Great job AvAngel. You really bring MSFS to life with your interesting adventures !. Especially with your carefully selected aircraft rather than some of the default choices. Many of your choices offer style, and appeal with the subtle nuances particular to each aircraft. Thank you.
My fav airplane, together with Husky, and by the way this one is my fav livery, the "Mountain Fox". I used it to create my own variation. In total, Fox2 is a great airplane, I used it to fly all the way from Ukraine and via Iceland to Canada, almost crashed while crossing Greenland in heavy IMC 😅 I absolutely love the synthetic vision and autopilot, all those improvements together with great petformance and comfort have turned this bird into the best (in my opinion) bush plane on steroids available on market today. Totally recommend it!
Love the kitfox! Freedom Fox! I've been playing FS22 too long, the fields can wait, the sky is calling.
The avionics power issue you had was a bug fixed in the update you saw at the beginning. The performance upgraded versions were draining the battery faster than the alternator could charge it, and at low RPM you would lose avionics as a result.
That makes sense, got told after about the issue while being confused as to what I did!
It's happened to me multiple times but the most recent time was the best. Turning on base to land in Vegas right at dusk in the Diamond DA62. Flipped the last notch of flaps down and the screens all went black. Had that, "Um, now what?" moment but eyeballed the landing alright.
Felt pride in my virtual skills. 😉
Good work!
@@AvAngel Out of curiosity, are you an irl pilot? I may have missed it if you said you were at some point on the channel, but you're clearly a lot more knowledgeable than the average flight simmer. At any rate, you make some top notch stuff!
Love your videos AvAngel, always fun, informative and different to many of the other MSFS creators out there, great job.
Nice video, love the Kitfox! I did my first flight in the Twin Otter today with live weather, and the wind was crazy as well ...
i flew the aviat husky out of lower loon this morning (jan 20) at 7 am for a beautiful sunrise flight... but... there was snow and it was cold not a lot of wind at grounf but got quite turbulent as the sun came up... so i assume you were not using live weather :) it is an awesome area to bush fly, i used to live in the area by the sawtooth mountains (atlanta area) so its my real home and i love walking around the area in the sim to bring back memories of a great life there - thank you for the video
"Blow blow thou wintery wind thou doest not bite so neigh!" FS realistic is a very cool adon... love it.... another fun vid. Enjoying. Carry on AVAngel... =] 'still watching' .....
Thanks 👍
@@AvAngel I've seen those lil ridges at 12:24 "Seams in the fabric of the sim". Hit them and your done. Like a Glitch in the Matrix! =[]
I've got that original Kitfox and you're right it is a real pain,it taxis faster and faster so constant stabs at the brakes are required and since update 6 the avionics are shot.............
The electronics and windmilling is a bug that can occur if you use switch panels. Especially with saitek if you don’t shut off all switch’s after a flight. What’s more odd is it won’t happen every time.
I couldn't understand why anyone would buy a small bush plane when there were so many great free ones plus the defaults, but I bought them anyway and Fox2 with the big engine has turned out to be my absolute favourite followed closely by the Husky :) The longer I spend in it the more things I find to fiddle with - like you discovering the touchscreen. Now have a play with it and see how much it can do ! :) Then try the GotGravel Vertigo as a bush plane, if you think this is good that will blow your mind :)
See to me, the default ones bore me... I don't like cubs personally, and honestly, they're skin deep default aircraft... no real vibrancy or depth, no doors that work, no other features that fill out an aircraft. Plus i love aircraft like the husky, the kitfox, and others more for their shape, appeal, style...
oh my, you did the window maker left turn there in high terrain on climb out. very lucky indeed. looks like the plane has lots of issues, how they get it figured out (flight model, take-off roll, etc). Perhaps i could re-adjust some of the "sensetivity" settings? or what is the deal?
No real choice but to go left there , also factor the high winds in behaviour
I had a 1/4 share in a kitfox, G-FOXG on the UK register, have lots of happy hours in the plane. I’m hoping it arrives on XBOX!
I know what you mean about not wanting to fly without head tracking.
I've had a TrackIR for years, ever since the original IL2 and I would never fly without it. And then VR came along and I never want to fly without that now.
I still have my now very old TrackIR 3 set up though for those rare occasions I fancy dusting off FS9.
I have VR but don't want to fly with it as it messes with my other controls and kneepad stuff. I need that cockpit visibility outside the sim to fly.
@@AvAngel VR is totally the way I want to fly - but it's also super inconvenient for multitasking ( I'm always doing other stuff in cruise ), it's anti-social - can't really chat with the g/f. I think in reality - I fly 10% of the time in VR, and I'd really prefer 75% +
I save my VR for beatsabre and pistol whip etc :D I use it for enjoyment and fly normally.... that way I can use my ipad kneeboard or my e6b etc and drink tea! (most important bit)
Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask but are you planning to review the Ants Airplanes Drifter Ultralight? The burns from the CL-215 are still healing so would love to see your opinions before taking the plunge.
Yup! Tomorrow most likely!
Losing power and a plane like that must be the same cuz it happened to me in the g58 a few times
Very spicy! Do you have the freeware or payware version of Johnson Creek?
Pay from the marketplace
i had a plane in msfs2004 that had a girl passenger that could be set to several levels of comfort (fun, nervous, scared etc) that was always making comments on my flying, at first it was cute but it got annoying real fast LOL so i set her to fun setting amd left it there and that was whole lot better than having her complain but every little mistake - cant remember for sure but think it was the D0-27 bush plane, what i think was the best flight sim aircraft ever made, wish it would make a comeback in msfs 2020
The A2A cub? pretty sure that was fsx no? I loved that plane :D
@@AvAngel MSFS2004, NEVER USED FSX - the sim do-27 was way ahead of its time, custom flight dynamics that were way better than the sim incluiding accurate stalls and spins, every single button and control modeled including all the circuit breakers, all gauges custom made exact replicas, every vibration from engine modeled and the engine was just like real life with every change in speed, wind etc modeled perfectly, and it was realistic with wear and tear and damage, had to have it maintained on regular basis or it would fail, bug splats would occur on the windscreen during flight, had to clean the windscreen on occasion so you could see, etc, so realistically detailed in every way - and the sound set was best ever i heard - it could be configured for parachute drops with door coming off for it, and it had a tent and camp set up for bush camping, the maintenance was modeled with tools etc - and it had the girl passenger who was animated - just the very best made sim plane of all time in my opinion, i so want it back in msfs2020 really bad
The sim always suprises me was doing a 152 flight got on the back of the wasach mountains in salt lake utah airspeed went to zero plane just fell had a ground speed of 165 knots when it started flying again per foreflight. Asked a pilot friend and he confirmed it was mountain wave
That makes sense, the air can get real spicy in the mountains.
I keep wanting to get this but I’m using triple monitors and I’ve heard they don’t support it???
The sim ? Not sure if it wouldn’t work?
when landing the kitfox you wanna stall as you land and itll gently go down
it would in real life but asobo's flight model makes the wing drop way too soon
something is wrong with the flight model, this plane is wonky. savage gravvel might be the better bird.
@@dabneyoffermein595 all planes in msfs stall the same way, the kitfox shouldnt drop a wing because of the flaperons being offset downwards. This is something that the //42 devs cant fix, blame asobo
@@jakub-kube UGH, ok thanks. How disappointing. I was flying it at a friend house and was preparing to buy it went everything went haywire and it does just what you said, it's nuts. I just wish they had a way to userp the asobo code for certain parts.
@@dabneyoffermein595 hey, its still a great airplane. If youre looking for a bush ane you cant go wrong with the kitfox
its got quite a couple more features than the gotgravel planes (which by the way stall in the same exact way), and with the CFD update coming soon, its gonna be greater than ever
I'll bet you would break out the picnic basket and have a little picnic in that first valley in real life.
I totally would!
I cant turn on avionics on my kitfox...
I take it you're loving the recent updates that addressed "to-do's" that were listed at release!? ;-P //e
Yeah she’s becoming a must own
How do I activate the "Kitfox Manager?"
should be in the installed files unless you got it from orbx then its in their launcher.
@@AvAngel Finally read the bold print in MFS marketplace. The mod manager is not included.
Why can I hardly hear the engine?
It’s a surprisingly quiet engine plus you need to be able to hear me…
@@AvAngel Well, perhaps not actually need.......; }

♥w♥o♥w♥!!! You desperately need Promo>SM!!
Do read Grrravel's comments in the Stage 2 engine.cfg ; } Finesse your flare for the greaser.
I was running stage 1, I gave her a shot to bring the nose up but the winds were slapping me about something silly. I think it was the wider canyon here at Johnson, the bar we put on early on was fine.
i wish someone would make a good flying and more realistic cub type plane (Carbon Cub / Savage Grravel, etc.)
