@@sage8111 no it’s fine! I try to share the signs & story of what I went through whenever I have the chance. Might make a video on it later down the line. I went through this with a cousin & friend, both came off as what I stated above, followed whoever they clinged to, wanted to copy & do everything I do even with careers/jobs, often needed my advice or wanted help to do things, calling all day NON STOP, acting funny when they get around a group of people, usually people with stronger personalities or who they deem to be more popular, a big one is being boy crazy or not having much of a love life at all, don’t tell them too much about your relationship, have them around your partner or show his social media. In my experience they hide behind fake pages & throw rocks & hide their hand so watch out for that too. Everybody who’s shy & quiet is not like this because I am too but you’ll figure out quick when somebody is trying to be you or out to get you.

Regina wasn’t entirely innocent though. She didn’t welcome Cady into her clique with open arms out of the goodness of her heart. It was a strategic move for Regina to maintain her position as queen bee. She spotted that Cady could be a potential threat to her popularity because Cady was also pretty etc. So she chose to keep Cady close to her and that’s why she invited Cady to be part of her friend group. It was a case of “keep your enemies closer”. She didn’t actually like Cady or want to be friends out of genuine interest, Regina was just being fake, and therefore she’s still a mean girl. Gretchen even admits to Cady “why would Regina give you a candy cane, she doesn’t even like you that much.” So Regina was also a mean girl who only had her own interests at heart. She was using Cady as a friend just to protect her own status and power (keeping Cady as a friend would allow Regina to monitor her better, and prevent her from becoming a threat). However what Regina didn’t expect was that Cady was working with Janis. Regina thought Cady was naive, but Cady was being instructed by Janis, who was also a mean girl, since she was Regina’s former bff (and we can expect birds of a feather to flock together). That’s why Cady was able to overthrow Regina. Regina and Janis are both mean girls, and Cady started turning into one when she got tangled in their drama

Can I be honest about it? Is this a safe space? Apart of me is still so afraid to show up as my true self bc I’m terrified of feeling that way again. I’m nobody’s victim whatsoever but I’m traumatized that someone, anyone can envy someone so much to spiritually attack them, send them death spells, all in the attempt to get something that they have.
I gatekeep myself so much more now and it’s a lonely place to be. I mean thank goodness that I like myself, but every now and then I think about how much independence and this life costs me.

I believe it’s the opposite. Regina sabotaged Cady. Cady came in pretty, down to earth, kind and interesting because she was a transplant. Think of how that new girl effect worked with Bella from Twilight where all the guys wanted her. Regina saw her being a threat from a mile away, and while Regina is mean to guys and toys with them for fun, then dumps them, Cady could have a good healthy relationship get a jock and become naturally popular. Regina decided to pick Cady so she would be under her wing so she could control the threat. That’s also how she could control what guys she would be able to date and find out who she likes first then sabotage it.
Cady probably would have had way more fun in hs if she never joined the plastics. She would have had her quirky friends. Become well liked. Dated Aaron Samuels on her own, never knowing that Regina was his ex. And still would have been voted prom Queen. Regina tried to destiny swap and sabotage that from Cady.
The catalyst was Regina finding out that Cady liked Aaron and saying she would talk to him for Cady to help her. Instead she seduced her EX Aaron back only to make sure he didn’t date Cady. He liked Cady back and Regina had to make up some lies about her and then act like she actually missed Aaron and wanted him back. She didn’t. She was cheating on him behind his back the whole time. It was only then after that betrayal that Cady switched and became toxic herself. No two wrongs don’t make a right but Regina was always more problematic than Cady. Regina was just more covertly calculating. At the end you see Regina really trying to destiny swap because she tries to copy Cady and look like she’s nicer and distance herself from being all done up and starts becoming down to earth and gets into sports. Completely distancing herself from the plastic image. Regina shape shifts and assumes a new identity. Cady goes back to being herself after she realized that she did have a toxic moment out of the anger of broken trust and betrayal.

    Cady wanted Regina's boyfriend.....ex boyfriend, that's it.
Regina though, she wasn't befriending cady to be nice.

I definitely get the analogy but the idea that regina was approaching cady with a clean open heart isn't true imo. And we get evidence of that when she throws out the same kind of empty comment to one of the 'hotties' then say's 'that's the ugliest effin skirt'.
Also cady does actually get called out on the fact that she is the same as regina towards the end, it doesn't feel like it's hidden.
I think Regina is still the 'villiain' but for sure it was always giving single white female.
Think it can be true that just because cady wanted to be like regina doesn't mean that regina wasn't an asshole.

Guys i think yall are forgetting that this was Cady’s first year of going to school with people her age at an actually institution. She knew nothing and the first “friend” she made told her to go do something. So naturally the first people she started to hang around changed her into the person she became . Cast never developed her own high school persona because she didn’t know how to act according to the “high school rules”. So being popular and accepted into Regina’s group that seemingly looked like all everybody in that school worshiped and cared about, made her think that this is how she should be. When she saw everyone praising Regina and her group because of the way they acted and she had chance to join she turned into them.

I've lost sooo many friends, people I worked with are now vying to work with her and The Hater Alliance instead. She swears my aesthetic, vocals, evverything is really hers and I STOLE her account and put my name and pictures on it. BS. She convinces people that I'm trying to destiny swap with a fake twin thats actually an old picture of me from before I gained weight. I can't watch this movie the same way. What they did was cruel.

the passion in this video is magnetic and immaculate... very well done. it almost makes me feel bad for Cady because she was actually an exceptional young woman who was genuinely kind and quite feminine.... however, I believe janis and her friend manipulated her and made her a part of something she then did not realize (Janis was very predaceous and to me, the actual villain of the movie) - it was unfortunate what Cady had become as a result of her own nativity and ignorance, its good to always have discernment. that is my personal take away
