SOOOOOOO EXCITING and what a FANTASTIC unboxing Ana and WOW AMAZING plant gifts from Jacobo, Herminia and Georgiana, incredible seeds and absolutely adorable cactus seedlings, they are cuties and all so healthy too :-D and so many different types, WOW, thanks so much for sharing this incredible unboxing Ana, and Hans and I are sending you lots of love and happiness and CAFFEINE and PLANT POWER to Las Vegas for a sunny Sunday today XXXXX
Very nice seed packages!!! I have mammilaria carnea bit it is an " inermis" variety ( no spines). The unidentified seeds judging by the picture looks like trichocereus grandiflora hybrids, very beautiful flowers on these plants, you will love them!!! From Morris park in the Ozarks have a blooming wonderful day!!!! Peace Love ,Plants!!!!!✌💖🌵🌸🌴💐🌿🌻🍀🌷
It's indeed lovely to receive gifts no matter what they may be and in this case seeds. Lucky you! But they've all found a great mama to take care of their whole growing up stage ☺️☺️.
I got so excited on the unboxing! 😍 i usually wait for Daz to wake up and comment first. 😂 you have been gifted awesome seeds and seedlings, Ana. The seedlings looked so healthy and they have great roots. It’s amazing how they grow like that in New York. Challenging to say the least. Thank goodness for awesome grow lights. 🤣 i loved the E. grusonii brevispinus. That will be an awesome plant when it matures. We have yet to find the E. grusonii albispinus. 😂 thanks for sharing with us. Have a great weekend! ❤️🤗🥰🌼🌺🌸🌵🌵🙏❤️
Awesome cactus gifts Ana, you got some real beauties there 😊 Happy you finally have a Frailea in your collection now. All the seedlings look super healthy, they’ve been grown and cared for very well. Great selection of seeds as well. Thank you for sharing with us Ana, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful weekend 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜☕️
Dang, I can’t believe how these are grown just under growlights. I can’t take these seedlings out in my garden as they will all hate me. New York 🥶 to Las Vegas 🥵. Hahaha.... Spoiler alert.... I accepted Mars Hydro Daz. So these babies will continue to grow under a light. 😉
Oh what lovely gifts. Great stuff there. Growing from seed is definitely fun. It's cool having plants that are endemic somewhere. Makes you feel like you own a tiny piece of that place. BTW, cactus have fruits. A fruit is usually a fleshy/pulpy body inside that contains seeds. A pod is specifically a hard usually dry shell specifically for legumes like beans and peas etc.
Scary Fear oh. Hahaha. Thanks for the clarification. I use them both because though I know it is a fruit, many of them are just all seeds inside. Especially when I pick them, I wait for them to dry up first so when I crack them open, all there is are seeds inside. 😄 But you are correct. 👍🏼
i just wanted to let you know i had a cactus that produced a few seed pods and i actually have a few seedlings that are now growing but i am concerned about getting them through the upcoming fall and winter as i live in the midwest here in the united statesws
David Hurry oh, how exciting! It is best if you can keep them indoors during the winter. Or you may also use some heat mat underneath and cover the seeds to keep the heat inside.
PLANET SPIKES no, I have not tried it. If I can grow them in soil, I prefer the natural look. Though I may give it a try in the future. But the root stock is hard to source where I live.

It means there is very little left of them growing in their natural habitat. 🙂
