CoolSpeed® - Adjustable High Speed Spindles in action at Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions

Watch how Roush Yates, a world leader in racecar engine manufacturing and manufacturing solutions, is using CoolSpeed in a Mori Seiki NL2000 machine to improve their manufacturing process! This video features two fluid-driven ultra-high-speed adjustable angle spindles in the same toolholder operating at 45K rpm with a long reach ball endmill set to 70 degrees. CoolSpeed offers many advantages over other spindle options such as traditional gear-driven toolholders. Generally, gear-driven speeders are bulky and expensive in investment price and maintenance costs. Some advantages of CoolSpeed include a low price point, universal compact maintenance-free design, excellent dynamic runout and ultra-high spindle speeds ranging from 30K to 80K rpm.
