  • This video is from my second attempt at the winter gravel race series.
This race is a 31 km gravel race. We did 6 laps of about 5 km and with a very interesting route.
For this race I did a few gear upgrades. I got myself a new carbon wheelset with a bit of profile and with pathfinder in 42. I was very excited to see how I would do with wider tires for gravel racing.
My goal for this race was to not do anything stupid and stay with the front group. Also every time I was in the front to stay very aero.
It was an awesome day of gravel racing. Very fun route with lots of ups and downs and twists and turns. In my opinion a race like this is the perfect training for gravel racing later in the season. This race leaves me even more excited for the big gravel races coming just around the corner.
    Gear for the race
    Bike: Trek boone
    Wheels: Miles, carbon gravel wheels
    Gravel tires: Pathfinder 42

I never thought watching POV euro whiteguy gravel racing to American ghetto gangster rap would be a thing, but somehow it just… works.

Tak for hjælpen

For that course, I think the 42’a are def good enough. More serious gravel, def step up to 45 or 47’s

Unfortunately I think 42s is as wide I can go on my current bike. 😔

I would go for narrower and slicker to be faster. Going taller and wider will only make you slower. More comfortable but slower.
