I work in healthcare, I’m a respiratory therapist. I see death on a daily business. He couldn’t predict a pandemic when he made this. Death is a part of life, and makeup is just makeup. Yes he may have had this pallet planned for a long time but he is in control/ has a major input about when HIS products are released. He even stated in his emails to Sebastian that he has already postponed/ cancelled the production or release of certain products which only highlights the fact that he has control over when his products are released. Jeffree naming his pallet cremated is one thing, but to release said pallet during a pandemic where certain countries are having to cremate hundreds of people in mass amounts every single day is another. It is insensitive no matter what way one may look at it.

But this pallet is so useful if anyone who does their make up EVERY DAY says they don’t use a cream shade or a grey or a tan neutral I just can’t imagine going to work and using wild colors every single day. But this is breathtaking and it was supposed to be released before all of this happened I see the art I see how I can do dozens and dozens of make up looks and I’m ready to go!!!

Looking at it in the business perspective, it would have taken months or years for this pallet to be made and perfected. The virus came out of “nowhere” and I don’t think that it would be smart to delay the launch, because of expiration dates, timing, etc,.

Even without the virus though I think people still might’ve had some issues with it because it’s not exactly subtle when approaching the death theme (which some people like but I get why people would be offended). Plus it’s over priced for how simplistic the colour scheme is, I think a palette surrounding Halloween or the Day of the Dead would be way better. At least then he could go with a gothic theme whilst offending less people, and whilst having a more interesting colour palette. But idk, just my opinion 🤷🏻♀️

His palettes are pretty "timeless" in the sense that he doesn't really hop on trends. As far as the price, it's about the quality of the eye shadows, not the color scheme. His 18 pan palettes are on average $2.89 per shade and his 24 pan palettes are $2.42 per shade, so you save just over 40 cents per shade. The packaging is more simplistic, but some people like the more concise packaging. You're 100% entitled to your own opinion, but I'm just pointing out some stats. Have a great day!

Jeffree Star is despicable for many reasons... I just want to answer about Grey colours in general and skin tones. Every colour can have a cool or a warm version, also grey. The compatibility of a color with skin depends on undertones. In skin there are mixed undertones, cool undertones and warm undertones in any shade. A person can be extra pale but warm or mixed undertoned and another person can be very melaninated but cool undertoned. By the way, makeup can be mixed to obtain the desired shade. Depending on the way we use we can possibly use nearly anything. I even have concealers and foundations very different from my color and I use it for eyebrows, eyeshadow base, contouring, blush...
I think that the people offended have no idea about how the makeup industry works. The name and palette itself was created way before Covid ever started. They are acting like he chose the theme because of the pandemic but that simply isn't so or it wouldnt be ready to be released this soon. It takes a long time to actually produce these products, let alone everything else that actually goes into the process as well.

Yes he may have had this pallet planned for a long time but he is in control/ has a major input about when HIS products are released. He even stated in his emails to Sebastian that he has already postponed/ cancelled the production or release of certain products which only highlights the fact that he has control over when his products are released. Jeffree naming his pallet cremated is one thing, but to release said pallet during a pandemic where certain countries are having to cremate hundreds of people in mass amounts every single day is another. It is insensitive no matter what way one may look at it.

Looking at it in the business perspective, it would have taken months or years for this pallet to be made and perfected. The virus came out of “nowhere” and I don’t think that it would be smart to delay the launch, because of expiration dates, timing, etc,.

Even without the virus though I think people still might’ve had some issues with it because it’s not exactly subtle when approaching the death theme (which some people like but I get why people would be offended). Plus it’s over priced for how simplistic the colour scheme is, I think a palette surrounding Halloween or the Day of the Dead would be way better. At least then he could go with a gothic theme whilst offending less people, and whilst having a more interesting colour palette. But idk, just my opinion 🤷🏻♀️

His palettes are pretty "timeless" in the sense that he doesn't really hop on trends. As far as the price, it's about the quality of the eye shadows, not the color scheme. His 18 pan palettes are on average $2.89 per shade and his 24 pan palettes are $2.42 per shade, so you save just over 40 cents per shade. The packaging is more simplistic, but some people like the more concise packaging. You're 100% entitled to your own opinion, but I'm just pointing out some stats. Have a great day!

I genuinely think Jeffrer was trying to come up with something unique, I think the name for the pallet was meant to be unique and sadly just wasn’t interpreted the way Jeffrey wanted. Still I think the shades are very nice, I think you can wear it for anything.

Jeffree Star is despicable for many reasons... I just want to answer about Grey colours in general and skin tones. Every colour can have a cool or a warm version, also grey. The compatibility of a color with skin depends on undertones. In skin there are mixed undertones, cool undertones and warm undertones in any shade. A person can be extra pale but warm or mixed undertoned and another person can be very melaninated but cool undertoned. By the way, makeup can be mixed to obtain the desired shade. Depending on the way we use we can possibly use nearly anything. I even have concealers and foundations very different from my color and I use it for eyebrows, eyeshadow base, contouring, blush...
I think that the people offended have no idea about how the makeup industry works. The name and palette itself was created way before Covid ever started. They are acting like he chose the theme because of the pandemic but that simply isn't so or it wouldnt be ready to be released this soon. It takes a long time to actually produce these products, let alone everything else that actually goes into the process as well.

I supported him for so long and tried to make excuses, but now he’s just stale and gross. I just wanna say that he admitted he started making this palette in 2019, way before the pandemic. I AM NOT disregarding the deaths of the pandemic because this is really serious.
