I remember Caleb's dad saying they'd reached out to the band and got invited to one of Slipknot's gigs. According to legend, they invited Caleb onstage and he played with Slipknot live.

Also fun fact there was a video of him air drumming at a Slipknot show in London that went viral on twitter a few years back. Long story short Slipknot saw it and brought him on stage and he got to hang out with them for a day.

One thing that really made Joey special is that he truly loved the fans. I think about Mike Portnoy's twitter post when he heard about Joey passing, he knew we lost a real gem.
I hope this kid pursues his talents and keeps Joey's memory and influence alive and well.

This track really highlights what an awesome composer Joey Jordison was. I remember hearing those linear fills for the first time at ozzfest in 98 or 99 when they debuted.
The next 2 years this disc didn't come out of our cars. Slipknot on subwoofers in a 90's Camaro is how I grew up. Cool to see this kid rocking this track 20+ years later.
In another 10 years this kid is going to be insane.

I was at both. In 98, I went to 3 shows. In NC Raleigh, Charlotte, and if memory serves, Columbia SC was the 3rd one. Tool was there. In Raleigh, Danny totally brutalized the intro to Eulogy. Like he did the one thing you NEVER do! He stopped. And started over! Not on topic, but your comment brought up some good memories for me.
Joey is literally grabbing everyone around him showing them this kid! Im just as blown away as you!
The only up and coming drummer to ever get Joey's endorsement. According to Joey's partner he was proud of Caleb and saw him as his heir, his legacy. This is a big deal because Joey is the most influential drummer there's been since Bonham passed away and he only co signed one up and coming drummer. This kid. No one since Bonzo has inspired so many drummers to pick up the sticks and to only endorse Caleb is something special. I mean Joey's last public post was about Caleb and the last public picture of Joey is the one he has with Caleb. That's some passing of the torch type stuff.
As good as the other kids are like Yoyoka and Nandi, they don't play anything as complicated as he does and he's half their age and half their size. He's truly something special. The best kid drummer there's been.
There's only one thing that beats this video. His Dream Theater cover. Probably the best video I've ever seen from any prodigy.
That double kick was given to him by Jay Weinberg from Slipknot. It's like he's destined for greatness.

I have discovered Caleb just a week ago, by complete and utter chance, when i got to see the drum cover for "Surfacing" he posted on his FB channel (he has a FB and a UA-cam channel) and my reaction was identical to yours, i was completely floored, i couldn't believe my eyes and ears. I am not a drum specialist and not a drummer either, so i can't analyze the technical parts of his playing drums, but what i did notice was something i thought could never ever see, and that is Joey's style of playing, at least partially. I saw a glimpse of Joey's sparkle of genius in his playing. And not only in playing, but even when he practices on his drums, i get a strange feeling he resembles Joey when he was practicing.
If you check out his FB page, you will see that he has a lot of drum covers from various bands, but when he plays the older Slipknot songs....:) it's something else.
Also from his FB, you will find out that Joey did know about Caleb, in fact he was in frequent contact with his parents, there's even a photo of him at his laptop talking to Caleb and his mother through Skype. The photo was posted by his parents after Joey died. I can't even imagine how heart-broken Caleb must have been when he heard the news, to lose a hero at such a young age is pretty dramatic, yet he managed to go on.
Also, this autumn, in September, on Jay Weinberg's birthday, Caleb was invited by Slipknot to join them on stage, when they had a concert in Birmingham (Caleb is probably from Birmingham), there are some photos posted with Caleb and Jay on stage. He received great acknowledgement from the band.
He has a bright future ahead!

I truly believe he’s a legend in the making, his snare was given to him by Jay Weinberg.
My personal fave he does is Sulfur by Slipknot. It’s great to see someone so happy in what they’re doing. Seeing him for the first time made me buy an electronic kit to learn on, and I’m in my mid 50’s 🤘🏻🤘🏻

This is amazing. I’ve been playing for 30+ years and every time I hear a young kid jam like this, it makes me want to give up haha.
On a side note, it’s awesome seeing Stick Control in the background. I’ll go back to that every couple years to remind myself how hard it is playing the first page accurately.

Calab is awesome I watch him a couple of times a day. You can tell he really loves drumming. He is mind blowing, unbelievable how talented he is! I just happened to run across one of his videos and I am hooked, this kid is a phenomenal drummer. I just love him. A star is born!!!

Kid definitely can and will improve with time and he's got a solid foundation going for him. He's doing great and he'll only get better. Sure both Joey and Jay are proud to see someone upholding the legacy of the band like this.
I've been following Caleb for a little bit now he's been doing Slipknot covers since he was like 4. He is amazing as it is with just a FRACTION of the kit that Joey had I would be terrified to see what he could do with a full set.

I immediately went to his channel and watched his “Left Behind,” cover, wearing a Joey-mask inspired face paint setup and Slipknot jumpsuit.
Andrew, let’s do what we can to give this kid attention to the guys in Slipknot and see if they’ll bring him up on stage sometime when they tour near him, they’re great guys - and that could give an upcoming musician a whole new level of inspiration.

On Caleb's YT channel, there is a video in which he plays on a stage. If I remember correctly, it was the opening of a festival and he was only 4 years old. Only 4 !!!
He also took the stage with Jay Weinberg at the end of a concert. You can find some really cool video and photos of that day.
Slipknot already personally know him. They invited him backstage and he has a photo with the whole band whilst dressed as Jay. Jay Weinberg follows him on instagram and gave him the double kick pedal.
