A big section on this video was dedicated to the STD question and how Rose got offended and hurt about the question. However, the editors of this video failed to mention an important detail related to that question and why people was mad at Ed. When Ed asked Rose to take an STD test, she said that she would agreed as long as they both took it. His response was that he didn’t feel comfortable taking the STD test in the Philippines as he wasn’t sure if it was safe for him to do it there. Why was it okay for Rose to do it but not good enough for him? That’s the real reason why she got offended, not even the STD question itself but the way he approach it. I believe that anybody, regardless of what country they came from would be offended by it.

A lot of Westerners don't seem to understand that a lot of Eastern families take care of each other FOREVER. They stay close and help each other because that's their culture. Did Rose's son look emaciated to you? Did he look like he was starving, dying, miserable? These families _can_ afford to have kids, they just want MORE for them, as any parent does. You can tell Rose is a good mother to her son, because everytime they were together he was happy and didn't want her to leave.
What can you expect from a country that kicks their children out of home at 18 and puts their elderly on nursing homes. They're nuts.
Yeah, nursing homes aren't really a thing here in the PH. We also don't get kicked out at 18 and even if we get stable jobs with enough compensation to get a life of our own, we often choose to still live with our parents when we have our own families already.
Do not belittle people living in poverty because they are taught to survive at an early age and they can and will do any hard work (some even get 3 jobs at once) in order to provide for their families.

While it isn't a 40 y/o dude living in their mom's basement type of situation, most people prefer to have their families as close as possible.

Why are there so many people looking down and underestimating Filipina women? I dated women in different ethnicity but nothing really beats Filipina woman that made me go through a lot just to bring one here in New Zealand because my mother was a good proof of how great they are and so as my other Filipina relatives.
They can cook amazing food, look after or care for you, great mothers, and most importantly they are not very demanding and it only takes a tickle to make them happy.
Rose wasn't trying to rip him off if she wanted to have kids with him. she was happy and content living in poverty and she just wanted to have good future for her son and ed. She was geniune and Ed was see her as a doll. I'm glad she ended it.

These woman had their own families, houses, lives to fund. But with the conditions of their families back home, who knows what they forgo just to make sure their relatives have a roof over their head and food i their tables.
it's easy to say stuff like that when people haven't seen/experience actual poverty. Opportunities and well paying jobs are so difficult to come by for a lot of Filipinos and people in 3rd world countries.
Yeah that quote got me triggered as well. I think they barely have enough to eat. Rose is thin and has ulcer. The kid is thin too. That should tell you something about their financial status. They can't even afford windows and a floor for their house. I imagine if they were my neighbors, I would constantly be sending them food to eat, trying to get her a decent job anywhere vacant, buying school stuffs for the kid, trying to help them out as much as I could.

I- you’re joking right. “Too irresponsible to have children”. Excuse me??? She is extremely responsible. She may have lived in poverty, but look at how she took care of her child. Now I see where you can say that there are people who can’t afford to take care of children, but I know personally that many parents want children because they love children. People who live in poverty would obviously love to live in luxury, but don’t think for a minute that they can’t do anything. I know this personally because my parents were in that place before (I was too young to really understand) but my parents raised me amazingly. They wanted the best for me and they did everything they could to give me an amazing childhood. Rose is a strong mother and is very much responsible enough to raise two more kids.

I watched a few of Rose's videos with her son and they are so precious together. I think she's a terrific mother.
