Can we acknowledge how GOOD of a teacher she actually is? I mean, besides the ruthless killing of "misbehaving" children, all throughout her segment she is seen creating lesson plans. She prepares frogs for dissection, and even composes original music right before our eyes, in preparation for a music class. She maybe a horrible person, but you can never say she's a horrible teacher.

I feel like the little nightmares 2 is very metaphorical and how a child views the world especially with the teacher as in the saying "teachers have eyes behind their heads" and how the teacher with here long neck can hear or feel even the slightest misbehavior by anyone.
That's actually smart tho so the game might be seen thorough the eyes of children or these children

I don’t think she’s wearing a mask since her face seams seamless, and with all the ways we’ve seen her head from various contorted angles, we don’t see any evidence of her wearing one.

Maybe it’s stitched to the hair, making it seamless. Rogers mask fell downwards, and the chefs would lift theirs up to scratch their face. So there’s different ways they wear them. I think the teacher face looks like a mask, because the smile looks pinned up, and not natural

For me, the Teacher was the scariest boss in LN2. Those unblinking eyes and her long neck freaked me out. The piano composition scene was a nice touch, showing a different, artistic side to her. I hope we do see her in a future game, if another one is made in the series.

i agree, she fricking terrified me, but i looooved her piano playing. maybe im a bit biased because i just like pianists in general, but the pieece she was working on sounded so hopeful, yet eerie and sad

There really should be a video speculating as to WHY all the children in little nightmares are subsequently hunted or killed in the first place.
That’s what I want to know because how can there be a bunch of adults in the maw or pale city if kids are hunted before they grow up, and only a few are seen in the nest.

Considering Mono becomes the tall man and Six is seen becoming a monster, I thing alot of the moster may possibly be corrupted children, much like how the knomes are transformed children, but more self aware
@@tiahnarodriguez3809 Well look at mono. After growing up he went from the children’s side to the monsters side. It’s likely the kids lucky enough to get to grow up just become monsters, kind of like a metaphor for kids maturing and splitting up
@@ellis3320 I get that. I’m just wondering where all the kids who do grow up into adults come from? I doubt the school has that many kids, and based on the comics it looks like kids aren’t very abundant outside of pale city. I hope we get more details about the LN world in another game, or comic.
I think the signal deforms people into a form that's useful to it, "letting them go at a price" essentially. The teacher educating the bullies, using her neck as a means to keep them from escaping and misbehaving. The doctor using the ceiling for quicker access around the hospital and to his patients. The thin man/Mono's powers ultimately being used as a means to broadcast its influence in a loop. The viewers are just fodder, being absorbed by the eye to add to its mass and strength.
i think the Tower and its signal is the real villain, it distorts and twists everyone

I don't think the signal deformed those bosses. All the TV's around where they resided seemed to either be broken or not in use. I actually think they were actively avoiding the signal.
Why does she have normal skin
So a few details. She's very capable of teaching many subjects in various specialist areas. Music and science being the best examples. She also teaches bullies whose descriptions include that they are horrible with no reason for it, yet she gets them to behave. I get the vibe that she's teaching preteen-age children so she's a primary/elementary school teacher. There is a point in the game in the school where there is a whipping sound, I assume the ruler being put to use. I imagine the reason for the broken porcelain heads is from the ruler, it may not be fatal but it does severe damage, instilling fear in the children. So corporal punishment is her primary means of discipline.
Where I'm going with this. She's a very traditional old style of teacher isn't she? It may hint at the time period the universe is set in (as do the old style TVs). Also, she's very 'ideal' for that time period. Having to be good at all subject areas and making the boldest of children behave. Either she's extremely experienced at the profession or it may have been a byproduct of the TVs distortion. 'Making' her into the 'ideal' teacher persona.

@@mythical9163 totally could have been part of it, they also damage each other. Shown when Mono is going through the food hall. I feel as though the fat child killed them when he hit them though.
Yeah! In that time period when my parents grew up they would get beat at school for misbehaving, then making them behave. They grew up in the late 1950’s which may be around the time period Little Nightmares takes place in.
Finally someone questions the existence of the school. It's importance seems very out of place, it serves no purpose to the tower so, why? The bullies are the center of my attention, it was gnawing at me for a long time. WHY DO THEY EXIST?! Why teach porcelain children. There are children like Six, and Mono. Well the population of children kinda stops there, doesn't it? Other than the glitchy remains of deceased children, there are no other children seen alive. I find this important because (tho for important reasoning) there were children in the Maw, live children. The Pale City has the Bullies, fake children, the Bullies are porcelain children, dolls made to mimick the idea of children. As we see in the game the Bullies do have somewhat childlike behavior, all be it rowdy, even playing jump rope. But why, why imitate children? I don't think it's only for the Teacher's obsession for her profession, or at least I don't think it started out that way. I have reason to believe that the citizens of the Pale City had children at one point.
Think about it, there had to have been children in this city at one point, it's a city for crying out loud!
Perhaps the glitchy remains we see in the game weren't just passersby, but former citizens of the Pale City. But what happened to them? Perhaps they all died due to a similar cause, like an illness, the children of little nightmares do seem quite thin, and Six does seem to have a cough, maybe the children in the Maw are dying naturally? Or maybe it's something more sinister, if the Pale City did have children at some point, there are no longer children now, and the civilians seem to be hostile to children, we can insinuate what happened to their children. Gruesome. Did this happen during the transformation of the tower?
Well the Pale City's lighting is colored blue, a color associated with sadness and grieving. The entire environment seems to be grieving, and it is possible that every boss we see is grieving someone or something in some way.
Let's read the official description of the Viewers, "The Viewers live life through the screen and cannot imagine a world without it. All those wonderful colours, sounds and shapes, dancing before their eyes, mesmerising them, pacifying them, fattening them up. The Transmission gives them all they need, and demands only one thing in return..." this quote mentioned a price that the Transmission requires, while this could be their life force, I believe it may have somehow been their children, and their lifestyle is a result of their grieving. Using inanimate materials to fill the void of loss is a common problem we can find in our own society. It's familiar enough so that we can understand.
Now let's look at the patients, "The Patients cannot live with their selves. They look in the mirror and hate what stares back. Seeing nothing but the flaws and ugliness of nature, they beg The Doctor to fix them, to work his magic, and make them whole again." Now this could be seen as just a distaste for their looks as it suggests, but this could be more than just that. The patients "cannot live with themselves", I don't know about anyone else but this insinuates guilt to me, and in the context of this theory, this guilt can mean multiple things. When people we are close to die sometimes we tend to blame ourselves, ask what we could have done more, maybe this is what the patients are doing, or perhaps this is more sinister and implies direct guilt.
If we remember that the transmission deforms people into the worse version of themselves, if the patients committed an awful crime against their children then that would reflect in their deformed appearance. Maybe the patients were the parents of these children and even further deformed by their grief/guilt, thus leading them to seek out the doctor, to fill the void, to "make them whole again."
And to conclude my theory, the Bullies. I think the Bullies were a failed attempt to replace the children of the citizens. Clearly the Bullies are annoying demons, so they were sent to the Teacher, as implied by the beds in the school the Bullies reside in a boating school, commonly known to shape rowdy kids into discipline youths. If these Bullies are imitating children then we have to assume they have parents. Maybe the "parents" of these Bullies were hoping the discipline of the Teacher would shape the Bullies into suitable children for them.
But that didn't happen...

The Hanging man is really important
It couldn't have been mono though , it was probably the wax bellman considering concept art , in the secret secondary ending after collecting all the glitching remains you can see six and glitching remain six stare at a poster for the maw , and thin man / mono is still trapped in the loop while actual six proceeds to the maw while mono deals with loop six .

@@kitty..f six and mono in the loops are just loops progressing again , new characters , the mono that got betrayed last time becomes the knew thin man , it's just a loop for monos story , not sixes , once the six leaves the loop it's just kinda a reset imo , I believe the cutscene ending is original six though
If they’re going to do the best thing possible and make this game a trilogy, I’d imagine LN3 would be more focused on the eye. They fight to break the control of the eye to restore peace and sanity to the world lol

Actually, the teacher's ability to stretch her neck reminded me of this.....
when I was in elementary school having tests, the teacher would often say "stop being long neck giraffes" as in "do not cheat!" in Chinese.
Giraffes have long necks obviously, and when we cheat, we often look over to other student's papers, almost like we're being giraffes reaching for the trees to eat leaves.

That’a pretty cool. Maybe she’s raising the next generation of children to be fodder for the maw. I mean the cafeteria pretty much looked like a scene out of LN1 where the guests ate copious amounts of food.

I think an important thing to note about the teacher is that at the end she willingly gave up chasing you whitch is something we haven't seen from a little nightmares boss yet. Usually they either get killed or something makes it impossible for them to get to you
Did you forget that her neck is inside the vent? No point in chasing more. Her head need to get back to the body before anything bad happen and kill her.

The teacher isn’t just another creature, she’s a rokurokubi. A very specific yokai type. It fits the theme of the Japanese restraunt in the Maw.
someone pointed out when and where the pale city is and said itsmmainly formed around japanese shit or whatever. also the lady could have been born there considering she literally looks like a geisha like her hair, face, clothing and little nightmares is said to be kind of inspired by studio ghibli which is founded in japan.

If the hanging man and the teacher really were a couple, we could have a reason behind his suicide. When the signal came on, he could have fled to the maw and his wife either wanted to stay behind with the children, he could have thought that she died or knew the signal would destroy her mind. So he lost everything and took his own life.
I could imagine him writing letters to her like "darling plsss come to the maw with me. It's too dangerous there."
And she replies with, "shut up I'm teaching."

I truly agree with this, The teacher has to have some kind of connection with something, she just can't be random, sometimes I wonder if this " Teacher " that we really see, is just cause she's a lost soul to the tower. Back in the past, /here had to be a husbad and kids for her, or famliy alone, something must have happened to create her sanity, as we know she plays the piano to cope, she had stuff on her mind, she has to be important.
Although it sounds cute, he didn't die from suicide, although its implied with both the letter and the chair, there was one problem. The chair wasn't knocked over, which is essential for the suicide to work. It was a murder meant to look like a suicide

aside from the beating of children, she is actually a pretty good teacher (constantly preparing lesson plans, making ORIGINAL songs for music class, etc..) she seemed to be very passionate about her work before she fell under the influence of the signal tower. i think this is part of what the game is trying to tell us, you become the thing you fear the most. the signal tower uses something you LOVE to turn you into something you hate, like what happened with six towards the end. in the teacher’s case the signal tower used her passion for teaching children

I just want to know why she didn’t die but all the other bosses did die. The hunter got shot, doctor was burned alive, but what happened to the teacher? And it sucks cause the devs said they wouldn’t make another LN game. Also I believe the “hanging man” is Mono (“thin man”)
It’s the formula they use for LN series. Both the Janitor in the LN DLC and the chefs in LN were untouched (though the Janitor had his arms chopped off in LN). It’s just what they do with the second boss.
I don't know if this is true or not because I don't actually have LN2... but I remember someone saying that you can choose not to burn the doctor? After you trap him in the incinerator, you can apparently just leave him and go, but I haven't seen proof of this so take it with a grain of salt.
@@bagelisdead No, I do this all the time. You can choose not to burn the doctor. But the game strongly suggests you should by, you know, locking him in an incinerator.
The sad thing is, when you finish the game, you wished you played it again not knowing the ending
The teacher is likely a Rokurokubi - a japanese yōkai (most of the time) usually depicted as a woman who looks human, but has a neck that stretches when they are asleep. They're usually associated with karma as well. In some stories, rokurokubi are not a yōkai, but rather people who have an affliction that affects the body. For example, the Edo period author Ban Kōkei in his work "Kanden Kōhitsu" told a tale of a geisha at the Yoshiwara brothel whose neck would elongate in her sleep. It stated that her neck stretched to due her "heart becoming loose"
Hear me out but if you know the little nightmares last dlc about the lady's residence you could surely see painting of the teacher, doctor, and other mysterious creatures that we see throughout the world of little nightmares, im kind of curious on why the lady has pictures of different people outside the maw, i think it could be possible that six will encounter the other people we see in the lady's painting puzzle room, as we see her encountering the teacher and the doctor, which you coule clearly see that the lady has a painting of them in her room which the runaway kid solves it, could it also be a teaser about the upcoming bosses? If they will ever create a little nightmares 3, anyways i just wanna point this out since i dont think many people know or noticed about the last dlc of little nightmares
The teacher wears a mask, that’s why she doesn’t blink. Under That mask I presume she has a viewer face. She makes the same noises as the viewers and walks the same. Her power is just a bit different, meaning maybe she spent a lot more time in front of a tv
I had a teacher like this once...I don’t mean the long neck, but one of my teachers was just as cruel and disheartening as this one. She was very frightening.
Maybe the teacher is the pretender's mother? Pretender means "a person who claims or aspires to a title or position", so if the teacher was The Lady's sister, the Pretender could be heir to the Maw. And if the hanging man is her dad, it gives him a reason to be on the Maw.
Also, remember how everyone thought Six was The Lady's daughter because there's pictures of a girl in a yellow raincoat in her room? Maybe The Girl in the Yellow Raincoat from Very Little Nightmares is her, and she is known by the children on the Maw (there are drawings of her that can be found I'm pretty sure) and escaped the Maw in a hot air balloon that crashed in the Nest.
i would like to see some fan art of the prediction of how she looked before the loop or eye same with some of the other monsters with humanoid faces

A strange thing I saw in a video where the game was in first person is that the Teacher is hitting herself when we hear her hitting something with a ruler. This happens when Mono hides in the celling. She is hitting herself which makes me think the Teacher is aware she has been changed and hates herself. I also think the monsters are obsessed with something in there lives (ie being a teacher, the music box for six, revenge for mono, ect) and that obsession is manipulated by the eye monster. It feeds off their obsession or infatuation with something and that morphs them into something else. The Eye monster does this by using Mono's power and making it's self a signal tower to amplify the corrupting signal. SO many good theory's and clues in the game!
ALSO ANYONE NOTICE THE PORTRAITE AT 5:42 IN THE VIDEO? His picture is seen through the ENTIRE game and he seems to be important to the world. Multiples of this picture is in the Hunters House, The School, The hospital, and the Pale City. It is always in a place you can't miss it as the player so I feel like the devs want us to remember that face.

the teacher was my favourite antagonist in the entire franchise simply because of how strange yet cool she is.

The school level really felt like something I would've considered a nightmare as a child; a teacher whose scribbles on the board make no sense, only cares about bad behavior within her domain, couldn't care less for any hostility or bullying outside her classroom and aggression or at least unhelpful otherwise. The level certainly feels like it was from the perspective of a victim of bullying and during a time where adults (especially teachers) weren't as concerned with such a thing. The hairstyles of the women throughout the series are either very timeless or a bit retro, possibly pointing to the series taking place when such nightmares would be more likely to be a reality.
I do like the idea that children can't be controlled by the eye monster and this results in so much hostility towards them. I just don't think it would be very sustainable because then the eye won't be able to control them once they're old enough to do so. Though the hostility also makes sense if there's a fear that children can use their immunity to fight back and stop the eye monster and I guess this means the eye monster isn't concerned with maintaining generations of control.
A little fun fact about the Teacher, when you're in the room where she's playing piano and Six and Mono are opening the door to the vent, if you let Six try and open the vent and wait until the Teacher stops playing, she'll hear Six and come up there with her neck. If you take that time and jump down from where the vent is, she'll aim for Six, not you. The Teacher and the Bullies are one of the only monsters who aim for Six over Mono in LN2. Just a fun little fact I thought I'd share

On a completly Unrelated note I just realised that the Chair that Mono & and The Thin Man sit on is the same as the Chair from the First game with the Hanged Man.
How do you know its the same chair? Yall assume that since there's a single similarity everything is related? Like the girl who stands near a skirt and a guy with a shoes, how does a woman wearing a skirt make it the teacher? It makes no sense to make that connection

I noticed that the hanging man’s chair was the exact same chair as the one Mono sat in and became the Thin Man. As well, the door in the hanging man’s room had an eye on it like the one in the Thin Man’s room. Plus both the Thin Man and the hanging man are very lengthy and thin. Just something to point out.
Idk if you noticed but the chair the hanging man used to hang himself is the same chair Mono sits on in the end of Little nightmares 2. It has the same colour, the same shape, even the same little scratch on the left side.
Here's a theory that just POOFED into my head. Idk EVERY little detail about all of the Little Nightmares games, but based on the picture of The Pretender child and the two adults standing beside her, I feel like I know why the hanging man is, well, hanging.

Just a little thought, but perhaps The Hanging Man and The Teacher were The Pretender's parents? From what I understand, The Pretender is a homicidal child that attempts to kill The Girl in the Yellow Raincoat at the end of Very Little Nightmares. Maybe she was taught to be so malicious by her mother, The Teacher? We see the way The Teacher nurtures her porcelain pupils in the Pale City School, so it would make sense, right?
At the end of Very Little Nightmares, both The Pretender and The Girl in the Yellow Raincoat fall off of the cliffside of The Nest to their (possible) deaths. What if The Hanging Man got word of this and committed suicide due to grief, and the letter found by his feet was for his spouse, The Teacher???

10:30 gave me an idea. Maybe that's accurate! Children always obey in front of the "smiling" teacher but are more relentless behind their back. They are also often afraid of doctors thus the doctor. Most can say that adults watch too much television which makes them abusive (viewers). They can even be terrified of growing up to be like their poorly behaving parents (mono turning into thin man). When it comes to why the "monsters" seemingly prefer dolls over actual children, I would argue it's because of how kids can hold this idea that adults only want "perfect, obedient, and quiet" children. Kids are often punished or reprimanded for "being too active," "too rough" and even "being too unique" . The dolls then are the representation of the "perfect child", clean, pure, never talks back, always listens to what they're told, and (most importantly) can become whatever the adult wants them to be.
As for the Porcelain Bullies behaviors, it could be a representation of how school bullies often get away with their harassment. They behave themselves in front of the teacher, but start acting wild as soon as the teacher is gone. School kids who are victims of bullying often feel that teachers don't do anything substantial against bullying when it doesn't happen right in front of them, or they turn a blind eye to the harassment because the bully is "so well behaved in class".
This long neck thing reminds me of one of the creatures in japanese folklore called Rokurokubi. This creature at daytime look like any other human (mostly women) but at night they neck can stretch out as long as they want. There is another almost similar creatute Nukekubi, the difference is that at night their heads gets de attached from their body and wanders around freely but if they can't find their body until the sun rises they die. They believed you can get rid of Nukekubi if you hide her body while her head wonders around at night.
Possibly a bit off topic, but this came to my mind from this character.
When I first saw the Teacher : Oh My Gosh they literally made a Rokurokubi as a teacher, this fits perfectly well with most teachers who always have their eyes on their students and Rokurokubi are known to always have their eyes on their victims due to their long necks

Fact: if you get into the first person mod (you can WaTcH it from nikko channel) in one part, you can see teacher hitting herself with her ruler. İts not likely a glitch, they even put animation of it into the game
Maybe the children are not affected by the eye because they don't have a purpose yet. They haven't got addicted to the TV, or dedicated themselves to research, teaching, building, etc. The Eye therefore has no material to work with. Six would be an exception because of her obsession with the music box.
I was watching a playthrough of The Residence dlc, and in the painting puzzle,
was when I first noticed the Teacher had a portrait.

I think you are spot on with a lot of these theories.
The little nightmares story thematically seems to really be about conforming children to the norms of society.
They are taken because they are innocent and are purely vulnerable to being changed into what the society wants them to be.
Yet in their young age, they still see life differently and try to escape what society wants them to become.
The adults who have already been conformed are simply used up for what the "the man" wants them to be used for. Both metaphorically in the real world and in the story.
And then when that old generation dies out, they are simply replaced by the conformed children, and the cycle starts again.
I have been wondering a lot about what the story its self is actually trying to say about the world, and not just what it is, and I think we are kind of onto something here.
I feel like we should call the protagonist in Very little nightmare 0 because maybe she was the real original protagonist also if there is a dlc I hope it’s a girl this time maybe the Cloaked kid or maybe the girl from the Hospital or maybe the Toddler we can see his story

Stella D, thats the story of my life, good thing that i garduated.
I can't help notice the relation between her and the Hangedman, maybe her stretched neck and the nooses around the level is a reflection of her trying to follow his example but potentially failing because the distortion of her body just made her neck elongate no matter how much of a drop she attempted.
The monsters are trying to do the humans' jobs, but they don't seem to do it well, that is why the teacher is drawing things that doesn't make any sense, or cannot play the piano very well

What if The Teacher’s eyes were sewn by her eyelids? In some photographs, her eyes are constantly looking down, and not directly at the camera while other photographs are. It’s only natural that human look down in need of moisture for their eyes. And, The Teacher never blinks and she has the ability to move her mouth (so no evidence of a mask like many antagonists/nightmares). Some people theorize she doesn’t blink to not miss any detail, and that sounds plausible, but I rather go with the theory her eyes were sewn by her eyelids. Although, I haven’t gotten the chance to *actually* look closer at The Teacher’s face, so I can’t confirm my theory.

I JUST REALIZED-what if the teacher is a Rokurokubi? Its an urban legend from japan where they appear to be ordinary people during the day but at night their necks to extremely long lengths. They also drink lamp oil at nigh but that’s besides the point-Rokurokubis are people who have done a great sin and are cursed by the gods, this being the punishment. There is also the King in the chess room where the kid looks a lot like the bullies but the thing is, the bullies can only be killed if their heads are smashed or removed from their bodies. So what if the bullies were modeled after the king/that kid, he being a REAL human child. If you pay attention his eyes are closed and he’s tied to the chess piece. What if SHE was the one who tied him there which caused him to pass away from the lack of food or something. What if that was her great sin causing her to become the Rokurokubi?

Exactly, the teacher may be scary, but she has no control, that tower screwed her up, but playing that piano shows some kind of nice humanity in her that no others really have ( bosses wise )

Don't worry, it's not Mono. It's confirmed that Mono is stuck in a time loop and we know how Mono's story ends with Mono killing the Thin Man and becoming the Thin Man. Since it's a time loop, it's impossible for him to kill himself (besides the actual fight where Mono kills Thin Man)
No one ever talked about how six is unaffected by the TVs and signal . Considering this game is a prequel and six didn’t consume the lady’s power yet
My understanding of the little nightmares universe is that children aren't actually hated, but rather the things they bring are hated. In the comics, there are several entities hunting for kids, some hunt them for fun, like the north wind, while others hunt them to keep them "safe". The maw doesn't kill kids, they kill escapees. The kids are treated relatively well and are fed, clothed, and sheltered. The only reason roger tries to stop you is that kids escaping may lead an entity to the maw and destroy it. The maw probably only accepts visitors as a facade to keep the north wind and such away by tricking it into believing it's just a floating restaurant. Also the lady doesn't kill kids, she turns them into gnomes. This could be to remove the troublemakers without 'removing them'. And the place from really little nightmares probably ships out the children to the maw if they don't cause trouble and turns the rest into dolls. And some more evidence is that the two chefs look like brothers, they are very young-ish and seem to use the same sized beds as the rest of the kids; implying they were imprisoned kids at the maw. And even though they kill you, it's probably because they see you as a pest like a rat or roach since they probably aren't used to kids being bright yellow and shiny. The boatman is also really friendly compared to the other people in the universe, he even asks if the kid wants to go to the maw before taking them. The maw might be trying to save kids from certain entities.

There are more pictures like that, the faces of the bullies look like a Nomes Body. I think this should be a hint that there is a possibility that "bad children" could be turned into Nomes.

I think this is actually a prequel to the first game/DLC.
The Teacher is seen drawing a maw on the chalkboard. Could she have designed it? Is this why she is shown in oil paints in the depths of the maw?
Six also finds her raincoat as well.
The Signal Tower got too out of hand and many died, so the Teacher and many other built the maw where only few lived. Things like the doctors masks and the Teachers rope were also packed on. Teacher had died as she was seasick as the maw traveled.
