I could totally hear Joey influences all over the place, even when you didn't play the parts exactly like the record, and furthermore, I could hear many influences from Slipknot's London 2002 performance, which is one of their most legendary sets...great times indeed! The fact that he was out of pocket at times doesn't mean shit because of the fact that he so effortlessly came back into the pocket once he noticed his mistake. That is some serious masterwork. Every drummer falls out of pocket eventually, but only the pros can just fall right back into it without missing more than a beat.
Ive seen a few of these prodigy’s play and usually there’s loads of flare but they struggle to develop good time at a young age. I thing the most impressive thing with this outside the incredible technical process is how well he keeps time. This kid plays the drums like full grown man. And look how much power he puts in to his strokes!! Djises Christ almighty save us all when this kid hits puberty…
