A fine Dr. Hook song. I have it on an album from 1976. Written by Shel Silverstein. Also sung by Willie Nelson and the Statler Brothers and 40 million others.
Haven't listened to this yet, but I'm definitely becoming a fan of Amber Digby. I still don't know if she's "Red-Dirt" Country or Mainstream artist? She's pretty and seems very genuine. Not a phony. Very old school Country. Wonderful voice. Not a product of "Auto-toning". She can really croon. She reminds me of somebody, maybe a combination of people, but I can't quite put my finger on who that might be? A couple Mark Chesnutt songs I'd like to here, or actually Kevin Fowler songs as he wrote them both, but Mark has also recorded them are "Beer Bait and Amo" and The Lord Loves The Drinking' Man". Both are pretty hilarious.
Thanks JasonH for this request from Mark & Amber. I will have to see if I can find a better version because the audio wasn't good enough to properly evaluate. Thanks Don for the reaction
I heard this song years ago performed by Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show. I have to say I prefer their version, but it might be because of the audio quality
That there's real country music right there. Its a shame it will never be heard on mainstream radio

I love this version I still remember the first time I heard Waylons original version as a kid

@jcat__ This was the link Jason provided, as I’m guessing the first part of the video in which Mark and Amber were talking was part of the appeal.
@@RockN2Country I kinda figured that. I just meant I couldn't hear so I couldn't be objective
