You need to advertise this to the Seniors in England. They are freezing since the new government took their winter allowance away. Good luck and God bless you.
Dude, I can't thank you enough for making this simple and easy to understand. It drives me crazy how all the other videos start talking about amps and watts and volts and this and that.............................. Thank you
Thank you especially for explaining serial and parallel solar hooks, made simple. I am fact gathering before my purchase and this one video has made me rethink going with EcoFlow, the running 120/240 simultaneous was the most compelling feature. You just got yourself another subscriber, thanks again.
Really appreciate this comment Vjay. Echoflow is definitely a great unit, but this monster is on a whole other level. They really did a great job on this one
Well one things for sure. When you have a battery hooked up like that you really find out how much power is being used. All the appliances in standby made add up when your on a battery. I have replaced all the bulbs in the house with cfl and led bulbs and saw no difference in the electric bill. I have a 1000 watt that I hooked up to 1 refrigerator just to see how long it would run for. It sat almost the whole time without being opened and it only ran it for around 5 hours. I had hoped it would go longer than that. I have a 4000 watt hooked up to the breaker box and I can go from gas generator to battery really easy. I just hope the battery will run the heater through the night. If it does that maybe I can add the refrigerator on to it. Just want to have the essentials and the quiet while everyone is sleeping.
Love the video. I'm in the market for a portable solar-powered station like this one. However, my constructive criticism of the video would be to delete the word "cheap" from the presentation when describing accessories. I recommend using words like reasonably priced, affordable, etc. Otherwise, excellent review.
Come on guys….this would run a 120v fridge for a day. This may be good to great to power a 12 volt camping fridge for a few days and phone charging + usb lights. You’re going to need a quite few of these or some how connect a large bank of batteries to run a house full of 120 volt stuff for a day.
@@jamesmcritchie8310 you are correct. I was simply pointing out the obvious limitation because so many of the reviewers fail to do so. Many people who are new battery capacity will not understand how much stored energy is required to run run one appliance during a power outage. That is all. I personally don’t feel that people who don’t know information should be called babies. Seems a little harsh. You have yourself a great day.
I own two Anker F3800s. Take it from me. The Anker solar panels are NOT the best to use in terms of getting the most power output. For some reason, AllPowers solar panels put out more power, and so I've been using those instead.
I think this is great for using in conjunction with generator, I am going to use this in my 24’x24’ workshop to run saws grinders and welders so I don’t have to get permits for wiring from house to shed,it will work great because you are not using power constantly but to use together with generator for grid down problems for house. Everyone please use good judgement on these power supplies, they are very temporary, for running your house use a 4800 watt generator on propane preferably but gasoline if not available. Money is in most cases my primary decision.
Hey TRZ, I noticed the inlet device moving around when you attached the flexible cord with the interlocking cord bodies to the inlet. Maybe you need some longer screws to attach to the sheathing and not just the vinyl siding. Just trying to help. Lights, and phone chargers draw very little wattage. Electric clothes dryers, water heaters, ovens, air-conditioning, etc., those appliances draw far more power and drain the battery much quicker than a new 75" Samsung QLED 90.
Awesome video brother. This was super informative. Thanks for bringing it to the channel. Gotta ahow this to the wife, it will come in handy in the spring.
A small one with a solar panel so you can recharge, a small single electric coil burner you can plug in to cook basic meals and boil water and a small space heater. That will get you through a long time.
I am determined to correctly size for my actual use. My electric company app shows KWh for each day. Maybe your electric utility will have that? Find out. My 3-season peak is 5 KWh and rarely 6 KWh. In winter, I can run 9-10 KWh but I have natural gas whole house heat and gas water heater, so what is that about? I use the oven more. Is it the oven/range? I am thinking countertop appliances will be enough for me. I decided next year I will turn all but the furnace off to see what it draws on standby, next all off but refrigerator, and next lights. By this means, I can expect to optomize it all.
So, on the very coldest day and staying toasty warm inside, my heat pump uses about 60kwh of power in 1 day. How many hours would this unit run my heat pump?
Question: Will this single unit run/start a heat pump??? And for those of us who still have our tri-fuel generators, please discuss the possibility of using a tri/gas generator to charge/supplement the charging of the Solix. Maybe topping off the Solix before dark so that the Solix can power everything quitey at night. These power stations are looking better every day. Good stuff, Thanks.
You would need to know the wattage of your heat pump but with a 6k watt inverter using the 240v outlet on the solix you should be good as long as it’s not trying to run everything else in the house at the same time. As far as generator yes you could use that to charge the solix.
That one last year that had us out for 2 days was horrible. I couldn't imagine what some of these people are dealing with in the south right now brother
That's why you need solar panels and an extra battery so one is always charging while you are using the other one. Ideally 4 larger batteries to cover both day and night. Will Prowse has some good videos on how to wire them up.
Some people also get an inverter propane/natural gas/gas generator and charge the battery. Not having to run the fuel generator 24/7 is nice from a noise perspective.
It's a battery !! And your "furnace" is most likely a gas furnace and this is just running the fan ... if you have 1 heat pump , this thing will fail - your hot water tank is also probably gas - electric hot water tank .... fail .... this is no way strong enough.
@ I live in an apartment. I’m thinkin about getting one of these. You think it would be worth the investment? I could always take it with me when I get a house 🤷🏾♀️
@None-gm4yk really depends on what you are looking to do with it None. If you have power outages or like to go places that don't have power then yeah, absolutely....but if you just need something to run computers or charge phones, then this may be a bit over kill as they make smaller units that would so the same thing just not as powerful
You can’t power a whole house on 25amps. Just stop the BS, on a small battery having any longevity for no more than an hour at 25amps. Watt hour = amp hours x volts. Thanks for a very useful review. My wife bought one of these a few months ago, but I haven't set it up yet. That's my project for today.
This is absolutely great equipment in case of emergency. Love it😍👌
"That's real nice-like" 😂😂! Thank you for the information!

If the electronics are there some one who is smart instead of baby can use it build with it to cover what’s needed

Can you grid tie and net meter these Ankers?

Great eye. I just had the siding redone and they didn't tighten it back up enough so I went out and screwed it down again 👊👊👊

Thanks brother
I am planning on getting my house off the grid. Will this run my house and if so how long do you think this unit would last.
the rope hanging down from the garage door allows you to disengage and open the door manually.. :)
Yeah, wife would live that
Will it continue to power the house while charging using solar?
If you can charge the unit with the solar panels on a good bright.Sunny day while powering the whole house for $2500.That's a steal.
Clint, that was a great description and walk through. Looks like a beefy unit.
interesting product. i know generators always expensive gotta run them outside bunch extension cords. but product you showed seems practical.
Pretty cool. Its got all the features
Can you run the power cord from the outlet to the Anker. And use a timer so you can time the charging with the outlet for the ac

Wind and solar options or just solar?
Thanks very plenty for this review. However, what are your thoughts on the Anker Solix X1? I thought that would be a better purchase than this?
What is the cost of the unit and cost of 6 solar panels?
So, on the very coldest day and staying toasty warm inside, my heat pump uses about 60kwh of power in 1 day. How many hours would this unit run my heat pump?
Thank you for your info ❤❤❤❤
When maria hit in 2017 in Puerto Rico all of us was with out power for 3monts and survive
Nice, can I plug in to charge while I’m using it from wall plug?
Van life dream unit
What about powering your washer and dryer?

Answer is no. However the portable or more efficient window units would be able to operate off of this. Possibly a mini split too.
Well my unit f3800 keep shutting down, around 4700 ish, its a 6000 watt- why is this happening?
What do you mean, it's actually shutting off, or the screen is timing out? You can change all these run times in the app
How much dhakes can knitt make with one charge please
You did a great job with this video! ✝️🙏❤🇺🇸
I'd buy one but we get any sun in the UK
Im so over things running on Apps!
So what would happen if Cell phone network went like "Gone" or EMP!
I have been looking at that power station for awhile now, just waiting for when I can afford it! lol
1000 off right now
Did they give you this for free to do the video?
It's huge.
Will f3800 use more power, if connected with 50 ammo plug.
Na, just what you are drawing. That wouldn't make a difference
But won’t the battery juice leak out if you lay it down??
Lol
Will one 400 watt solar panel good?
Would take longer to charge, but yeah it would definitely help
I like that
Been a lot of annoying outages this year.
That one last year that had us out for 2 days was horrible. I couldn't imagine what some of these people are dealing with in the south right now brother
@@ToolReviewZone We had tornadoes in August but it wasn't too bad for us. Some areas were out for a week. Down south is another level.

@@ChatGPT1111I wish he would explain that too in this video.
Thank you.
This Anker only has a 60v solar input..horrible for a whole home backup. The new jackery 5000 or Delta pro ultra are much better.
I knew the "I'm a man" bit was coming and still laughed my ass off!
Magnetic ones save more and work weather the sun is out iof not,
I like Anker.
What, no pesky Gnome cameo?
He's just so pesky 😢
LOL
Wot da
Why you remind me of the guy from police Academy dude
Which one, Mahoney? 🤣 Great movie 😎
