I'm curious if you really need all that pressure. I have only attempted grafting once before--around twenty years ago--so clearly you're more experienced, but... I successfully grafted a tiny Rebutia seedling onto Pereskiopsis stock. I did all the trimming on the Pereskiopsis first, then sliced the seedling and left it sitting on the blade. After a final cut on the Pereskiopsis, I just slid the seedling onto the fresh cut--minimum of air exposure. Afterwards, no pressure or anchoring at all, just protection from drying out. At least for such a tiny seedling the mucilage was enough to keep everything stuck together. The graft took and the seedling grew many times faster than it would have on its own roots.
Hey, now we got to see that harsh flick off mistake! From the force of the panty hose or whatever one is using. Happened so we got to see that worse case scenario kind thing aw man oops
Great video! I blew up in tears when I saw that scion fling but these are the lessons of growing. Thank you sir.
For sure. I often have my daughter help me so that I have an extra set of hands.
Wow nice sharing videos. Tamsak done

The smaller the graft the less pressure is required to push all the air bubbles out of the union.
Great video man, which is the first cacti you cut the top.
What time signature?

The first tip graft I did also went flying and I was doing it with a varigated San Pedro luckily it took but who it was stressful

The graft took just fine.
Thanks for the video. In the rest of the world 'scion' is pronounced how you would pronounce 'science' - the 'c' is silent.
😅gosh
