Honestly people would do ANYTHING to get James down. Like it’s not funny or cool anymore. Stop taking everything so serious and stop making drama; I get it he’s made a lot of mistakes in the past, but he’s human too; but this, this ain’t it.
I genuinely got pissed off at the replies. Not a single soul brought up racism, skin color, bigotry, ect. in the show. I mean, when a MUA does make a video, your quick to make a meme or make a joke about it, but when the MUA does the same... unacceptable? And what makes this SUPER irritating is that when racism/colorist comment ARE made by creaters, your quiet...
Legit, its 6 people how could it be any more diverse? And the challenge was funny. And james has cleared up his scandals people just hate to see an annoying gay boy succeeding.
yooo frrr. i honestly didn’t like james charles but when i saw his show... i honestly started to like him more... i feel like after the show he changed for the better🤷🏻♀️
Yes, they are dangerous for our society. They live in their world of fantasia... and try to push their utopia over the reality. Some of their fight is genuine but normalizing racism towards white people is not for example.
@@EmikoEriko I feel like Twitter really displays the horribleness in this world. It's definitely the most toxic app in my opinion. Someone new is cancelled each week and they are normalizing hate :( there's too many double standards
That’s because People who make apology videos, make them After the internet makes it big, after its spread throughout people, pretty sure if a low amount of people called them out, they would probably just ignore the issue and “move on”. Instead of addressing the issues right away, they pretend like nothing happens until people call them out.
Joanie C I think you misunderstood, I’m not talking about James, I’m talking about most people who throw “Apologies” as a way to stop getting hate for something they don’t really feel sorry about.
i don’t understand why everyone is saying he is making fun of racism apology videos. WHERE WAS RACE EVER MENTIONED?? the apology videos he got the contestants to do we’re on things like ‘not turning up to a meet and greet’, ‘editing photos’ etc i’m sorry but ppl rlly do try and bring race into everything
The racism troop is always on the hunt to make the white race evil. Sorry not sorry, it's true. Everything HAS to be about race nowadays. And I swear the more people don't care about race, the harder these snowflakes reach for some form of racism.
justa randomer its was just a silly fun challenge anyways, like the all the scandals given to the artists were satire anyways. Idk wtf is going on in people’s head anymore
I’m actually not the biggest James Charles fan, but can we all grow a sense of humour and just calm down. It’s a make up show, and it was a little challenge with some fake scandals which required a fake apology, it really isn’t that deep, just chill, if it doesn’t sit right with you, then don’t watch it, there’s no need to drag him through the mud everytime he says something you don’t like, he’s a human being at the end of the day, the only reason he keeps getting picked on is because he has a following. I can guarantee if we put a mic on anyone and listened to everything they said in a day, then they’d also be branded as problematic. This community needs to grow up
Yes I watched this episode without people realizing that they were offended by it and I thought it was honestly funny, I don’t even like James Charles but his show is pretty good
Ok I'm black and this is ridiculous. I don't even like James Charles and I can see that all of this was just a big joke. Race has nothing to do with this.
@@itsjust_meh929 James made a lot of mistakes but I don't get it when people try to cancel him and play the race card when race has nothing to do with that. There are plenty of influencers, UA-camrs and public figures who are racist and discriminatory. People should cancel them not a boy who made a joke on his show about crying in front of a camera. 🤦♀️
Giorgia Massellani Ikr People love trying to hate on the littlest things. It’s like James can’t even say 3 words because these snowflakes would be up his ass trying to find something he did “wrong” just to hate💀💀💀
Giovanna Fransesca they only had one white female (who is Hispanic) and honestly there’s no way they could have chosen her because they were already called out for not being diverse enough because they didn’t have a black male or a darker skinned black female. Diversity should mean everyone gets an equal shot.
This is so stupid, he wasn’t gonna cast the show based on race just so he could make it look diverse. The show was cast on talent, so if you didn’t have talent, you didn’t get cast. It’s pretty simple but y’all are too quick to cancel James.
Charlie Rogers but there’s definitely a shit ton of talented dark skinned MUAs he could’ve put in the show. I’ve seen so many of them do a casting call video and ALL of them were overlooked
Dee Hall yea, but it isn’t his job to include like 1 of everything to not get canceled. can y’all calm down? he doesn’t have to include a gay, lesbian, asian, black person. it’s so annoying since this is a competition and they choose who they thought were best for the show, so calm down.
Dee Hall but he chooses who he wants like ? Yes they are so many else talented Muas but it’s just about talented not race or colour and I mean Trashme is the BEST ARTIST so far she’s amazing 🙏🏻🦋
@@lauragiannoni1081 talent is the only main criterion here, love. no one cares if you're white, black, asian, Latino, unicorn, purple, or gay, if you have talent, you have potential. you have dedication? you have potential.
@FCN_ Art every one has scandals, did you forget Shane has done blackface and Jeffree has been racist as well. James was like 18 at the point, he screwed up and when he realized he took it down. He also apologized after the apology wasn't well received. Let him live. Why can't people let other's learn from their mistakes?
I’m not a fan of James Charles at all, but he purposely made a point of giving them MINOR “scandals” for the challenge, and not anything actually serious like racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. I do think it was a challenge that was in poor taste given his long history of apologies, but I really don’t think he meant to poke fun at the more serious ones that have been made in the past. People are just bored rn & looking for the drama in everything
That's basically my take. He didn't trivialize the big issues, but it's definitely a bold choice to poke fun at apology videos given how problematic the beauty industry is and has been.
Shikamarugirl7 I mean when you become an influencer and have to apologize you have to act a certain way for the people to see if you are genuine. It doesn't matter if you are genuine on the inside if you don't look genuine on the outside then no one will believe you. So it is a good thing to practice that for bigger influencers. That's how I take it anyways
"Cancel culture" was originally a positive way to speak out about serious issues with people in position of power and to hold them accountable, like the dozens of rape and sexual assault victims, POC and LGBT being discriminated against in jobs, housing, and services. But then came along the drama ghouls and ruined a very important tool for minorities... I wouldn't be surprised if 75% of them are out of touch bored white kids... Now every social media figure especially racists have this out "It's just cancel culture" to deny accountability.
I'm not racist, but everything is a race thing, they were based off skill and potential...Brittany and Gabriel did not look white or all white. He had guest that were people of color too! He also had lgbtq members as the contestents and guest.
Thank u sm for saying this like I'm black and it pained me to see that tweet. Like do ppl not understand that every race can be racist, or is that too hard to understand???
I just want to make sure I’m hearing this correctly: HALF the cast were people of color, and they had an equal amount of men and women, and yet people are complaining it’s not diverse enough??? I-
I think people want ALL representative in one show: Woman, color, race, gender, orientation, etc. Like, I get wanting more representation, but the show wasn't lacking it! It just more excuse to hate the guy....
Okay the thing is for the show, it was scripted because those influencers didn’t actually get into scandals. James was testing their ability to create a genuine apology video. But they can’t make apology videos without a scandal so James assigned them one. I don’t see the problem.. people are getting pissed over nothing. James Charles literally did nothing wrong in this situation and people are trying to cancel him I-
Yea... i saw him on how to make apology video at youtube original days ago..... i feel like youtube beauty community are fake like plastic surgery to the face.
I don’t get how “representation” has ANYTHING to do with a competition. It’s supposed to be about talent, not race or gender. Why tf do people always have to make a negative out of EVERYTHING
Ikr? Statistically there should automatocally be the same percentage of every minority in the competition as there is in the population (of course there are only 6 contestants but for example there were 3 girls and 3 boys ať the beginning which is statistically acurate since aproximately 50% of the population is male/female). So trying to be more inclusive in a competition reality show would only lead to positive discrimination.
Lucie Pospichal “I like your work better but I already chose my white cis female so I’m gonna go with someone yes talented but that I don’t like as much as you because he’s a minority” America summed up in a concept. Y’all will learn how to live peacefully together only when you’ll stop being so sensitive about everything and when you’ll realize that we are all the same, regardless of our gender or ethnicity. Stop bringing out race 24/7, that’s seriously messed up
That's what they want him to do, but that sounds more racist to me. Like picking someone to be on your show just because of their skin color? When is it ever gonna be enough for these people? Half of the constants are POC, half are women, and half are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Apparently that isn't inclusive enough lmao.
Corinne don’t you think it’s more racist for people to not be picked because of skin their race? You have nothing to worry about because everywhere you go you are represented. That’s not the case for people of color. This isn’t to invalidate your opinion but I think you need to think about it from a different perspective
Aint no bias just bias wreckers it’s more racist (this is all coming from a full black girl) I understand wanting my race more represented but that is not the purpose of the show the purpose is to give opportunities for people with that talent James shouldn’t have to suck up and give less opportunities for people with the most talent and it would’ve been nice to see some more people that looked like me on the show but it is about talent and there is gonna be many more opportunities for people in the next season James made this show to show underrated artist not to suck up and go for whatever the internet wants he never made this show just to show off the lighter complexion and whites just imagine someone going “HEY let’s pick them because they are darker skin and that will give us a good rep” even if the person does not have a lot of talent as the other person
literally everyone jokes about makeup youtuber apologies, but when someone who had to suffer through one (which we still are unsure if the situation was true or not) its controversial??
I’m sorry, but it’s about what skill caught his eye not about finding diverse mua’s, this is succhh a stretch to make this about racism, but if you really wanna talk about minorities. Women ARE a minority, Black people ARE a minority, Mexican people ARE a minority, Hispanics and Latinos ARE a minority, Trans people are a minority, Gay people ARE a minority, they literally had so much diversity!
people need to realize there where only 6 contestants. The representation was not the best, But it was okay since he chose people for their talent. If there were 20 contestants, I would see the problem.
technically since white people are the majority in america, there should be more white people in the group if you want a representation of the united states.
i’m sorry but everyone just tries to cancel james every chance they get to. remember the mugshot trend? everyone else did that but when james did it y’all went after him, give the guy a break
The mugshot trend was taken out of proportion. People are acting like this is the first time bruises etc and things like mugshots are being used solely for 'aesthetic' and vain purposes. The grunge aesthetic and some gothic aesthetics- along with gore and such elements implying violence etc being used in even mainstream pop culture (for narrative and sometimes for sole aEsthetic) is a completely normal occurrence. Just because something offends you doesn't make you right or necessarily a victim (cancel culture and unjustifiably offended sjws smh). This tiktok trend was stupid and shallow, like most trends there, but it's truly not 'harmful' to the degree of such an unnecessary outrcry.
As a person of colour, I find it ridiculous when some people of color feel so entitled to representation. Don't get me wrong, I think representation is very important but at the end of the day, contestants should be chosen on the basis of their talent and how hard they work. Period. It's ridiculous to see people complaining when FOUR out of six of them are people of color. Just because two of them are "white passing" it doesn't mean they're not people of color. Grow up.
James: I’m going to make a show for struggling makeup artist that focuses on and celebrates who they are and where they came from while also giving them the recognition they deserve. And imma make it completely free so that everyone can afford it no matter what paycheck they/their family receives. It’s completely based on skills and personality only. (And *SPOILER ALERT* Ashly won. Which kinds proves to y’all he’s not only cheering on white ppl) Twitter: *ExCuSe Me ThAt’S RacIsT!*
IKR!! I mean, people on the internet who think they’re it and are _always_ trying to nit-pick at the littlest things nowadays. Like, it’s really not a big deal 😂
I don’t know why every single thing that is released today has an fbi analysis of the exact skin color and gender of everyone involved. This series is completely free and he picked makeup artists he likes. He doesn’t HAVE to dig to include 10 shades of people in HIS show. James picked some small makeup artists that he likes for their talent alone, it isn’t that deep Edit: I’m an Indian American. You don’t see me complaining about our representation 🤦🏾♀️
Pandora Chiles bro shut up and get over it. He chose people for their talent. It doesn’t matter if ur white balk asian or native. It’s just about talent and nothing else. If there was more poc it wouldn’t matter too. It’s just about talent and not color or gender
I- I dont get why everyone is attacking him. People just look for drama at this point. Omg he did a fun little acting challenge? Ok? Cool. He didnt attack or hurt anyone in it and everyone knows that most influencers apologies are fake anyways. Get over it. It was a silly little challenge.
@@lori7712 it's that his mass stans don't ever fault him for a thing moreover every other top UA-camr with shady things it seems. Maybe they will dwindle over time as more comes out about him but so far after so much nasty shitty things he has done and said over the years they still think he can do no wrong which I find strange. I probably notice it more because I see zero appeal in the guy, his past scene music that he calls punk which is blasphemy, his makeup, etc. If anything I'd give him credit for people liking his makeup. I'm also his age and was born and raised in Seattle and that Kurt chest piece really irks me cause Cobain would hate that mofo.
okay, this is actually so annoying, I don’t care for James as a creator, but seriously? Don’t people get bored for going after him for everything he does? Actually pisses me off
50 shades of wheeze not trying to come off as annoying just trying to help, but it’s “I couldn’t care less” not “I could care less” because that would imply that you do care a bit. Instead, using “I couldn’t care less” would make sense as it is saying that since you already do not care, you could not care less
@FCN_ Art Ok. Let´s talk about the last twelve months. 1. Was accused of being a predator, no proof, turned out to be fake 2. Was baited again and again by straight barely 18 dudes so they could continue with the controversies. 3. Was dragged for Vitamin gummies, told people he was thinking about ending it all last year 4. Dragged on tiktok for a trend but is the only one to be called out 5. Jefree made another on the drama last year 6. Now this bullshit Are you trying to tell me he was at fault for being called a predator simply because Jefree could and suffered huge losses.
Hello it’s Me nah y’all ain’t helping... you guys are beating down his character to a pulp! How much can 1 human take? Are you gonna just shove down your “cOnStRuCtIve CriTiciSm” s” down his throat to the point that he kills himself for feeling like he can never do anything right? Bull shit.
Diversity for the sake of diversity isn’t diversity... he chose people on talent and some are white, some are black, some are Hispanic, some are guys, and some are girls... this whole society of trying to “outwoke” everybody and “cancel” people needs to stop. Everybody is for equality obviously but people can’t even make jokes any more, we’re going way to far in the other direction
Talent doenst have a race. Should we take a people of color/transgender/bixesual person over a white heterosexual person because of diversity? I don't think so, this big ass diversity trend is fucked up.
Not everyone is for equality, which is why it's such a touchy subject. But I agree that picking people for the sake of more diversity instead of their talent is a terrible idea. We should create more equal chances for everyone to grow and master a skill, that way diversity should come into every form of media on it's own.
Agreed. I think it’s totally fine to have your own opinion on these apology videos or the show in general, since it has to do something with taste, but when it comes to racism, I feel like rolls are reversed now. There are so many anti-white people out there. Or some people from the LGBTQ scene. I mean, whenever someone says something critical about Nikita Dragun, they are automatically homophobic
omg- you are so correct- its a basic loop hole, shes coming after him for not "involving" the black community, and is talking huge shit about "whITe pEOplE"
Totally what I just ranted about!!! Like wtf bc he says the word Africa he's racist 🙄😒 omg white people live in Africa too dummy so do many other races!!! I bet she would just die if she found out that the white people from Africa are friggin African!!!😂😂😂
I've never been racist EVER!!! My first love was a black guy from the Virgin Islands St. Croix (spelling might be wrong 😝) and we had a beautiful intelligent son together. He (my sons father) had such a beautiful close knit family whom I love dearly. My mother is and always has been a racist and tried her damndest to make me and my siblings racist which it didn't work on me and my sister but unfortunately it did on my brother. Needless to say I don't have a relationship with either of them. So this is why I take racism seriously. So many people just love to throw that word around like it's ok to accuse someone of something so serious? It's not ok nor will it ever be. With that said, I truly feel that the girl coming for James is whole heatedly a full blown racist.
People act like they haven’t done unforgivable things in their life, like everyone is fucking human, i dont understand why they have to hold such a grudge against him. And i get that people just don’t like him, but if they don’t just don’t make a comment and move on with your damn lives.
The GloriousMorious its not our job to make people not hate james. People just need to realize how stupid they look hating on someone who has done absolutely nothing wrong to harm US. The people who hate him are just followers, since others hate him they want to hate him too :/
The forced diversity is awful. As a POC, we are not that irrelevant that we need to be validated all the time, I believe in equality of opportunity and not outcome
Yikes. I agree with everyone that there was nothing about race going on but its a bit weird you announcing you are a POC in a way that implies your opinion represents that of a majority. I saw the show and never thought about diversity because the show has 6 freaking people only due to it pretty much being a test season. The show is great and most people are taking it well but to equate the bigger problem of diversity (which again in my opinion is no way concerned with this show) to people needing to be validated all the time is a bit problematic. Good that you believe in equality of opportunity but that's what people who bring up the issue want too...
mahashweta choudhury keep that same energy with affirmative action when admissions officers admit they need to admit a certain amount of black applicants to fit their “quota”. smh, end up with on average, a lot more under qualified people all in the name of “diversity.” while other POC like asians get thrown under the bus and have to work harder than all other races. i don’t give a shit if my doctor is black white or asian, i care if they’re qualified but they still have these quotes in medical school, unbelievable
i honestly believe that james isn’t racist. he just said a dark joke that many don’t like. i’m not a stan of his or even a fan but can’t the kid catch a break?! yeah he’s white but not all white people are racist, i do believe that some people point out he’s white so they can attack him. ps: for anyone that think i’m white and standing up for him just because he’s white, i’m not white
Ikr? And a LOT of famous UA-camrs have made fun of apology videos and no one bats an eye, and suddenly when JC makes a light joke on them on his show, using very minor scandals, suddenly he's super unsensitive and hypocritical
Internet: *begins slowly fading into non-existence* James Charles: *rips off clothes and does a photoshoot* Jeffree Star: *already halfway through a dramatic tweet* Trasha Paytas: *sits on kitchen floor with camera and cries* Tana: *grabs toothbrush*
James Charles is the internet's scape goat, can we go after actually sexual predators and racist, rather than this sucessful young man who has the platform to raise up smaller creaters and be inclusive before he's ran of the platform.
Facts! I’m not even a James Charles fan- I don’t even like beauty gurus in general, so idk why I’m here, but hearing James Charles constantly get flack for something Jeffree Starr and co™️ would get away with in a blink of an eye is frankly sad. It’s like people forget that he’s *human*. And holy hell- he’s, what, 20? That’s only like 3 years older than me, and I know I’m noT ready to deal with that much criticism; that’s a lot of pressure for someone just coming out of their late teens!
In my opinion: I feel like, no one has an obligation to apologise. James Charles is very well known, meaning MILLIONS of people know of him and follow him. As a human being, he has no obligation to apologise for hurting someone's feelings that he doesn't even know. Morally, yes he should and he did, and the people "affected" should take it or leave it. Yes James is a major influencer, but it is not his fault of someone gets offended or their feelings hurt. He is a person. Everyone acts like they haven't done some fucked up shit, the only difference is, when he fucks up its known by more people. James may love his fans, but that "love" will always be secondary to his friends and family, people who actually know him. Ebola joke is wrong, but I'm pretty sure A LOT more people other than James has made an Ebola joke. Just like how people are making corona jokes, or the WWIII jokes, or any big tragedy that is going on. Just because you don't get the jokes, doesn't mean you were supposed to. Who are you to get offended on someone else behalf? It's like if someone were to make a fat joke to me, I wouldn't want someone I don't even know, that lives thousands to millions of miles away to take my defense. It's not anyone's job to defend a person that is actually not affected whatsoever, if doing so proves your only doingit for the drama. That's the real tea💅 But every opinion is slightly valid.
Agreed. I mean I personally don’t enjoy his content, but that’s just a taste thing. However, the internet has gotten oversensitive and is trying to find some drama literally everything
The James Charles cancel bandwagon is the stupidest thing to happen to the internet. Y'all can bat an eye to Jeffree and Shane being racist/having a racist past but find everyway to try cancel James Charles. Get off Twitter and find another hobby...
@@riv3rss He does something LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE DOES and HE is the one who gets hate for it. You're just one of those people that stayed hating on him for no reason after the stupid tati drama.

twitter: it’s so annoying how WHITE peoples like JAMES says things like hi and gets away with it. like what about the people who speak other languages?
If James were to pick contestants to be more diverse, wouldn't that ultimately be more racist? Because you would be making a decision based on their skin tone, or racial background?
Taurphan Gamonsugosol people like to bitch about everything today so it’s best to do whatever he wants, I don’t even follow the guy or his work but people come for everything these days it’s annoyingly stupid.
this is exactly the kind of controversy he craves and wants. do you really think a show which is a basically a ripoff of every other reality competition show is meant to do anything else? his brand at this point is to be problematic. that's what he knows people will watch his content for. he cares for clicks and viewership, cos that is money in the bank. stop being simpletons.
Why can’t we just leave James alone and appreciate the hard work that went into the show? People will always find something to bitch and complain about and that’s disgusting.
When I watched it, the first thing I thought was that if he is teaching them how to make an apology video, then that means none of the apologies he has made are real, he just made them because people were mad. No one is mad at why the contestants had to make the apology video, but doesn't it seem weird that he was ok with dramatically acting it out? It really brings his character into question.
James is an extremely talented makeup artist and he is giving a chance to build careers for many other talented people...people have just got to leave him alone..
Lily Angel he’s doing nothing but people still hate. He breathes people hate. He blinks people hate. He makes his own show and people hate like let him do something without hate
Skin tone should not be picked over talent. Wouldnt it be even worse if he only picked poc because of their "race"? Wouldnt that be racist? Same with gender, sexuality, everything. Choose people because of their abilities and their talent!!!!
i 100% agree. like yes of course diverse representation in media is wonderful and i only wish there was more of it but it's terrible to choose people solely to meet some kind of "race quota"!!
i am human Yup. I find it funny that people will jsut have diversity for the sake of it and not for talent, as if POC can’t be talented enough to be there.
You have missed the mark. Having a diverse group makes it easier for people to feel represented and seen. Whyte people don't get understand because media is about them.
Just a joke and a bit of social commentary on his part. The “scandals” he gave are so minor (over editing photos) nothing racist or sexist or anything like that. Beauty guru apologies are made fun of so often I think he just wanted to get in on the fun. Not a big deal- the makeup streaming down that one guys face shows it’s just a joke too like nobody would actually go that hard
i think the scandal videos were pretty funny. It’s clear that he meant some influencers make fake apologies and this is how they do it. It’s really not that deep.
Ina So could he have not found dark skinned men and women who are insanely talented with makeup. You have all these white influencers stealing from black mua’s
Why do people have to make something that is supposed to be fun into a problem like just leave him alone like they really had to find something in this happy fun show and make it into a whole mess
I’m giving it to James on this one, he’s been at the heart of a lot of “scandals” that aren’t actually scandals and he shouldn’t of gotten hate for it. I don’t even watch the dude but it’s plain to see that half of y’all are just hating on him to hate 🤷🏻♀️
NotAnotherYtChannel We’re living in a generation where people get offended by anything. I could understand the backlash if he made them do an apology video for something topical like racism, but none of the topics were remotely controversial. It’s all social media related, and it was very clear from the get go it was satire. Majority of the people on the Internet have a tough time being able to tell satire from reality, it’s kinda pathetic how weak and easily offended people are now.
Right the “scandals” were things to laugh at as they did because they were fake and a test to get them ready for becoming and influence that will make mistakes... just because this challenge was given doesn’t mean EVERYONE fakes their apology videos
Right? Even if it was a scandal as big as being accused of racism or some sht, it makes sense for people to come on with a video, ready with what they want to say, what they want to address etc. Instead of being impulsive with winging an apology in which you’re all emotional and don’t have ur thoughts straight. Calmly writing down your thoughts, looking at all areas of the problem, getting a full understanding and then expressing ur thoughts doesn’t make it less genuine. They’re weird.
@@mattgriego8803 I wouldn't say people are too "sensitive"; it's just that we're a generation who have seen the trauma and bigotry from insensitive jokes and it's outcomes; remember when race jokes were publicly said within the media without any "rage" (on the context of 2020 cancel culture?). It's more so of "If we let this slide, where would we draw the line?". In addition, It's ridiculous to put everything into the public and expect others to not feel differently from your intent. Stop acting confused when Mary Ann Joseph from Arkansas thinks that your tweet was sexist. You can crack those jokes in your inner circle in your own privacy since you're familiar with the dynamic but once you step out into the public domain everyone is entitled to their own opinion & feelings; Would we like to think everyone wasn't racist, homophobic, sexist? yes but quite frankly its a fantasy and the only solution has been cancel culture. Nowadays people who say politically incorrect things automatically take the plea when they get called out; I'd rather them speak with their chest and own it "Yes I said it? and what?" since it will set the battlefield and premise of "OPINIONS". I hope that clarified the naive world you were living in. In today's episode of "wHy iS eVryoNe TriGgReD".
I love how people calling James a "racist" and let people like Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson who have videos where they were saying some racist shit and saying the N-word. I can't with these people
I don't really give a shit if they have apologized and haven't done that since. It's stupid to keep bashing them for stuff in the past and really doesn't help people change. "why should I apologize/change if people will bash me anyway?". Literally don't discourage positive change. Don't. Ever.
The teenagers apart of the cancel culture just make it worse. They act like we have to tiptoe around everything so they can function properly. They won't be ready for the real world.
The constant 'cancel culture' directed at this guy has made me start watching his channel to see what shit is all about- so nice reverse effect. He gained a new subscriber now!
The only problem I have is the alleged straight guy chasing thing, but who even knows how legit that is. Besides that, he seems super sweet and likeable. It's just beauty community stupidity so who even knows.
5:30 made me mad honestly... like this was just supposed to be making fun of the beauty community and how often people make apology videos. Whatever your stance on that in general, it wasn’t about racism...? And it wasn’t about just white MUAs... Like why did she have to point out “white MUAs” like that when there are plenty of controversial MUAs that are also POC and make mistakes make apology videos... There’s so many apology videos out there that aren’t about bigotry or racism like she says in her tweet, MUAs have made apology videos about everything. It just frustrates me that she points out white people like that as if all white MUAs are inherently racist
too little of diversity: WHERE’S THE DIVERSITY?!?!? too much diversity: WE AREN’T YOUR CHARITY CASE as a black person i don’t understand it sometimes. we don’t always have to be represented when it comes to certain things bc we have so many famous and successful black people that represent us on the daily. on top of that if James did have a darker skinned MUA on there they probably would’ve gotten dragged for it bc they associated themselves w James

FCN_ Art Oh hun get over yourself just like Hannah Montana said everybody makes mistakes everybody has those days because nobody’s perfect.
Absolutely agree!
@@erisarth2836 That would make sense!

Casey Greyson considering that most makeup influencers are white women, the diversity of the show was not lacking. i don’t understand people.
For one I don't care if all the casts are of the same color or all white if they're all very talented and not just there for quota.

Okay the thing is for the show, it was scripted because those influencers didn’t actually get into scandals. James was testing their ability to create a genuine apology video. In my opinion he sucks.
I don’t get how “representation” has ANYTHING to do with a competition. It’s supposed to be about talent, not race or gender. Why tf do people always have to make a negative out of EVERYTHING
Emeri i get representation, but i doubt any of the fans getting upset over it did any research on the participants
Ikr? Statistically there should automatocally be the same percentage of every minority in the competition as there is in the population (of course there are only 6 contestants but for example there were 3 girls and 3 boys ať the beginning which is statistically acurate since aproximately 50% of the population is male/female).
So trying to be more inclusive in a competition reality show would only lead to positive discrimination.
for crying out loud NYMA TANG was a guess star.
Stop bringing out race 24/7, that’s seriously messed up
So the lack of dark representation is because there’s no talented darker people? Got it.
ok but like what’s he supposed to do? “oh she’s black let’s take her for the show” like honestly???
That's what they want him to do, but that sounds more racist to me. Like picking someone to be on your show just because of their skin color? When is it ever gonna be enough for these people? Half of the constants are POC, half are women, and half are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Apparently that isn't inclusive enough lmao.
i know people have to realize theres different types of diversity not just one person with a darker complexion and one with a lighter complexion
Corinne don’t you think it’s more racist for people to not be picked because of skin their race? You have nothing to worry about because everywhere you go you are represented. That’s not the case for people of color. This isn’t to invalidate your opinion but I think you need to think about it from a different perspective
Thats MORE racist than not including one!n

The mugshot trend was taken out of proportion. Ikr? And a LOT of famous UA-camrs have made fun of apology videos and no one bats an eye, and suddenly when JC makes a light joke on them on his show, using very minor scandals, suddenly he's super unsensitive and hypocritical
james' challenge: apology for editing over pics
twitter girl: so white people shouldnt be held responsible for saying the n-word??
sasukes big schlong 😭 literally omg why are ppl like this
EXACTLY
🤣🤣😭😭😭 omg truuee like whyyyy🤦🏿♂️
That girl definitely had to do some stretches before that REACH ! She tried it
this has nothing to do with your comment but love your username
Internet: *begins slowly fading into non-existence*
James Charles: *rips off clothes and does a photoshoot*
Jeffree Star: *already halfway through a dramatic tweet*
Trasha Paytas: *sits on kitchen floor with camera and cries*
Tana: *grabs toothbrush*
why are people so dramatic.. hating on people shouldn’t be a thing. James is one of the sweetest people ever ❣️
Ok James and the team picked people based on talent... not race smh why did race have to be dragged innn- people will do anything to drag himmmm
Iona Morrison agreed
that’s what i always think, and also there is diversity in this group ???
sarah deheaume Apparently to some people, there needs to be someone of darker complexion for it to be considered diverse
Jenni Lopez exactly like if there was a show with only dark skins nobody would care they would be like yay finally like what 🙄
exactly maybe there weren’t any darkskins who met the level james’ team were looking for
James Charles is the internet's scape goat, can we go after actually sexual predators and racist, rather than this sucessful young man who has the platform to raise up smaller creaters and be inclusive before he's ran of the platform.
Robin Little i wish but these grown ass adults cant act like adults and have to drag someone who is successful because of their jealousy
Thank God I'm safe here
That’s only like 3 years older than me, and I know I’m noT ready to deal with that much criticism; that’s a lot of pressure for someone just coming out of their late teens!
say it louder for the people in the back sis
Robin just speaking straight facts
stop making everything about race.
- sincerely a person of color
In my opinion:
I feel like, no one has an obligation to apologise.
That's the real tea💅
But every opinion is slightly valid.
POP OFF SIS👏👏🧚🏻✨💅🏻
James Charles: Pets a dog
People: Wait. That’s illegal. He probably has ulterior motives.
I see yoy everywhere in kpop related video and now in make-uo community videos haha i love your comments
@FCN_ Art people are after him because they are are bored 🙄stop making everything he does into an issue because you make actual problems look dumb
@FCN_ Art Literally stfu 🙄 You sound like u call corporate for a living
@FCN_ Art hes got into drama get that but he isnt that person
Remember when people got mad at him over not getting his dog at a shelter?
I swear y’all would pick at James for anything and everything.
james is problematic that’s why
Agreed he can’t even breathe without someone getting offended
deadass
Alessandro Hernandez cause people make everything he does a “problem.” At this point, it’s not even James anymore. It’s hella annoying at this point.
So true, James will breathe and people will get offended.
the fact that he gets attacked for literally everything he does is getting annoying
Just cause of his appearance beside James is young he learns from being his mistake like everyone else
James Charles : Breathes.
Everyone : This is just WRONG.
@@riv3rss ur wrong :)
Seth Freakin Rollins right they really are just looking for reasons to hate
@@riv3rss He does something LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE DOES and HE is the one who gets hate for it. You're just one of those people that stayed hating on him for no reason after the stupid tati drama.
Queenie Smith He isn’t he is being unbiased and it people like you who try to get clout and hate just to hate
@@joelhernadez2720 PREACH!!
James could put a tweet saying “hi” and people would find a way to bash him for it.
twitter: im offended that he said hi. clearly he only cares about english speakers and doesn't care about us who speak other languages. omg he's so racist
elibean they actually would say something like this
Brandon Walker Is He PrOmOtInG dRuG uSe!1!1
twitter: it’s so annoying how WHITE peoples like JAMES says things like hi and gets away with it. like what about the people who speak other languages?
James: “hi”
Twitter person: “He’s just looking for attention and for a straight boy to hit him up in the dms”
Wow that girl commenting to James was very racist and didn’t realize it. Racism exists for everyone.
In that specific situation she was more offensive to James than he was
The challenge was actually funny. People are too damn sensitive
Yes it would, these people are more racist than they think.
James just can’t catch a break ... he gets attacked for everything
Its getting really annoying now tbh
Not for everything but for every
discriminatory shit he says.
@Chaotic Bi is this a creepshow art reference?
exactly smh🤦♀️ people are just crazy. They are just jealous of him because he i so successful at such a young age
this is exactly the kind of controversy he craves and wants.
do you really think a show which is a basically a ripoff of every other reality competition show is meant to do anything else?
his brand at this point is to be problematic. that's what he knows people will watch his content for. he cares for clicks and viewership, cos that is money in the bank.
stop being simpletons.
Why can’t we just leave James alone and appreciate the hard work that went into the show? People will always find something to bitch and complain about and that’s disgusting.
James Charles: Sets foot on this earth
Everyone: *THIS IS OFFENDING ME!*
*OMG OMG HE IS MAKING FUN OF PEOPLE LIVING ON THE EARTH!!!! HOW COULD HE DO THAT?!!!!*
HES LITERALLY MAKING FUN OF PEOPLE IN A WHEELCHAIR
He literally told them to apologise for editing a pic... people are just too sensitive
I thought it was funny....bruh they were alllll joking. "I have a squidward nose" if they are taking that serious idk what to say
Jamie Mations even shane jokes abt apology videos bec sometimes they r ridiculous (lauralee) like omfg it was a joke i saw no problem with it
giuliana conway exactly still some people praise Shane ( I love shane btw)
It's the kind of challenge I could see them doing on Drag Race. Seriously not a big deal, it's satirical and actually kind of self-aware
It's not that deep. People get offended over EVERYTHING nowadays.
James is an extremely talented makeup artist and he is giving a chance to build careers for many other talented people...people have just got to leave him alone..
8:30🤣🤣🤣(youre the best tea channel💕)
James actually has something going good for him this year, people need to let his good light shine without trying to knock it away
Not if he keeps messing it up
Lily Angel he’s doing nothing but people still hate. He breathes people hate. He blinks people hate. He makes his own show and people hate like let him do something without hate
@@lilyangel7611 he is not messing up
Skin tone should not be picked over talent. Wouldnt it be even worse if he only picked poc because of their "race"? Wouldnt that be racist? Same with gender, sexuality, everything. Choose people because of their abilities and their talent!!!!
Aint that the TRUTH TEA!!👍
i 100% agree. like yes of course diverse representation in media is wonderful and i only wish there was more of it but it's terrible to choose people solely to meet some kind of "race quota"!!
i am human Yup. I find it funny that people will jsut have diversity for the sake of it and not for talent, as if POC can’t be talented enough to be there.
yes!!! i agree
You have missed the mark. Having a diverse group makes it easier for people to feel represented and seen. Whyte people don't get understand because media is about them.
Girl your camera!!! I COULD NEVAAA😂❤️
james: *breathes*
everyone: that's not very skin exclusive of you
lol you mean inclusive?
Just a joke and a bit of social commentary on his part. The “scandals” he gave are so minor (over editing photos) nothing racist or sexist or anything like that. Beauty guru apologies are made fun of so often I think he just wanted to get in on the fun. Not a big deal- the makeup streaming down that one guys face shows it’s just a joke too like nobody would actually go that hard
Katie Films Stuff exactly, these are the same people who probably made fun of laura lee for having the most non genuine apology
tealiswoke that wasn’t an apology for you to accept then
Last time I was this early, James Charles wasn't getting cancelled for just existing☕☕
#cancelthecancelcommunity
Douche Canoe wait that means last time you were early was like a day before this came out
Kakashi Hatake James Charles has been “cancelled” over the smallest things since dramageddon 2 back in May 2019
Periodt thoughhhh 🙈🙈🙈
So never
People r so sensitive lmao. ”Making fun of apology videos isn’t okay” Lord have mercy...
i think the scandal videos were pretty funny. It’s clear that he meant some influencers make fake apologies and this is how they do it. It’s really not that deep.
The diversity thing: i thought its more about the talent in the people and not their skin color or sexuality ?
Ina So could he have not found dark skinned men and women who are insanely talented with makeup. You have all these white influencers stealing from black mua’s
Is there not many talented ppl of diverse backgrounds tho?
@@xxXitakegabbiesXxx honestly i think we should stop dividing humans like wtf and its the 1st season so there might be more representation in season 2
@@xxXitakegabbiesXxx They're not all white, what's not clicking? Is it only okay if they're ALL black? Is that the only representation you accept???
mf tired Nobody is stealing from anyone. These people probably deserve it just as much as the black mua’s.
James: *Pets an ant*

if you pet an ant youll disfigure or kill it.
Julia Watkins r/woooosh
Julia Watkins nope I have an ant farm
Julia Watkins no I don’t
@@juliawatkins7974 Same goes for people,.... apparantly.
Why do people have to make something that is supposed to be fun into a problem like just leave him alone like they really had to find something in this happy fun show and make it into a whole mess
It's refreshing to see your face! Love how much your channel has developed. Skincare video?
I’m giving it to James on this one, he’s been at the heart of a lot of “scandals” that aren’t actually scandals and he shouldn’t of gotten hate for it. I don’t even watch the dude but it’s plain to see that half of y’all are just hating on him to hate 🤷🏻♀️
He literally said "minor scandals" why is everybody so butthurt, like a person had to apologize for their video titles 💀
(Edit: grammar)
I KNOW RIGHT 😂😂😂😂
@@mattgriego8803 I wouldn't say people are too "sensitive"; it's just that we're a generation who have seen the trauma and bigotry from insensitive jokes and it's outcomes; remember when race jokes were publicly said within the media without any "rage" (on the context of 2020 cancel culture?).
At this point people are just finding things to fight about tbh :/

Yeeeee! Good to see your face again you are so cheerful in every video with your face, great job!
Omg imagine thinking like that James Charles is literally the most unproblematic MUA I’ve ever seen
I love how people calling James a "racist" and let people like Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson who have videos where they were saying some racist shit and saying the N-word. I can't with these people
Asdf Girl period
I don't really give a shit if they have apologized and haven't done that since. It's stupid to keep bashing them for stuff in the past and really doesn't help people change. "why should I apologize/change if people will bash me anyway?". Literally don't discourage positive change. Don't. Ever.
I also don’t get how James is racist
Oh no! I didn’t know about Shane Dawson. What did he do?
Gisselle Ayala Shane’s friend was black I forgot what her name was but she gave him the n word pass so don’t worry
It’s literally just an entertainment show, people are so sensitive.
The teenagers apart of the cancel culture just make it worse. They act like we have to tiptoe around everything so they can function properly. They won't be ready for the real world.
maia yeah they just get so sensitive like what the f***
omg... I’ve never seen ur face till now! UR GORGEOUS KING

The constant 'cancel culture' directed at this guy has made me start watching his channel to see what shit is all about-

Its ya Boi Babylon exactly
Yeah, I didn't even know this show existed but the fake apology videos were so hilarious and self-conscious that I'm going to give it a watch lol.
He's like 20 aswell.
The only problem I have is the alleged straight guy chasing thing, but who even knows how legit that is. Besides that, he seems super sweet and likeable. It's just beauty community stupidity so who even knows.
It’s crazy how every one is quick to cancel James Charles for everything he does but Trisha Paytas get praised for her scandals. 🤦🏻♀️

That girl needs to get off the internet and get a therapist.
okay but the way he pronounced akikikiki has me crying this is so cute ily
“Why you so obsessed with me boy I wanna know”
5:30 made me mad honestly... like this was just supposed to be making fun of the beauty community and how often people make apology videos.
Elena yeah, she was talking about racism and bigotry when she was the one including racial bias lmao
FCN_ Art i agree
too little of diversity: WHERE’S THE DIVERSITY?!?!?
too much diversity: WE AREN’T YOUR CHARITY CASE
as a black person i don’t understand it sometimes. we don’t always have to be represented when it comes to certain things bc we have so many famous and successful black people that represent us on the daily. on top of that if James did have a darker skinned MUA on there they probably would’ve gotten dragged for it bc they associated themselves w James
