Robocell 1.2 Updated Cell

This is a video up date on a retrofit of an older cell that we commissioned in 2015. It allows for a seamless and toolless transition between a Generation 1 and a Generation 2 part. It also included a new mill. Throughput is up about 35% thanks to our Doosan HC400.

Love the Doosan machines. How long did it take to put the cell together?

This is a retrofit and partial rebuild, which took about a month to implement after design and build working off and on. The robot program only mostly needed tweaking, so that was easy. The mill integration was super slick with Fanuc Ladder III and that we are getting better at tying the PLC and CNC together. I'm happy with the cell. It should be ready for another 7 years of service!
