I agree with your assessment of the larger 'solar generators' vs the small one. I got a small LiTime 240/300 & use it for charging my drone & camera batteries when out. My wife charges her computer & runs her sewing machine. Handy little power supply. Came with a folding 100W solar panel that looks a lot like yours.
I have a 300 watt & a 1000 watt EBL power station which does not have Lifepo4, a needed feature. I use the 300 on my nightstand & the 1000 to transfer water from my work truck to the camp host tanks. My 300 appears to have a 3 cell battery so it starts out at 12 volts but quickly sags. I solved the issue with my 5 watt low power CW ham radio by using a 8-30 volt buck converter on the DC output of the EBL with a fixed 12.5 volts out & thus have used the 300 EBL down to 10.5 volts -20%). My EBL 1000 appears to have a 4 cell battery, it does not sag on voltage quickly. I still like to use my buck converter which I put into a small box with one inch round LCD panel voltmeters both in & output with Anderson Power Pole connectors on both ends. For POTA (Parks on the Air) I go in to a State, National, Provincial, or WMA to throw up a simple wire antenna with the goal to make at least 10 contacts with other hams. There isn’t enough time in this lifetime to play with all of our adult toys Ray. Cheers & 73, Dave - KU9L
I guess that's basically what is in the Bluetti Charger 1 device that charges power stations from 12 or 24 volt alternator engine systems and can step up the output voltage in different levels to as high as 56V. It Likely has some extra software programming to know when to cut off charging to not drain the vehicle battery and a Bluetooth board for its app.
I am impressed with all your videos. A few years ago I purchased a Bluetti AC200P power station. To date I have not been able to use it. Question Do I need 4-100 watt solar panels to charge this unit? Thank you in advance for a reply. Ian [ in Series that is]
Thanks :) Here the solar input specs for the AC200P 700W Max., VOC 35-150V, 12A. Looking at them I would guess that it would start to charge with only 2 100 watt panels in series. Most 100 watt panels have a VOC rating or over 20 so two in series would double that to over 40. Even as many as 6 in series may work. I did a review of that model back in 2021. There are a few videos here www.loveyourrv.com/bluetti-ac200p-off-grid-2000w-portable-power-station-review-real-world-tests/ Cheers, Ray

I've looked at a few different brands over the years but like the Bluetti power stations. The early ones had some cons to them but I give them credit for listening to the feedback and evolving the product. Ecoflow is pretty nice too. There are a ton on the market now, holy cow, I get emails all the time from brands I've never heard of.

That delicate balance between power and weight. I have a an older Bluetti EB150, decent power but heavy to move around.

Cool tip on the buck converter, thanks!
@ You can pick various current abilities also. I used a step up buck converter to also charge a power center from another Lifepo4 battery.
