RIP Chris Cornell, Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, and Scott Weiland.
😭 so many lost
And Andrew Wood
I miss this music so much. This was part of my youth.
We need to keep Eddie Vedder safe
I think Jason was just enjoying the stroll down memory avenue more than he was trying to get the most correct.
You got that right... Plus, trying to get my feeble brain to remember all that stuff 😂
@@thisbejasonm not the feeble brain! Your arch nemesis too? 🤣
Yo he & his son are underrated reactors we hardly see them 🥺
Haley always surprises me - she has such good taste in all of these music videos
The guy saying Gavin Rossdale is too pretty to be grunge clearly never looked at Layne Staley, Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell, Kurt Cobain or Stone Gossard.
It hurt my soul when he wrote „man in a box“
We lost some really great artists from the 90s. It is sad. RIP to all of them. You may not be here anymore but your music lives on
Jason is back! He was so good in bands last time! Can't wait to see how he will do!
Alexandra and Allyson impressed me by their knowledge! They know so much about these bands and what the members did!
Danke schoen!
One person failing the make eye contact challenge.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow, I'm impressed by the knowledge this group has! Great job all!
Haley's underboob had me distracted. Junior high and high school were filled with these songs. Still listening to this day! Had such a crush on Gavin...
We need more 90s alt rock
They all drove home listening to a 90s grunge playlist
Grunge was a magical time, they all knew each other,Andy Wood and Chris Cornell were roomates. So many of them are gone now..friggin addictions man
@@nickerickson7324 Chris Cornell had several prescription drugs in his system when he hanged himself in a Detroit hotel room. The singer had Naloxone (Narcan), Butalbital (sedative), Lorazepam (Ativan), Pseudoephedrine (decongestant) and barbiturates in his system at the time of death. Ok,the hanging killed him if you wanna split hairs, but the drugs played as big a part of it as the makshift noose did.
5:00 I still don't understand how he is familar with all of these bands from that era but is like "I never heard of Hole" like it's some underground band. 🤣
These are the type of Reacts I like to watch....
this is my dream to have somebody ask me questions about grunge bands i swear i’ve been preparing for this the past 3 yesrs
Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Temple of the Dog, Stone Temple Pilots, Mother Love Bone, L7, Mad Season, Babes in Toyland and so on
Nirvana?
I wish they would have played a Mad Season song because I bet several of them would have guessed it was Alice In Chains.
Screaming Trees too 😊
Malfunkshun
Mother Love Bone
Green River
Melvins
TAD
Nirvana
Alice in Chains
Soundgarden
Pearl Jam
Screaming Trees
Mudhoney
Temple of the Dog
Mad Season
Awesome to see a Mother Love Bone shoutout on a channel like this! More love for them!🤌
the amount of flannels in this video lmao
Quite on purpose
90s Seattle rock bands leeeeeeeeets goooooo!
Big Empty is one of my favorite songs of STP.
I grew up 40 miles away from where the bass player for Pearl Jam was born and raised, and he recently went to my hometowns skatepark and cleaned it up
I saw Bush in concert when they opened up for Nickelback back in 2012 and they were awesome! They played Come Together by the Beatles and I had really great seats at that concert. We were on the second level of the DCU Center in Worcester and you could see the stage and feel the heat off the pyrotechnics Nickelback had throughout the show. They even had a stage that flew across the whole stadium. I saw them with my parents and my cousin. I still have the Tshirt from that night.
Glad I was in high school in the 90s we had such awesome music
More of these music challenges please!
A+ video!
Awesome topic and execution!
Impressive how well they know Grunge!
Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, Audioslave - Chris Cornell was incredible
Scott Weiland, too, with STP & Velvet Revolver
And, of course, Kurt Cobain was the shortest-lived of the three but a great voice/lyricist (and still prefer his rendition of The Man Who Sold The World... sorry, Bowie).
come as you are brought tears to my eyes😭
I have lived up to this moment, the best moment in the history of music was covered on this wonderful channel, also in so original way!
the guy that said he "was gonna get high as a kite"... funny, but I'm pretty sure he already was hehehe
23 and got all but 2 of these and I'm happy to say my parents raised me right on all of these guys
Congratulations on 20 million subscribers🎉
Bravo to Nicholas for winning the Try Not to Look Challenge!
Lmao nah he looked alot 🤣🤣🤣
Chris Cornell was a vocal GOD
Silverchair was missing in the video.
Silverchair is from my home town here in Australia
Man, I just wanna hang out w all of the reactors in this video lol
Drinking game time. Take a shot every time Nick sneaks a peek
😂
Finally a good episode with quality songs.
There were definitely some good bands from this era and for me STP was my favorite.
Anyone else yelling the answers at the screen?
My mouth dropped. Htf did he guess black hole sun so freaking fast. Impressive. I was still trying to place the voice.
I got it almost right away too.
Black hole sun is one of my favorite songs.
Soundgarden are just amazing :)
Nicholas is the first reactor i've heard say he plans to get high as a kite later... I wanna puff one with my dude!
Jayse lits it up too
How you gonna not get the Nirvana song when you’re literally wearing a Nirvana shirt 🤦🏻♀️😂
Average Nirvana shirt wearer
I work at a high school & the trend right now is rock/classic rock shirts. Most of them couldn't name 3 songs from the bands on their shirts
Obviously those are clothes provided by production...
They dressed them like "Halloween like" Rock Stars when they reacted to Classic Rock bands on another video...
Stone temple pilots were absolutely the best. The solo black shots in glycerene was a concert in Atlanta at the fox theater. I was there that night. Bush, hum, and the toadies
Let's go GRUNGE NEVER DIE
Alexandra went full grunge-punk 🖤
Dude couldn’t keep his eyes off black top
Each two-some know eachother clown 🤡
What does that have to do with anything? lmaoo doesn’t make my statement not true.
@@elopez5707Doesn't change the fact that lying is a sin and that you know exactly what you meant by that statement.
Those are faker than a Monopoly bill... xD
Can you blame him? Jajajaj
When I first started listening to rock I didnt like grunge but Pearl Jam made me love it.
fun fact? I guess. The Courtney Love answer for Hole could've actually been answered as Faith No More as well. She was the lead singer for a bit I wanns say BEFORE Mike Patton was brought on,
Great video! Love grunge music!
I think nicholas is on another try not to challenge 🫣🫣🫣🫣
And he lost 😂
He lost A LOT!
🎈🎈👈🏻🤣
the almost all wear flannel shirts
One of the greatest things i ever saw was the year glycerine came out the mtv spring break was in the bahamas. It started raining and the bands prior were getting shocked and most of the band bush refused to play while it was raining. But nope Gavin rothsdale grabs his guitar plugs in and by himself plays and sings glycerine while getting lightly electrocuted. You can tell by his voice he was straining a bit but it turned out to be a very powerful performance that became historical.
Music GRUNGE IMMORTAL......
Hungry by Temple of the Dog 😂
My favorite genre of music has always been grunge/alternative rock so this was really fun!
What about Silverchair ?
They are the best gen with great music
Excuse you, there was no Screaming Trees in there 😢
Can't believe they put Courtney love in this. I still think she killed Kurt
I was actually about to say that lol. Screaming Trees are awesome
Not a lot people know who Screaming Trees are.
@@TheOGgUeRiLlaMoDe seriously stupid. Courtney is one of THE most prominent faces and names in the movement. People know Hole and don’t know who Temple of the Dog, Alice In Chains or Screaming Trees are.
Glad L7 got some attention
I know L7 from gta San Andreas 😂
Such a good vlog 😊can't wait for your sabrina one ❤I'm going to see her tomorrow xx
My favorite genre of music. No contest
Great video
Love the Taylor Hawkins shirt!
When people say punk and grunge in the same sentence, punk and hardcore punk were two of many stylistic origins of grunge.
The song they're playing in the beinning is "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" by Arctic Monkeys, released in 2005, so so much for your credibility
U saved the best band for last TY
Glycerine was written about Aussie rocker Suzie DeMarchi, who had been in a relationship with Gavin Rossdale.
I was born during the Grunge era so I know a lot of this from my older brothers listening to it and seeing it on Much Music!
I see everyone "accidentally" picked up their favorite flannel....except 4 1 person lol...Great game was!!! Thx!
Guess I better brush up on my L7, that's the only one I missed.
Their best known song is Shitlist.
It seems like this video has been edited to remove a question about Hole?
Hole!
Is not grunge
@@presidentgarfield Grunge was always a loose term. I think if you remove the need to be from Washington, they fit the terms, as do STP, Soul Asylum, Veruca Salt. They aren't post-grunge like Collective Soul and Bush at the least
I'm glad about it... I hope she gets removed too... Lol
I noticed that too! Why’d they do that did Courtney do something? Lmao
L7 are infamous here in the UK for their lead singer/guitarist showing her minge on live TV show The Word. You can see it here on UA-cam, if you're that way inclined. 😉
Every time I think of The Word, I see vulva…
Still waiting for a react to Deathcore or a "try to guess the lirycs" with Deathcore bands 😂😂😂
I REALLY want'em ta react ta Shinedown
Good taste
This was an awesome upload. Just loved it.
Without Melvins?
Oh, come on...
No grunge, they are sludge metal.
@@itschavez115 yeah, but no.
The Melvins started their band as a Punk band actually, and as their music skills are develop more and more, they try another music genre then do experiment with that.
Melvins are so recognize-able have a Seattle Sounds type and inspired many band like Nirvana and Soundgarden. And yeah as like as you said, they have been claimed to become a father of Sludge Metal.
Even i know hole. "Dont make me over"
Grunge was the last true great era of rock..
Bring more of it😃😃 grunge 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Should’ve asked what song is made honoring Andrew wood on the 1992 album dirt😔
Almost every song
Would
Dugmeat at 2:20 has a Nirvana shirt on.
Clothes provided by production... obviously...
They all dress the same except the "streeper like" one...
RIP Allyson
Nooo I watched the entire video waiting for Silverchair to come up
Same! Tomorrow is awesome
Seattle, Australia
Can grunge musicians move to Newcastle? that's really amazing
This was fun
Amei o canal!!! Ganharam um seguidor brasileiro 😂
Hell yeah Allyson!! 😍
I loved Alexandra!
R.I.P. Andy 'Landrew' Wood (Would - AIC) So R.I.P. Layne Staley and Mike Starr, Chris Cornell, Kurt Cobain, Scott Weiland, Shannon Hoon, Mark Lanegan, Chester Bennington - (cuz' Grey Daze) and others. These legends live forever!!!✌🕊💜
That blonde is just a pro
5:34 dude where your eyes at? We all know she is pretty. :D
Can you blame the man 😂😂😂
She in the Nirvana shirt is much more cute
@@user-mx5ey4xj9reww
Every single person, aside from leather chick, is wearing plaid. So nineties.
They likely told them or or gave them this
@@taintedlife2618 I’m sure they did. But we also had theme days for homecoming or something during middle and high school too. Just figured it was the old public school try, ya know? Oh, yeah I have a shirt that technically fits. That kinda thing, you know?
Obviously those are clothes provided by production...
They made them dress like "Halloween like" Rock Stars when they reacted to Classic Rock bands...
"Would you like to know more?" Watch "hype!" and "1991: The Year Punk Broke"
Hype! is amazing...👍🏻
No Melvins, No peace
They are not grunge, they are sludge metal
@@itschavez115 Their drummer played on the first Nirvana record, Kurt Cobain was a roadie for them.
@@DerGeek but that doesnt mean that they are a grunge band.
Is grunge juice from the muddy banks of the wishkah?
Babes in Toyland was one of the best all female grunge bands ever
I love the fact that Eddie Vedder wasn’t know when Temple of the Dog’s debut album came out. Some of the members of the band were members of Mother Love Bone and the album was released as a tribute to their former singer that had passed away. I think Pearl Jam was together at the time but had not released their debut album yet.
@@petesmart1983 Eddie Vedder was never a member of Mother Love Bone, Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard were the only Pearl Jam members that were on Mother Love Bone
@@johnnyc0882 Chris Cornell was Andy Wood's roommate if memory serves me right. That album, as well as 'Would' of Alice in Chains were dedicated to him.
I like many genres of music, and recognize songs but never know the name and most of the time don't know the band. I yelled out loud "Hole" When I actually knew one right away.
I would have gotten all of these as I know grunge really well.
It is great to see Alexandra again in a video....please have her in more vids
