I thought his Goon film was finally happening at Netflix with Fincher producing. Nonetheless, that test footage embodies the comics so well, as long as Powell writes the script with Millers vision, would be gold…also Giamatti as Frankie is perfect!
I feel like the inclusion of Fantastic Four would have overshadowed Deadpool. I think the reason why it sounds better bcuz it lacked woketardism such as race swapped domino n maybe a better Cable actor.

Mostly because I hated the misrepresentation of Gambit on the big screen. What’s really funny is that it seems that Tim got his wishes in the third movie, without spoilers. Additionally Ryan in a recent interview said that he leaked the test footage.
I had yet to learn Dolph was considered. I had argued for years [decades] that he would be the best actor for the role. Ok, the Fantastic 4 as members of the X-Force would have been hilarious 🤣. That interaction with Evans as Johnny Storm and Deadpool would have been hilarious
i still love that ryan became deadpool after the comics basically saying deadpool looks like ryan reynolds, cuz there's more recent comics where dp's face heals and yes he looks pretty similar to ryan
This is a tough one to pick a side on because both have good points. I do agree that the director is the boss and he shouldn’t have to listen to the star on what should happen in his movie. But on the other hand, if you’re championing this project for over a decade, you deserve a say in what happens.
I appreciate the video but I feel that the author took Reynolds’ side, and perpetuated a rumor about a situation he wasn’t involved in. James Cameron is known as someone who is incredibly difficult to work with and for. Sometimes people are black balled because one powerful person doesn’t like them and Cameron has come out and said that the most controversial piece of the miller Terminator film was his idea.

It was explained to me by Mark Millar on a forum years back that Fox’s Marvel properties couldn’t legally crossover, so Fox at most could probably just do fast photos, or have the characters make vague references to the other films. I asked this, because the Wolverine story arc “Enemy of the State” had him brainwashed by Hydra and butting heads with Fantastic Four, Daredevil and Elektra. I saw this as a pitch for a Wolverine film. His answer was that even though Fox had all these properties, they couldn’t show up in eachother’s movies for two big reasons. First being, the different producers involved, and their own money tied to the IPs. These movies would need to go above and beyond expected box office takes for everyone to get a satisfactory return. The second being that the licenses from Marvel wouldn’t allow that, as they’re different contracts which were made with different terms, and were as isolated from eachother as they were from Alien or Predator.
I would've liked to have seen this version of Deadpool 2. The sequel that we got will never be a favorite of mine, but I do still like it. Tim Miller’s ideas sound very wild though! I would've certainly checked that movie out!
Can you do a future video about Rocky? Stallone recently stated that in the first draft, Rocky throws the fight against Apollo in the hopes of just going back to his quiet life and be with Adrian
@@gabrielruiz219I disagree. Rocky came out in an interesting time. It won the Oscar even though it was up against movies like Network, All the President's Men, and Taxi Driver. These were three VERY heavy films. But, it seemed at the time, we needed a movie like Rocky within the cultural zeitgeist. We needed a movie about an underdog that did well, rather than another dour movie oozing cynicism. Having Rocky throw the fight would have altered the point of the movie and made it just as "deep" as the others that came out that year. We, and Hollywood, needed a film like Rocky at the time.
Its amazing to see that spoilers: Ryan including Tatum in Deadpool and Wolverine as Gambit and seemingly trying to get his dream role some screen time~
I think Deadpool 2 turned out pretty good. It was pre Disney purchase when I last saw it and I was dreaming of an new iteration of X-Men born out of that series with that look, feel and most importantly action. A David Leich X-Men movie would be pretty sweet.
I actually think Reynolds doesn’t like appearing physically smaller or inferior to any of his male co stars. Brolin has said in interviews he surprisingly showed him up with the amount of cutting he did and Reynolds and the team didn’t expect him to at all. Jackman is looking a lot leaner as Wolverine too.
@@zserbs2326 wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case, big stars like Reynolds are very particular about their image and how they appear. That’s one of the biggest reasons why vin diesel and Dwayne Johnson have that fight contract thing
Idk if Tim Miller would've made a better movie, but I certainly think it could've been better. For starters, why didn't they just have Negasonic as the dangerous kid instead of Firefist? Why didn't they develop Deadpool and Domino's relationship further since he doesn't have Vanessa anymore? Why didn't they reveal Vanessa as Copycat instead of killing her off? Why didn't they bring more X-Men at the end to fight Juggernaut? Why doesn't Cable talk about how his parents are literally Cyclops and Jean Grey? So much wasted potential, hope the next one won't be disappointing as well.
Deadpool 2 was brilliant, funny, emotional, thrilling. Writers and directors make choices, and the good ones leave out more than they keep in. Loved the choices they made. Never been 3 films like the Deadpool films. Bravo to their whole team for getting these R rated gems made.
I always felt the first was more edgy and rough and more hilarious. The second didn't really capture that feel ever again, plus the action was way better. Would've loved Millers sequel.
I mean there's only so much you can do with deadpool. It was a great idea pairing him with other heroes but they kinda overdid the whole multiverse thing in deadpool 3
It's truly frustrating to know that Miller actually wanted to do something with Vanessa in Deadpool 2, but instead she was killed before the opening credits. I was pissed when that happened. Then they brought her back and it seemed like a hilarious piss-take. Then came Deadpool & Wolverine. She's billed third! Hell yes! Let's see her use her powers! Nope. They've broken up. She's got less to do than when she was dead. For a movie series that started with such a surprisingly sweet love story, they sure were determined to have her gone as fast as possible. What a joke.
A What Could Have Been video on Thor Ragnarok would be a fun one to do as there’s a few things that could’ve turned it into a different movie than what we got
Yeah... I prefer the final version, the fantastic four cameo would feel kinds insulting, Cable and Domino looks great but I don't mind the final desicions.
I don't think Deadpool 2 is as strong as the first but I also don't know whether this other version would have been as strong either. I really like the Fantastic Four concept art. For me it feels like giving them cinematic redemption like how the Deadpool film did to Wolverine Origins or Deadpool 2 did for Juggernaut. I'd love to see Tim Miller go the Gareth Edwards route and just do his own concept, like a 50 million dollar film or something. The dude knows how to use SFX efficiently.
Why wasn't DP2 as strong in your opinion? I've been seeing this said since 2018 (although I recall it being more split back then) but I was always curious as to why. I've been wanting to rewatch them to asses but until recently I preferred DP2 due to how more emotionally compelling it was.
I really liked Deadpool 2 (although I fucking hate that atrocious song that plays during the final battle), but I really want to see what Miller’s version would have been. I doubt it would have been better, but it had some interesting ideas that I think would have been really good if Fox didn’t cut them from the script, especially seeing a comic accurate Thing. We all know the Thing would get his ass kicked without help though. You don’t fuck around with the Juggernaut.

Deadpool 2 was pretty great so I think it all worked out in the end. I think Reynolds is the most important part of that franchise. Both Deadpool I think our top five X-Men movies.
Deadpool is one of the most amazing comic book movies ever and I can't wait for the third film and Deadpool 2 is just as amazing (this is my opinion) perfect timing for this coming before Deadpool 3 looking forward to more
Well my opinion is Deadpool 2 is better than the 1st one.
@@ThePrinceofHisOwnKingdom their both great and Deadpool 2 is definitely the better
@@Hallowpool193 I like the first one better than 2. I think 2 does a bit too much and the jokes aren't nearly as funny
Good point I picked the second because of the jokes but honestly the first one is also amazing
@@kdusel1991idk man, they both are so close. I have to say I prefer 2 because I like the conflict in it more, alongside the expanded cast of characters, and the humor was great, but I also really like the first one for the drama, the love story, and the overall cinematography tbh. Action in both movies were top notch to me, altho it feels like Deadpool 2 may have had almost too much action? Idk, I love both movies and can’t wait to see the third one
It’s always great Saturday when you upload a new fantastic video!!!!
Please make a video on what could have been… Channing Tatum’s Gambit! I’d love to see that!
@@bartplays3392wow
@@bartplays3392 hopefully he shows up in deadpool and wolverine!!
Im glad we got the deadpool 2 that we did. Love that movie
Fun fact: Randy Orton (Yes, the wrestler Randy Orton) revealed in a talk with Cody Rhodes in "What do You Wanna Talk About?" that he auditioned for Cable in DP2 but didn't make the cut
Interestingly enough, Blur Studios had history with Marvel Icons as they were responsible for creating commercials and cutscenes for video games such as the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance game and also the X-Men Origins Wolverine tie in game in an ironic twist of fate.
Deadpool 2 turned out great, so I'm glad that David Leitch was chosen. It's wild that Tim Miller wanted to include the Fantastic Four.
Crazy that both Chris Evans and Channing Tatum idea came back for part 3
Deadpool is the mess up that everyone loves no matter what happens
Johny Storm is back baby
Wish we would’ve gotten this
Would still love to see Millers take on the Goon more than anything else
I thought his Goon film was finally happening at Netflix with Fincher producing. Nonetheless, that test footage embodies the comics so well, as long as Powell writes the script with Millers vision, would be gold…also Giamatti as Frankie is perfect!
@@simplymodern12 If this is happening I had not heard. That would be great if he was finally able to get it movin though
NGL the miller version of DP2 sounded much better then what we got
It really does
I feel like the inclusion of Fantastic Four would have overshadowed Deadpool. I think the reason why it sounds better bcuz it lacked woketardism such as race swapped domino n maybe a better Cable actor.
@@MalcomMalediction I liked black Domino...
It sounds better until you realize it would have been a much bigger cast .and would have made it hard to keep things interesting
Not really
What Could Have Been: Channing Tatum's Gambit
I was one of the very very very few Gambit fans who was looking forward to this.
Mostly because I hated the misrepresentation of Gambit on the big screen.
I was intrigued cause Channing Tatum is actually from the south and has family in New Orleans....he mightve been able to pull it off
@StevenNotRichards Premonition lol. I loved the scenes he was in. The movie couldve ended there for me.
Blur Studios also did the cutscenes for the X-Men legends games and marvel ultimate alliance games
Another great WCHB dude, stay killing it, see ya in the next one.
Thnx brother!
What’s really funny is that it seems that Tim got his wishes in the third movie, without spoilers. Additionally Ryan in a recent interview said that he leaked the test footage.
A classic 420 gift from B&B
another banger, had to turn on notifications because i didn't see your last two videos, more to binge now though lol
Thanks and enjoy!
Watching this after Deadpool 3 has opened my eyes!
I would've loved to have seen tim millers Deadpool 2
This kind of explains why I didn't like the second film as much.
I think going with Reynolds vision was the right choice, although of course we’re always going to wonder what if?
I had yet to learn Dolph was considered. I had argued for years [decades] that he would be the best actor for the role. Most of the original script for DP2 sounds good, especially Domino's fleshing out, but I could do without the FF or Blacksmith. I assumed Mr. Sininster would have been the big baddy in the franchise.
Ok, the Fantastic 4 as members of the X-Force would have been hilarious 🤣. That interaction with Evans as Johnny Storm and Deadpool would have been hilarious
😂😂😂😂
... This aged well.
LETS GOOOO! THANKS BOSSMAN YOU ROCK FOR THIS 1!
i still love that ryan became deadpool after the comics basically saying deadpool looks like ryan reynolds, cuz there's more recent comics where dp's face heals and yes he looks pretty similar to ryan
The Thing vs Juggernaut would jave been fucking sick
The 2005 FF movie was really good and that version of the Thing was accurate
YEP
Michael Chiklis and Ioan Griffid will ALWAYS be The Thing and Mr Fantastic. They played the roles to perfection.
Fantastic channel of content thank you for another great upload man.
Thank you!!!!
As brutal as it would've been. Having The Thing survive out of the failed Fantastic 4 just to face Juggernaut would've been epic but still was happy that Collosus faced Juggernaut too.
Could you do one on what Jumanji was originally going to look like, and what Jumanji 2 was going to look like originally before becoming the sequel we got.
5:00 Dude, you just brought back a memory I hadn't thought of in ages. I don't specifically recall hearing that it was Miller's decision, but the Kyle Cheadler rumor was definitely widespread. However, I can't say he was the only one rumored.
Here's an idea for future project:

Miller was right about Cable. I wasn't feeling Brolin.
We should get a Sinister reveal after 21 years & 7 out of 16 X-Franchise movies teasing him since 2003’s X2.
that promo picture of the Thing is sweet
I would've liked to have seen this version of Deadpool 2. The sequel that we got will never be a favorite of mine, but I do still like it. Tim Miller’s ideas sound very wild though! I would've certainly checked that movie out!
Can you do a future video about Rocky? Stallone recently stated that in the first draft, Rocky throws the fight against Apollo in the hopes of just going back to his quiet life and be with Adrian
Eventually. Rocky is one of my favs!
Don't gotta do a whole video for something that can be said in a short comment as yours
Its amazing to see that spoilers:
Ryan including Tatum in Deadpool and Wolverine as Gambit and seemingly trying to get his dream role some screen time~
Hijojy😊yi o
Human Torched appeared in Deadpool after all.
This sounds crazy! Super excited deadpool and wolverine!!
I think Deadpool 2 turned out pretty good. It was pre Disney purchase when I last saw it and I was dreaming of an new iteration of X-Men born out of that series with that look, feel and most importantly action. A David Leich X-Men movie would be pretty sweet.
Excellent video as always say man
What I've never understood is why they didn't just use CGI to make Cable bigger?
I actually think Reynolds doesn’t like appearing physically smaller or inferior to any of his male co stars. Brolin has said in interviews he surprisingly showed him up with the amount of cutting he did and Reynolds and the team didn’t expect him to at all. Jackman is looking a lot leaner as Wolverine too.
@@zserbs2326 wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case, big stars like Reynolds are very particular about their image and how they appear. That’s one of the biggest reasons why vin diesel and Dwayne Johnson have that fight contract thing
@@zserbs2326Jackman isn’t looking a lot leaner??
@@zserbs2326If that were the case, he'd use x-men Colossus instead of using comic accurate one.
The xmen where just there for a quick easter egg. Doubt executives would let them use more money
I like the 3rd more than 2nd how about you
Wow the facts are flying like crazy. I guess they didn’t want Deadpool having a relationship since it’s 2018 Hollywood. This version sounds 3x better
Deadpool 2 was brilliant, funny, emotional, thrilling. Writers and directors make choices, and the good ones leave out more than they keep in. Loved the choices they made. Never been 3 films like the Deadpool films. Bravo to their whole team for getting these R rated gems made.
The 2nd was not that good
You know it would be really cool if you were able to look up and find out? The long lost sequel to Buckaroo Banzai against the world crime League
Idk a lot of people have stuff to say about deadpool2. But I loved it
I would have much perfered Vanessa becoming Copycat in Deadpool 2
preferred*
I always felt the first was more edgy and rough and more hilarious. The second didn't really capture that feel ever again, plus the action was way better. Would've loved Millers sequel.
There basically equal with different highlights, 1 was more hilarious (way more) while 2 had a way better story and more action.
I mean there's only so much you can do with deadpool. It was a great idea pairing him with other heroes but they kinda overdid the whole multiverse thing in deadpool 3
Wouldn't mind Gibson or D.Lundgren as Cable but they did NOT go wrong with the always great J.Brolin.
What a timing! I watched F4 video few hours ago.
I appreciate the Tim Miller approach, not many movies nowadays are comic-accurate.
i like zazie beetz as domino
A What Could Have Been video on Thor Ragnarok would be a fun one to do as there’s a few things that could’ve turned it into a different movie than what we got
Yeah... I prefer the final version, the fantastic four cameo would feel kinds insulting, Cable and Domino looks great but I don't mind the final desicions.
So how do you feel about Deadpool and Wolverine?
thank you ryan🔥❤️
rule number #1: never believe what rob liefeld says about deadpool.
I've been wanting to rewatch them to asses but until recently I preferred DP2 due to how more emotionally compelling it was.
chris evans coming in wouldve been hilarious
Thanks for the amazing video ❤
These executives don't know what they are doing. We nearly lost out on Deadpool movies due to their idiocy.
Rewatching deadpool 2 today lol
I really liked Deadpool 2 (although I fucking hate that atrocious song that plays during the final battle), but I really want to see what Miller’s version would have been. I doubt it would have been better, but it had some interesting ideas that I think would have been really good if Fox didn’t cut them from the script, especially seeing a comic accurate Thing. We all know the Thing would get his ass kicked without help though. You don’t fuck around with the Juggernaut.
Yeah you have a point. It was cool when they were running but sucked just playing through the whole battle.
Which version of the movie cuz there’s different music depending on the version you’re watching
@@bullymaguire3385 Ah, very good point. Kinda surprised I forgot to mention that. The version I’m talking about is The Super Duper Cut, which plays “Fight Dirty” during the second half of the Juggernaut fight. I don’t like the song and much prefer the song in the theatrical version, “Welcome To The Party”.
@@What.99 Yeah i agree the theatrical music is more hype
