Not just an animated video...they're an animated band! I don't know if it's still the case, but before, they were even animated live, while the band played offstage.
The musicians change because the band are the animated characters, the creador of this band was the vocalist of Blur, the indie band that earn all prices regards rock music at the end of the 90s
The rap part it's performed by De La Soul, one of the greatest Hip hop of all times, RIP Trugoy ❤️ After listening to this song I m feeling blessed by be able to enjoy this one they came out!
im pretty pretty partial to rock the house myself, just something about the wind instruments gets me. that little flute tune will forever live in my head rent free
Gorillaz is formed by Damon Albarn (singer of Blur) and Jamie Hewlett who creates the anime. My introduction to this band was "19-2000" a song present in FIFA 2002. 19-2000, Clint Eastwood and Feel Good Inc are my favorites.
@@robertpetre9378 Has Bisscute reacted to the live-action "Tank Girl" movie with Lorie Petty? Kinda '90s janky, but it did a pretty good job in capturing the anarchic aesthetic of the work (and, IMO, used the period's aforementioned janky "superhero awkward phase" pretty well in that endeavour). I don't think it gets the credit it's due.
Also one of the first big "virtual bands", in the vein of Prozzak, meaning that the animated characters were meant to be seen as the band and not just representations of them. Excellent, Gorillaz is a British virtual band that earned the title as 'Best Virtual Band' in the Guiness Book of Records. I like it the band good reaction beautiful Bisscute enjoying 👍👍😉
Love them ❤ My favorite track has to be DARE. It's such a vibe, and the chorus is addictingly catchy. One of those songs when I listen to it, I listen to it 5 times and 5 days
It's not just this clip, they are indeed their animated avatars 😅, so their music videos are all at least partially animated and usually connected in a longer story. Indeed, the next song starts exactly from those helicopters you see here, yes they are a cliffhanger 😊
its not surprising really since the world is so big; whatever is super played on radio in some places; is not played in others. like for example if you live somewhere where english is not spoken.
From Gorillaz I recommend: "5/4", "Tomorrow Comes Today", "Clint Eastwood", "Sound Check", "19-2000", "Starshine", "Slow Country", "Kids with Guns", "Dirty Harry", "Every Planet We Reach Is Dead", "Fire Coming out of the Monkey's Head"
Love my teens years with this kind of music! I feel blessed, but so should 80's/70's/60's+ feel! It's soooo much better compared to music these days! This song came right about when i made my transition into metal😅 And now here i am getting into Country and loving it more and more. Music is a blessing, it doesn't matter what genre's you like, if you take the time, you can find beauty within 99%.
Great reaction. Subscribed. They’re not a real group. It’s a bunch of musicians and artists collaborating to make a virtual group. It was created by Damon Albarn from Blur (he sings on most tracks) and cartoonist Jamie Hewlett. They work with hip-hop producer (one of my favs) Dan the Automator as well as Danger Mouse. They have features such as Del the Funkee Homosapian (Hieroglyphics, Deltron 3030), De La Soul, Shaun Ryder, Bobby Womack, Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads), Mos Def, Vince Staples, Roots Manuva, MF DOOM, Miho Hatori (Cibbo Matto), Lou Reed (Velvet Underground) and a ton of other musicians.
Their stuff is amazing from old to new :) As a teenager in 1999 I remember listening Klint Eastwood and the like on the first album as the year 2000 came in :)
Gorillaz is another band that i discovered , like always thanks to my dad , i became obssesed with them after i heard their music track called Clint Eastwood , over the years as their fan many great hits reached me , 19-2000 , Plastic Beach , Feel Good Inc , Stylo , Dirty Harry and many more. 🙂dear Bisscute since you mentioned , that you like to hear songs from the music bands that you never heard of , i have one perfect song for you and your amazing musical channel and it will be very famous music band from my home country Lithuania called The Roop with their huge musical hit called On Fire , i really hope you will enjoy it every second of it ❤ have a nice day ❤
Fun trivia - the laughing at the start, middle and end is Tom Hanks from the 80s movie "The Money Pit"; it is when the bath falls through the ceiling 🤣🤣
They aren't really tied to a genre. They ust do whatever they want. Should definitely check out "Stylo" and "Dare" along with "Clint Eastwood," which I know you'll get inundated with. Clint eastwood was their forst single, and it was a MASSIVE hit.
Awesome band. So good. I actually had the pleasure of seeing them live once. Second best concert I've ever been to. (Ghost is number 1 live) Please check out Fire Coming Out of the Monkey’s Head by Gorillaz It's more of a story narrated over music.
The lead singer of "Gorrilaz" is the same lead singer of the band "Blur". Check out their stuff if you want to see him in real life, songs like "Song 2" and "Girls & Boys"
Gorillaz was an experimental side project of Damon Albarn. He wasn't touring or recording at the time and while watching MTV with his roomate Jamie Hewlett (comic artist) came up with the idea to start a "virtual" pop band. Basically he just wanted to release any random song he came up with, without the need for a proper band. Jamie created the concept art for the virtual band members and the rest is history
Great reaction for a great band! You have plenty to listen! I suggest starting with Clint Eastwood (studio version and live versions with Snoop or Trueno are excellent)...and keep going! Cheers! PD: Some extra recommendations: Rock the house 19/2000 Tomorrow comes today On the mellancoly hill Dare Last living souls Stylo Andromeda Saturn barz Dirty harry And the list is endless! Have fun!

This band actually has quite the deep lore, behind every song and album. There’s a few videos that focus on breaking down the story and fictional history of the band and albums, if you’re interested, but I would recommend watching any of them only after you’ve heard a fair amount of the tracks.
They do a lot of collaborations with different artists. My favourites are Desolé with Fatoumata Diawara and Aries with Peter Hook the bassist from Joy Division/New Order.
Say Hello to the band, 2-D - Lead Singer - He's the main guy singing on this track and has 2 black eyes. Like... actual black eyes. He's adorable. Murdoc - Bassist - He's the nasty head of the band, and 2-D's best friend, sorta, He plays a nasty bass and has a nasty personality to boot. Russel - Drums - He's a mostly quiet man who (During the early songs) has his best friend's dead ghost possessing his hat, he is the one who plays the drums, Russel eventually picks it up tho. Noodle - Guitarist - She is a young Asian woman who showed up at the band's house with a guitar, don't ask any more questions, she's cute as a button and badass to boot. She's the one on the windmill island in the video.
Every time I hear this song it puts me in a great mood. Was sad to hear that the rapper from this song passed away last month. RIP Trugoy the Dove. I join the others in recommending the song Clint Eastwood but also the cover of this by Leo Moracciolli is awesome as well. Great reaction Biss!!!
I think you'd enjoy reacting to "Animosity" by The Warning. They have an animated one (with I'm the Grim Reaper from WEBTOON) and a really great live version (from their show at Teatro Metropolitan).

Gorillaz still seems super-new to me, but I'm 55 and I've been listening to them since way back. Still sound super-fresh, some of the funnest dance music ever. That being said, if you have ever listened to "Britpop" from the nineties (think "Oasis") and you haven't listened to Damon Albarns old band Blur, just pull up "Boys and Girls". You won't be sorry.
Blur and Oasis were kinda the mods and rockers of the period, IIRC. A fairly-contentious musical and cultural rivalry, which, interestingly, was something of an "echo in an echo", as they were considered part of the Second British Invasion, just as the rivalry of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles was considered part of the First.
@@michaelccozens It was made to look like that, but it was more contrived; it ended up being more between the labels EMI vs. Sony than Blur vs. Oasis. I think Liam Gallagher is the only one who hasn't grown past it...
