watching.
@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking Yes cheers 👍🍻
Wow nearly an hour... need to come back to this on the TV... maybe with a dram or two 😂
Enjoy! It's probably more entertaining with a dram :-)
A man alone no self, no personality, nothing but melting into the landscape and moving to the rhythms of it…
Pleased to read your comment. That's kind of what I'm aiming for, to make it more about the place than the person. Thanks.
Frédéric Gros wrote an excellent book about the themes of walking which explores the Philosophy of Walking especially how it feels!

@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking no way , your making that up 🤣
Did you take any photos of the couple 🤷♂️🤣

@@ScotlandandMe Thank you. You wouldn't want to listen to my inane ramblings! The sound of the wind is much better.
@@itsablack1 Was going to offer them a drone shot but they had their own drone.
