Just to clear something out, SHADOW 6 was not created at the end, shadow 6 was already within 6, THE THIN MAN separated the SHADOW from 6 when he kidnapped her, (or at least that’s what it looks like). the shadow was then left outside the radio tower realm, 6 then uses the transmission to get back to her shadow, in the same room, TO BE REUNITED, maybe that’s why she dropped Mono, for safe keeping. Again take this with a grain of salt, it’s my personal theory
Tbh... At the secret ending where shadow six fades away, I would think six can't reunite with it. When six grabbed Mono before dropping him, we know she absorbed the Lady's abilities in the original game. I think six absorbed a bit of Mono's powers to get out of the signal tower through a television screen, I theorize that by absorbing Mono's powers, she lost the chance to get her glitching rain back into her body, causing this emptiness and hunger for something to fill the void. That's why she needs to eat, that's why she slowly resorted to eating love people until she absorbed the lady's abilities, granting her the ability to fill in the void until she deemed she was satisfied
My theory is that Six is dreaming of a nightmare where all her nightmares have crossed to the physical world and overlapped to create Little Nightmares World. She may not remember her nightmares, but they do and they chase her. Maybe Mono was another nightmare among the few she had in which she betrays him, Six just wakes up IRL and the nightmare ends. But the nightmare remains in her inner mind, Mono turns into the thin man overtime waiting for her to dream of him again. So happened, Six dreamed of that nightmare where all her nightmares came true, Mono unknowingly released the thin man, and now it's his chance to come after her. so I think Six realized that if she rescued Mono, then Mono is the only one who will cross the TV because he is the only one who has that ability and she will die alone, so I think that she somehow absorbed his powers on the bridge so she can cross the TV and survive! And Mono lost his ability to transport to catch up with six or even to survive. you can notice that the thin man appeared to be glitched at the beginning of the game as evidence that he can transport and go to wherever he wants but Mono or (the new thin man) seems to look like a normal human in despair.
And btw about your saying on how they’ve confirmed the game is a sequel you need to remember that it could be a marketing strategy “.for instance I went the entire game thinking it was a sequel and to get the thin mans hat right before me and my sis finished the game I went back to get all the glitched children not knowing a secret ending would be rewarded to me. When I seen the ending I was sad for mono but then the secret ending appeared I saw it and I didn’t understand it much Until I went to super horror bro who is also a UA-camr and when he said it was probably a prequel it all clicked and I finally understood the ending
My theory is they say it’s a sequel because its a spoiler to say it’s a prequel and that could ruin the game for others. But also every game that is a second game in a series will always be defined as sequel but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible for it to be a prequel to the story
For example. Fnaf 1 came first and fnaf 2 came second but with the theory’s and info discussed it is thought that the second game of the fnaf series took place before fnaf 1
All the kids becomes the villains of little nightmare, six becomes lady, mono becomes thin man, deformed boy becomes (boat man) farry man, fat boy becomes doctor, pigtail girl becomes the teacher, n last boy from woods becomes the hunter(comic)
Basically its a loop. And all the monsters in the game are the kids that tried to escape but failed so they were forced to stay and became the deformed monsters. So when six let mono fall. He became thin man. After. The lady whos in control of the maw was six in the future. So after six let go of mono. She went and killed the lady then after years six became exactly like the lady. And mono became the thin man. In conclusion thin man is future mono and he was trying to save mono from become thin man. So he tried to take six away so mono can survive and stop the loop. Basically six just used mono to survive. Everythings a loop. And then again there mini selvs come again and they both kill their future selvs. And then they become them and then the loop goes over and over again. Mono keeps killing his future self and six keeps killing her future selfs and again and again. Was this easier sorry im not great at explaining.
Well gurl also theyre nightmares now as their predecessors try to keep them from taking their place they try to lock them up or kill them and give them to obese gluttons for food
@@cofi7066 Wait, I thought Fnafs story didn’t make sense or did I miss something? I know there is a new game for a while but it didn’t look ... as appealing to me as the other five.
I believe when mono becomes trapped in that room, time operates differently and he’s trapped until the mono opens the door again letting him out . But I believe this takes place after the first game and not a prequel like everyone thinks so. I think it takes place after the first game but this time loop that happens to mono loops back to the beginning of this game where 6 can keep on going on with her life . ( EDITED) TO SUM IT UP when hes trapped in the room by being left by 6 , hes trapped until , the momo we play as let him out buts its a infinte loop that only momo is stuck in and not 6, 6 is a part of it but her story doesnt end or loop there.
unf from what I heard little nightmares 2 was there last piece of work of the little nightmare series We may never see anything else from them on this topic.
Here is my theory: both Little nightmare 1 and 2 are the loop for both Mono and Six, but it was a generation loop with Six who will be the Sixth Lady, and Mono became the Sixth Thin man. If you pay attention to the details in the first game, there was a picture with The Lady and the other 4 Ladies(a total of 5), then it comes with Six. Both of the Maw and Signal tower need a host, those will be Thin Man and Lady. So we may have a game that took place after Six realized she was made a huge mistake to Mono, and come back to the city and facing with The Thin Man- Mono Edited: wow thank you guys for all the opinions and likes
Yeah it’s definitely interesting how mono and six face two of the main antagonists of this series and beat them. It’s also interesting how both of them knew how to beat those antagonists. I personally think a time loop is happening or at the very least a generational curse where the successor ends up killing the current person in power.
i think it's a different case for the 2. true it is a loop for both. but i think six doesn't become the lady. but rather the lady keeps being consumed by her little nightmare thus the maw ends up not having a host. and mono keep growing out of his nightmare and becomes the thin man to become the host and that can distort spacetime to prevent six from consuming the lady but gets killed off by his past self as he travels to the past by using his past self to open a portal to the past
@@lunarexplosion4948 you have to take note that six has to consume the lady to get the power. when mono already have it prior to becoming the thin man i think it's a different case for the two. mono becoming the thin man where he gets killed by his past self and six being the lady's nightmare that is out to get her power. when the lady is consumed by her nightmare. the maw ceases to have it's host. and thus the time loop to undo this ending becomes necessary
@@archzrga6501 something i started to think is that a loop was created but it’s unclear when it i’m being honest. i could easily say it happened when mono was dropped but that makes no sense since there was never a second one to begin with. my theory was that six is in mono’s loop so in a way she’s also in a loop. in order for the loop to continue mono must save six constantly with the thin man always wanting to stop them. and there’s a possibility that the thin man never existed but was created after mono was dropped. but it’s a shaky theory for sure since i’m sure we don’t have all the pieces yet. it feels a bit too soon to construct a timeline.
@@lunarexplosion4948 mine is a little loopy as well. but i like to think that the loop only started when mono pulled the thin man out of the TV. at that point time starts to distort which is why we are seeing a glimpse of the future and thanks to the suitcase at the bossfight, speculations that the hanged man from the first game is the actual physical form of the thin man. and for some unknown reason, ends up dead. and in some unknown time, has created his little nightmare in the form of mono.
I like how in some point of this video he actually gives an idea that maybe instead of assuming the thin man is evil and full of hate, he is actually trying to keep six away to prevent monos inevitable ending
When The thin man is trying to get Mono he probably would have told him that he was becoming him and it will only happen if six lets go of him. And i think he took six because he was lonely and so that he could explain to her what would happen.
I think he might have took her to protect her from whatever was trying to turn her into the creature, or at the very least all he was trying to do when set free was break the loop once and for all
Perhaps he took six because, if mono is the thin man “in the future,” the thin man (which is mono) was trying to keep six from betraying him at the end as she does in LN 2 which perhaps would change Mono’s fate of becoming the thin man.
I think six thought mono was the thin man now that she got to see his face and she was afraid she would be in danger since Mono and thin man have the same powers but I'm still kinda upset she dropped him off the cliff poor mono, (;へ:)
@@ಠಿ_ಠ-ಠ7ದ i doubt that. I believe what actually happened was that Six is known for holding grudges against people. First the bullies who captured her, who she ended up killing, and seems to feel no remorse by killing the people who hurt her (take her chilling by the fire they killed the doctor in as an example). Since Mono had destroyed her music box, which was her comfort, she was mad af and let him go
When you said Mono hides his face it reminded me of the last chapter in little nightmares 2. Six sees Mono without his bag or hat or anything in the tower. She looks sharply at him before they both run when she is set free of the control from the tower. Maybe she realizes Mano is the thin man and leaves him behind.
Yeah why would Mono turn into the thin man otherwise or maybe the tower chooses a person to become the thin man and six knew he was the next thin man so she let go or she's just evil and did that because she's a loner and only needs her shadow
But then again, why would the Thin Man capture himself? Because Mono gets caught by the Thin Man if he is too slow. So if the Thin Man knew he was Future Mono, why does he try to kill himself every chance he gets. Also what if Shadow Six is actually the GOOD part of Six. Because without Shadow Six, Six proceeds to drop Mono into the abbess. So that gives us a hint that Six is just evil without her shadow. But that is just a theory.
@@freezerlmao i watched a video that explains this. The thin man (mono) is trying to capture six because she betrayed him. if he gets rid of her, then his younger self can escape through the mirror at the end and the tower will also be destroyed. i’m not the best at explaining lol
Here what i think. The ending of VLN when the raincoat floats on the water was a sign to show that she died and six escaped, remember yall it doesn’t show six grabbing the coat. Six eventually drifts off to the pale city and thats when she gets captured by the hunter and the whole LN2 events happens. This is when we can tie in the comics events until LN1 happens and six kills the lady. When six picked the raincoat up she must’ve remembered the events of VLN and took the coat of the person who saved her. Which makes the order VLN LN2 LN1
@@JoshuaTanzil yea thats when it gets tricky for me they was probably saying its a sequel as how the whole time loop thing is because since the story is a loop it has no official ending or beginning
I’m starting to think Little Nightmares isn’t linear at all. It seems like things like finding the raincoat will just happen no matter where she goes, as if it’s following her and a reminder she will never escape. They’re all destined and doomed
That does not make sense. Many people make theories that do not seem to add up. Should be backed up with support from what actually happened and not someone's thoughts just because it sounds good.
@@GlamClan-xe3zi Because it really is confusing to come up with the theories that just satisfy one's self and do not really make sense to the actual canon.
My take was always that it was quite literally about kids growing up and that they're trying to escape their destinies as adults, something happens where their innocence is taken from them and they're forced to become the monsters they're most afraid of. The developers kept emphasizing the children's perspectives things are likely way more alien to the kids than they probably are.
Here’s what I think happened with the ending at least: Six was captured by the Thin Man because of what she did to him when he was young. She betrayed him and he wanted revenge after having sat there by himself for so long. Which is why when he comes out of the TV he goes for Six first. While inside, Six is tortured by the Thin Man to the point where she becomes a distorted version of herself. Which is why when mono comes to save her, she freaks out every time she hears his voice. It’s because of the trauma from that torture she went through. After Mono saves her, she drops him because she gets a good look at his face when she’s holding his hand off the edge of the collapsed bridge. She wants to save mono, but her memories of the Thin Man and what he does to her stops her from doing so and she drops him. It’s an endless loop of spite and hatred. Then, as mono sits there on that chair, his feelings of hatred grow stronger and now he wants revenge against six for betraying him and leaving him to die.
If Little Nightmares 2 is indeed a sequel, then it means that the secret cutscene at the end of the game signifies that Shadow Six is hinting to Six to go back to the Maw for some unknown reason (maybe to take the Lady's place as the new Lady). The time loop theory seems even more plausible, now. Mono ends up becoming the Thin Man so that he can prevent his future younger self from interacting with Six, which would result in her betraying Mono and dropping him to his doom as an act of betrayal. He even goes as far as to kidnap her away from Mono, to isolate her from interacting with Mono. The moment in the time loop when Six drops Mono is also the moment that would then in turn make that time loop's Six become the next Lady of the Maw.
I have a theory that the pretender survived after falling with the unnamed girl into the ocean as there are clothes litrally just scattered in the city as though they have vanished on the spot in little nightmares 2
I have a theory that 6 dropped Mono because she saw his face. Mono’s description says he has the bag on his head because everyone who sees his face tends to dislike him or whatever. Right before 6 lets go of Mono’s hands she takes a good look at his face and releases her grip. Maybe thats why she betrayed him...
She either saw that he was going to become the new thin man and left him to die (but just continued the cycle) or wanted revenge for her getting taken and destroying the music box
@@Mairoulitsa98 its cause its the thing that makes her become a monster its common sense for example if you see someone being controled by some sort of machine that you saw you will likely destroy it
@@kit4796 she didnt get it though.. it floated away. And in the beginning in the comics of ln2 she clearly doesnt have it yet. Sure that leaves the question as to how the jacket got there but it makes way more sense
@@tgf2586 it's heavily implied she collected it after it floated to the surface. Six already wears the raincoat in the comics. It doesn't make sense because the developers are idiots that never knew what the story really was
There’s theories that the Thin Man wanted/wants to break the cycle. I noticed that in the start of LN1, you play as Six and a couple minutes in, you enter this room with a person with long legs and there is a chair under him. My guess is that Mono didn’t know how to break it because every time he tried to stop his younger self, he never caught him. So, he hung himself.
@@sheilaa5298 Disagreeing. Thin man Mono wouldn't just hang himself. He would probably stay in Pale City to try stopping the next 'Mono' defeating him, getting trapped and continuing the loop
Seemed like they took the direction like Fromsoftware did with dark souls, demon souls etc. Showing you a lot, vague hints and the end will never let you know what happens to keep the mystery
my personal theory is that six goes from VLN straight to LN2 then her shadow self leads her to the maw to resolve her hunger. THEN the comics with her in the raincoat and finally LN1
@@jordini10 I think its up for interpretation, even if the devs said its a sequel, it could be just to throw us off or a sequel in a sense that its the next installment
After vln, I think six goes to the place (island or city) with the hunter house Is located before going into ln2 on a raft she finds from vln because In the comics, she sees a raft and travels somewhere. In ln2, she sees mono for the first time, and that’s how she got caught before they escaped on a door to the pale city. After the mono situation, Six goes somewhere trying to get to the maw and eventually come across the ferryman in the pale city, who takes her to the maw on a boat
I just wanna see the big baddies of this universe. The eyeball beast was a good start but with how screwed up this world looks, it can't be the only eldritch deity there. What monsters are giving these kids their powers?
The eye monster is actually the signal tower who absorbs the body of people in pale city by making them stare to the TVs. Signal tower is actually a living thing i think...
I think it's some kind of other Dimension. Thats why there is no normal time and space and it looks like some other realm. Some Lovecraftian Eldrich Thing lived there and throw one way or another it was able to "infect" the normal tv signals and use them to worp our reality and devour the people. First hypnotizes them and eating their mind and soul and then adds their bodies to it's fleshy mass. Thats why the cloaths lay around. The people taken into the other world by the being
This explains in the end when six betrayed him. Every time six caught him when he jumped he had his mask on but in the end when he had his mask off and she actually looked at him she can probably see that he was really the thin man and it scared her and she let them go
I’m still convinced that LN2 is a prequel. Six doesn’t have the powers, the hunger and the raincoat yet and the after credits scene clearly shows us that she’s gonna go to the Maw after this. So I really don’t understand why people keep ignoring or dismiss those clues.
What clues? 1-The tower is blocking her power(or bc she doesnt have her raincoat or it only work in the maw). 2- when she left the maw and went to the city she dropped it because it can make her easily visible by the enemy so she dropped it to avoid being capture. 3- seeing the maw in the end could mean LN3 will be about the maw. Or maybe go back there to eat or go find the city where the fat guests came from so maybe LN3 is in the guests city? I dont see any clue that say its prequel or time loop. Mono turning into thin man doesnt mean he is thin man. Think about it six also become thin in her monster form look at her hands and legs. So this mean whoever stay long in the tower will become thin and tall. Thin man is taller than normal people in the city so it’s impossible for mono to normally grow into thin man. I know its confusing but if you played LN1 and VLN you should know that if a clue is obvious, it’s probably a trap. Thats my theory.
@@evilshadowshadow1249 yes that's true, it has to be a sequel, the developers even said the events of little nightmares 2 take place after little nightmares 1
@Dim990 I agree with you Dim990. I think the developers either made a stake in story telling or don't know what they are talking about. People have yet to understand that just because a developer said something, doesn't mean it's always correct. I have seen developers say that one character they made is stronger than another but in the anime you see the other character showing superior feats and ability proving the developers statement to be wrong. People are saying she left the raincoat there which they can't prove and doesn't make sense as wind can carry clothes, people could spot it, other little people can find it and other factors. Some say the tower blocks six's powers but there's no proof of that either or any hints that six's powers are restricted to the maw only. I believe that little nightmare 2 is a prequel for a number of reasons and that the developers messed up unless they can come out and not say it but prove it. At the end of the day it's just a little video game, not real life so I'm not going to do not big investigation or whatever.
@@evilshadowshadow1249 i disagree. Here's my counter to your points. 1. The tower seem more like a place that only amplifiers then thin mans powers and to keep him inside. 2. Why would she drop her raincoat when it's shown that the people who get caught get their body's zapped or immediately after Just being touched. It's more likely she found some random raincoat that ised to belong to someone else. 3. Why would she go back to the maw? Everyone on there is ether dead or mangled up. It makes more sense that she when there willingly after feel hungry or was captured like in the comics.
I'm just shooting in the dark but, the games feel like they're sending a message about life and death. All the enemies in the games try to grab the children you play as, be them puppets or thin creepy people, this kind of creates the idea of clinging to life, they are starving for youth and an extended life time. I think this is supported by the dolls, inanimate immortal beings, everyone is trying to create them possibly as they thirst for immortality. Furthermore, there is a seeming emphasise on child purity, the kids are expected to be perfect or their killed, maybe showing the expectations people have for kids. Adults see how they have so much more life ahead of them and this resultant jealously weaves into that idea of desperation for life.
Here me out. Has anybody noticed how the thin man looks like the hanging man in little nightmares one? I dont know, but there seems to be some sort of relationship between six and the thin man- mono also protects her like a father, who as we know is the hanging man in little nightmares one. If, like many theories suggest, mono becomes the thin man and six becomes the lady in nightmares 1, it seems like the children are stuck in some sort of never-ending loop- or NIGHTMARE, that they cant escape from. They are afraid of what they will become- and every time try to change the story. If theres a nightmares three, it may be that they finally find a way out of the loop. Like in many dreams and nightmares, the timeline is messed up, makin it possible that in this world they are their own parents. Perhaps influenced by their real-life parents treating them badly. I dont know for sure- in my head this sounds big-brain but I might just be talking nonsense- hear me out though, there might be an element of truth in this. EDIT: after further research, I realize the weird fleshy eyes are the nightmare. The signal tower is the room were mono is trapped along with the nightmare as he grows into the thin man, the door we see at the beginning and through transitions is the door to the signal tower and the room the now-thin man is trapped in. The eyes make sure that everything happens as it should- since the eyes are the nightmare- the nightmare wants to ensure it never ends- that is why the eyes have control over everything in this world and is fueled by fear. Since the eyes are fueled by fear, they want to make sure that the fear of the nightmare continues. The music box room is where six feels SAFE. It is my belief that the nightmare is what convinces mono to 'save' six. Mono thinks he is doing the right thing by saving six, but if six was to STAY in her safe space the nightmare would die out. Everything is planned to fuel the nightmare. In fact- i think that the thin man was in The Maw at some point- since he could travel between past and future. But the nightmare killed him and hung him before six managed to pass. Mono was closer to saving six in his thin man form. 🤯🤯🤯 This might all be a load of nonsense as i said before though.
this is such a cool way to look at it and it’s the first theory i’ve heard like this!! i love the original idea and the part ab mono as thin man going to the maw but the nightmare kills him and he bangs himself before he can help six, you’re brilliant bahaha i love it
Yeah if we go by the theory that six (the lady) dropped mono because he broke her music box Then she probably realized that he did it for her own good but it's too late now But the thin man on the other hand dude literally warped reality to get rid of her so I highly doubt that they will make a good mates

that’s what’s confusing me lol. if the time loop was a thing then Six either would have to start from when she showed up in Very Little Nightmares, and then go all the way to the end of LM2. at that point he says she goes back to the maw (which took place in LM1) to become the lady again and continue the time loop. but that doesn’t make sense. if that was the case then she would have her powers in the story of LM1 and there would be no lady. i don’t think that the end of LM2 is the end of her time loop. i think there’s more that we havnt seen.
@@codfish2178 i dont think she went to the maw after VLN instead drifted to the pale city because she wouldn’t know how to get to the maw. I think once she got to land she got captured by the hunter and mono rescues her. Thus LN2 happens then LN1
@@codfish2178 my theory is that the powers ultimately come from the eye(s) and that gaining them/having them become stronger is a sign that you’ve given in to the lure of the monster/are being corrupted by it. When you live a nightmare, who wouldn’t invite the monster inside so as to stop the fear or prevent ones own death? If they’re trapped in some sort of nightmare world (cough lovecraftian horror cough) then maybe every time they die, the world ‘resets’ them. They don’t remember their prior life except as moments of unease or dejavu or intuition. The world gets to ‘watch’ them try again and again, eternally trying to escape, never managing it, eventually becoming corrupted and consumed only to be reset to be played with again. (But the world does keep mementos of all its toys’ prior attempts, including their drawings.)
Jack mentioned in his playthrough that the person you see hanging in one of the very first rooms of LN1 looks like the thin man and is hanging above a chair identical to the one he is sat on in LN2. That would suggest that LN2 comes before LN1 but begs the question of how the thin man got to the Maw in order to hang himself? Only thing I can think is that the depths seem like a place that transcend space and time so he could have teleported there?
I think in the fight between mono and thin man, thin man loses as he doesn't want to hurt his younger self whereas young mono is eager to survive and kill the thin man.
Well I saw there was a theory that when Six was holding on to Mono at the end of 2 she held on just enough to drain his powers to travel through the tv at the right of the screen which is the only way out. Because only Mono would’ve been able to escape the tower because the exit was a TV and because at the end she exits the TV without Mono. So in theory Thin Man is a little weaker than Mono because he previously had a part of his powers drained by Six.
I recently had a think-through of these two games and the other stories and what they could mean metaphorically... what if they are the idea of adulthood through the eyes of children? Everything is terrifying to children when they don't understand... and eventually, they are scared to become their parents... just an idea but such good stories omg
I've got a theory its really throwing it out there but bare with me. In the comics of little nightmares it shows us six wondering the city and then getting brought to the maw by the ferry man, I feel like it happened not long after the events of little nightmares 2 as she teleports through a tv (where is unclear but it can assume its either the pale city or the one with the guests, not really sure on that one). as she travels trough the maw we see paintings of a young girl and the lady, now i know I'm gonna get some arguments for it but i think that that little girl is not six cause in every instance we see six without her raincoat/hair out it shows she has short hair unlike the girl in the painting who has long hair (coming down to about her elbows and they both roughly look the same age, the only other girl we know of that has long hair and that wears the raincoat is the girl in very little nightmares who can can assume sadly died and was probably the daughter of the lady. now before people say about six having the ladies powers, she only gained them after killing the lady and we don't know how powers/ abilities work in this universe so its hard to say. six's hunger is an odd one as the only other beings that have the hunger is the guests and we are unaware as to why six suddenly gets hungry after being fine for the the entirety of little nightmares 2 and very little nightmares. now for little nightmares 2 we still don't know enough about it to say much but again i have some more wild theories, in the little nightmares 2 comics the last one shows a boy with a bag on his head like mono so we can only assume it is indeed mono, they are in a burning building and something is taking the school kids one by one, i believe it is the thin man and he once captured mono hence why at the end of the comic you see a tall person standing in front of where mono is hiding, before someone says it could be one of the viewers, the viewers kill by staring at someone not grabbing them and the thin man grabs people, it would also explain how mono somehow got his powers and is able to interact with the tv, he gain a bit of the thin mans power from being captured and escaping and it explains why he only grabs you and you sorta fissile into nothing, he's taking his powers back. now for my favourite theory the time loop theory, i don't think it is a time loop, my main reason for that is you kill the hunter and the doctor, who replaces them? then people will say but mono becomes the thin man, that is correct yes but that could be because the broadcast tower needs a host, sorta like someone there to control it but hey who knows. that was very long winded and tedious but thats just a wild theory of mine, if you have any comments feel free to add to it as i'm in love with this game series and wanna learn a load more.
this is a good theory ngl! 😁 I have to add though the thing about mono and the time loop with the thin man and stuff I don’t really know about that. Cause why would they end up looking the same, they would be somewhat different if not completely if it wasn’t a time loop. (I personally think it is but I’ll never know) And, I feel like the thin man is a slave to the tower because we know it’s like an entity that is living and flesh-like but what if it’s using monos powers to fuel itself and stay in power. But that’s just something I wanted to say, it’s just a theory...a GAME THEORY! Sorry I’ve always wanted to say that lol. I love this game and it’s story.
@@jazzybuns4481 yeah i get what you mean, just feels weird that they are the only ones we know of that have the same powers, six gains the ladys powers by consuming her, another one to add 😂, thank you for thinking its good tho, thought it'd get more hate cause of how out there and different it is to all the other theroies out there 😂
I do agree with this theory! But with Six’s powers are weird. Her powers are confuseing. I don’t think hunger is her powers as she gains power from the lady and the hunger is before that. But with her being in the eyes place and the thin man leashing out shadow six, I think it is good to say that a part of her went missing. It's already quite deep and dark as the story and the nightmarish worlds are very representative of how dark and depressive society can be, these children try to escape their inevitable controled faith, and they always seem to fail and end up growing up to become monsters just like everyone else around them. I think there is always a new lady and a thin man, and those two kids are one of many.
Little Nightmares III: Mono, the next thin man goes back in time again, but instead of kidnapping Six, he kidnaps the new Mono, giving him time to destroy the music box before Six could be fully taken by it. With every turn, the music box built a connection between Six and her Dark self (which is why she was turning it while captured by the Hunter). The new Mono breaks the cycle by destroying the music box before it could be turned enough to create the unbreakable connection. After the music box is destroyed, Mono takes Six through the TVs, separating her from her Dark self, just like the Thin Man did when he kidnapped her. But without the music box, there is no way for the bond between Six and her Dark self to be rebuilt, causing Dark Six to become her own entity. With Six liberated from the influence of her Dark self and Mono liberated from the time loop of the Thin Man, the two work together to kill the Dark Six. Edit: I have expanded this and have written a proposal for the Little Nightmares III story, which builds upon concepts from ALL of the other games and DLCs (including Very Little Nightmares). I will be covering it in a future video.
Is it possible that the thin men tried to break the loop and tried to warn mono ,that's why he took six so she wouldn't betray him and the tried to talk to him but instead mono used his power??
She escaped the maw using a ship then when she went to the pale city She was escaping the city and lost her raincoat. and running with a yellow raincoat will make it easier to find her. So she dropped it and start running to the school and then to the forest and got captured by the hunter. Also remember six got her raincoat from VLN girl so it wasnt her and we dont know where it come from so possible to find other yellow raincoats in any place 🤷♂️. Six didnt make her raincoat.
The theory that Six drops Mono because she sees Mono's face and reminds her of the Thin Man is a good one, but there's one reason why I have a hesitation with it, and it's because if this is the case, how did the first Mono get betrayed by Six? You know, the Mono that first becomes the Thin Man? If Six still betrayed Mono, then we know that it originally isn't because she sees Mono's face and knows Mono resembles the Thin Man, because in the first timeline she betrays him even when the Thin Man supposedly doesn't exist yet. Of course, this could also be either a plot hole or just how time travel works in the world.
There’s also a theory that she dropped him bc she was hungry and there’s the whole thing where she eats people but she didn’t want so eat him so instead she decided to drop him. Although it’s possible but I’m not too set on that theory myself.
@@leemur9 Just imagine a 3rd installment of the game like omd, my life would be complete. I need thems answers >:3 But knowing the creators, they'd leave us with more questions than we began with
I have some theories about Little Nightmare 2: 1. Town and Population Theory in Little Nightmares 2 Long story short, Six meets Mono and has an adventure together, so after they leave the hospital they pass through a city called The Pale City and head to Signal Tower in the city center. this is where they first met the inhabitants of the city known as The Viewers. Where The Viewers are, they stare hypnotically at their television screens which are fixated on the strange audio and visuals that are transmitted. The Viewers' face is eroded and deformed, a direct result of the distortion affecting the world of Little Nightmares 2 as a result of Signal Tower and its broadcasts. Take a look at what effect this transmission has on the buildings and roads around The Pale City, so it's no surprise that this distortion causes suffering and deformities in the flesh and bones which are of course much weaker and more malleable. And in short, Mono found another TV and entered the TV, but this time he was able to open the door at the end of the hall but opening the door instead released a powerful entity known as The Thin MAN. Just like Mono, Thin Man can also make a transition from the world in TV and the world of reality. When Six is captured by The Thin Man we can learn something about The Thin Man and its implications for the world of Little Nightmares 2. When Six is arrested there is a Glitch that is shaped like Six, it seems The Thin Man claims the bodies of the victims. The glitches we find around the world are the result of his actions. The Thin Man claims its prey leaves only an echo of their existence, which also explains why The Viewers' clothes were abandoned. The Viewers had been claimed by Signal Tower, but before Signal Tower took their bodies, they first depleted their life force. when The Viewers fixate on the broadcast, their bodies are eroded and energy drained until they wither and die, which is where The Thin Man claims them for Signal Tower. 2. Final Battle Theory Mono and Six Mono finally battled with The Thin Man. Mono has a power similar to The Thin Man, even Mono is stronger than The Thin Man and finally Mono can defeat him. After Mono defeated The Thin Man, he immediately went to Signal Tower and the door opened as if welcoming Mono. In Signal Tower Mono must fight with Six who have changed as a result of Signal Tower and to defeat Six, Mono must destroy the Musix Box that is guarded by Six. Every time Mono hits the Music Box, he is thrown into a dark place and must find a wooden door and an ax to get out of the place. Looks like Signal Tower is able to draw one's own memories. In Mono's case, Signal Tower uses memories when Mono wants to free Six from the room in The Hunter's house. For Six's case, Signal Tower uses memory when Six plays his Music box. It looks like the Signal Tower is actually a living organism disguised as a building. Signal Tower preys on other people's lives and uses its power to transform and destroy everything around it. This is also proven why when Mono fought Six, Signal Tower gradually became a large flesh and had many eyes that reminded us of the eye symbols scattered in the world of Little Nightmares. 3. Little Nightmares Ending Theory 2 In the ending, why did Six betray Mono? If we consider what kind of person six is, things make a little more sense. Six is a survivor, he puts his security above other people, no matter what it costs. and if we pay close attention to the scene where mono tries to reach the door in the signal dimension, we can see that the real reason he was kicked out of this television is because six is pulling him out feeling that Six is being pulled into something evil. knowing mono has radical powers like the same powers as the Thin Man himself it is likely that Six feels threatened by the presence of
Hey I just noticed the suitcase in six’s nightmare version must mean it’s a sequel. Or why else would that be apart of her nightmare. So the reason for six not having her powers in little nightmare two, is the eye provides these kids their power and instinctually guides them too their desired designation. Six after little nightmare two is guided back to the Maw by hunger( the eye) and starts as the lady where her power returns when in the Maw (which is also shown as monos power increases closer he is to the signal). Six returns to the Maw and takes over ,the little girl portrait represents this and as six ages deforms(scratched out portsit) and then uses the mask of the lady she once ate(herself unbeknown) to disguise her face unknowingly to suffer the same fate. What you think
I love how this video is less of a timeline and more of a challenge to see how many times this guy can fit the sentences "this hints to 6 being the lady" and "this kid might have powers" in a single video.
You know guys, your theories are cool and interesting, and maybe close to the truth, but i think we need matpat for this, this is gonna be an interesting theory, story or whatevs
yo ikr, im surprised he hasnt already made a theory about this game. i hope he does because wow this game is confusing and hopefully matpat can organize everything and make a solid theory
I have a theory, The Four Main Monsters Consist of: Thin Man, The Lady, The North Wind, and Mirror man are all characters that have a strong bound with magic and dark powers. Mono, Six, and the Pretender as of now are the only Children we seen so far to use magic/dark powers on screen I think they are the "successes" of the high ranking monsters. Each of the main monsters have a "domain" they function as absolute monarchs/rulers and can change laws how they see fit. Thin Man has control over Pale City and it surrounding areas, The Lady has control over the Maw and the oceans around it, The North Wind has the wilderness/farmland and control over the winds, and Finally Mirror Man has control over mirrors and having some "wish granting" powers and some influence on magic. I think The Main monsters have rules where they can't assert themselves and attempt to usurp one another meaning their powers are weak outside of their respected lands. They also seem to be incapable of absorbing their rivals power for themselves meaning they can't control more then one domain.
OMFG Why did I not see this sooner?! >Lost Children huddling around a Bonfire >Children's Nightmares Distorting and/or actually becoming the Environment >Eldritch Abominations living in those Nightmare Frontiers >Normal humans either dying or turning into those demons >Takes place in a Post-Apocalyptic world with European and Japanese aesthetics >Mono and Six go forth into a dying World in Jolly Cooperation Little Nightmares is in the Far Future Age of Man on the SoulsBorne Timeline! The Eye is a Great One.
It’s a prequel, guys. A Tarsier Studios Senior Writer literally confirmed that it was a prequel and not a sequel. You have to be high to think it’s a sequel.
Here's another theory. Mono gets trapped in the maw, while six travels further into the maw. However, at the end you will notice six's "shadow" is really just the holograph the thin man left behind when he kidnapped her earlier on. What if, when mono became trapped in the maw, he realized everything he went through up to being trapped in the maw was bound to happen and will happen again. What if that shadow that follows six around was set as a contingency plan by the thin man so that mono could watch/guide her on her journey to becoming the lady if he (the thin man) failed at stopping her again. That way mono (aka the thin man) could have another chance to stop her once he is released from the maw by his younger self, which would kind of explain why mono was just sitting there during his imprisonment. He was waiting. Watching her. We saw nearing the end that he was the one controlling six's "shadow" to lure mono to where he was, and we already concluded he had been watching her through the tvs since little nightmares one, so is this theory possible? Could it be that the holograph six is just surveillance and doesn't have much to do with her powers, and her hunger just stemmed from being manipulated by the maw before mono saved her? (Which isn't impossible because as we know the maw itself is basically responsible for everyone's powers.) But why did she betray him at the end? What could have made her intentionally trap him into the maw? Was she manipulated into doing it? But at least we now know the end where she betrayed him is where their villain stories begin.
I keep thinking about that moment in the comic where the kids sneak into the abandoned house with the mirrors that suggests that the LN universe was once a more happier normal kinder place quite recently as that kid said he didn’t’ believe in monsters being set in the world before it became corrupt. The kid that fantasizes and creates a twin said with a picture of a bedroom “I’d get my chores done super fast!” That basically implies he had PARENTS that took care of him and another picture of a kid with a backpack that also says that children used to go to public town schools. I think the real puppetmaster villain is the Eyes which seems to be some inter-dimensional force that turned the world into what we know it to be via the televisions which corrupted and deformed particularly adults that then turned against their own children which forced all that survived to run away into hiding (which what even Six, the Runaway kid, or Mono did in a world now descended into complete madness.) I think it was recent because children still exist and are the last proof of the world before, as in a world like that a natural-born child wouldn’t be born again or just get aborted, murdered, eaten or suffer fates worse than death by raising the kids with powers into weapons which got their powers from the Eyes somehow like Six and Mono who the Eyes imprisoned him in the signal tower and raised him into Thin Man and obeys orders when needed to. That’s a part of the timeline I’d like to see explored through flashbacks in a DLC or LN 3.
let’s just say that ln2 is a prequel to ln1. because six found her raincoat in 2 and did you notice how in part 1 u see a tall man that was hanged, he couldn’t have killed himself because his hands were tied so it is theorized that the lady killed him because he couldn’t handle what was going on and she planted that letter to make it look like a suicide note
I was honestly so impressed by the amount of knowledge you was able to put into one video and me who knows nothing about the storyline was able to understand it perfectly from you. Thank you
I had three theories, 1. Mono and six are actually sick, there're hallucinating/dreaming because of treatment 2. This is how they view the world around them also themselves, and everything and everyone is not what it seems 3. They're are apart of an experiment. I really love these theory videos always make my day and the comments are funny as hell.
I dont know why nobody has talked about how now we know "shadow six" is not a shadow it's a transmission left behind from her as you see in the secret ending
Ikr. “Dark” six is Six’s interference counterpart that was created through Six’s capturing by the Thin Man. Similar to the many children seen throughput the Pale City. Like a faint reminder of who that person once was. Nobody seems to really agree with me on this.
@@thebeetburgurler5464 according to the Time Loop theory, the little nightmares story is a series of events that repeats over and over. So technically, little nightmares 2 is both a sequel and a prequel
The Story will continue again and again until Little Nightmare 4 The Finale but this isn’t the end of Little nightmare 2 because there is many unsolved mysteries left
Six has ability to absorb the powers of a person that is why in the ending of LN2 she holds the hand of mono for a while before letting him fall, in this process absorbing his powers and then teleporting through the screen (As mono had this power)
Was it a tv at the end? It looked more like a portal. And if six really did absorb monos powers how come thin man could still freely enter and exit through tvs as well
You know, if there really is a time loop going on, then there has to come a moment where the different timelines overlap to close that loop. So what if Six and The girl In The Yellow Coat in Very Little Nightmare are the same person? If Little Nightmares 3 ends with six traveling through time in a hot air balloon you'll get a "CALLED IT" from me.
Love this video, but there’s one thing I want to add. I believe that little nightmares 2 is both a prequel AND a sequel. We know that the little nightmares games seem to take place in a time loop. Mono kills the thin man only to become the thin man, and six kills the lady and becomes the lady. The loop then resets as new versions of mono and six set out to kill their adult counterparts. Here’s where things get confusing. At the end of Little Nightmares, six takes the place of the lady, and it is at this point that the loop resets. Little nightmares 2 is the beginning of a new loop that is leading off of the ending of the first game, BUT the events at the end of little nightmares 2 leads directly into Six going to the maw and killing the lady. So chronologically, little nightmares 2 is a prequel. But going off the idea that the whole story is a time loop, the loop resets at the end of little nightmares 1 and begins at Very Little Nightmares, which leads into little nightmares 2, which then leads into a repeat of the events of little nightmares. It’s a lot to think about, but once it finally snaps in your mind you realize just how intelligent the developers are.
@@badman5363 it’s been confirmed by proof. The thin man can bend and control time since time slows down when he gets closer to you. He created a time loop, and then the thin man crossed into the past, to kill six and save mono so the time loop would end. Have you seen the ending? After mono gets betrayed by six, mono grew up to be the thin man in the exact same chair, which means it’s a time loop.
@@badman5363 he didn’t put himself in the time loop. The Eyes started the time loop, using mono and six as tools to keep the loop going. The Eyes created the Signal Tower and corrupted the world, but they require a person inside the signal tower to continue the broadcast.
Oh thats possible and maybe the Lady curse kids to gnome cause she hates her daughter for adventuring and saw Six and her hatred rise?,idk many things are unexplain
I actually really like the idea of this being true, so if that's the case, and the whole time loop theory is true, Six's own daughter went to the nest and finds the next incarnation of six. Six possibly retaining memories from previous loops realises this and attempts to save her, for some reason I can't explain. Idk, I just like the idea of this so much XD
It is more likely that Six is somehow related to the Lady rather than Six being the Lady herself. It does not state anywhere that Six is the Lady nor LN1 is also a time loop.
@@archive2500 The devs of the game stated that they aren't related as mother and child. So there might be a possibility that Six could have become the Lady in the future.
The yellow raincoat in VLN could be a red herring, meaning it's just there to show the girl in white is Six rather she's gets the raincoat as we do not see in post credit the raincoat near the raft or any where Six would grab it. I do think LN2 is a prequel just cause the Shadow Six has the same static ashy look like all the other echo kids. Shadow six was created by the thin man when he yanked her away, this can also be confirmed as far as I can tell when Six puts on the raincoat and everything gets dark, you don't see any shadow six around like you do during LN1 when she eats. The guest in the comics could be in another city where she traveled to OR since they did cancel the comics, this could be a retcon to change the story slightly to make ideas for the Pale City.
Shadow Six only appeared on LN1 whenever she feeds and in that secret ending also finally showed Six experiencing hunger. Also, it shows a drawing on the floor which looks like the Maw. And ALSO, Shadow Six looked like she was signaling Six to go there.
If older six/ the lady knows shes going to be defeated by her younger self then why does she leave that one mirror? She knows that her younger self will find that mirror and defeat her as shes seen this before, right?
In my opinion, the thin man mono is actually a distorted mono, like how six became distorted, he may be able to be saved and turned back into mono, but we never find out because of the time loop he is stuck in
Guys, take a look at the TV when Mono tries to get Six out It's not just static, there are flash pictures One that looks like a bridge, one representing the Thin man without his hat? On eone with Mono and Six holding hands in some place looking like the classroom !
I figured Six DIDN'T actually receive the raincoat at the end of VLN, especially after LN2. It seems highly unlikely--more unlikely, actually--that Six would gain the coat, lose it and be captured, and then find the exact same coat randomly than it would be if she came across the coat once on the girl, but didn't recieve it, then stumbles upon it later, receiving it once and wearing it from then on rather than randomly losing it and magically finding it again somewhere else. They never actually show her pick it up at the end of VLN so it's just assumed she gets it then, especially before LN2 came out. But now with LN2, it makes more sense that VLN just tells the story of who the raincoat originally belonged to and where Six came from as well. They both came from the Nest and found each other again later. As for the dreams, I always figured they were either premonitions for what's to come, or they were their own personal little nightmares. The Runaway Kid, for instance, dreams of the granny, but we know he doesn't become the granny and it's unlikely that him being dragged to the bottom of the water by the granny is a memory since the action would have killed him. That alone would debunk the memory thing. Six's only power throughout the first game is that she can absorb powers through eating. She has no reason to turn other kids into gnomes and she's never seen doing so. Turning kids into gnomes is a punishment for them as seen by The Lady, but Six treats them either as friends by hugging them or food when she's too hungry. Both Six's and The Lady's attitudes towards the gnomes are very different. I think the presence of gnomes in all the games shows that The Lady has influence at more places than just The Maw. We know she was once most likely in The Pale City and we can surmise she might have some connections at both the Pale City and The Nest in order to obtain kids, masks, and other goods to keep The Maw stocked for both workers and guests. I feel like The Lady and Six being the same person is a bit of a stretch concerning the evidence given, but there is definitely a connection between the two that's more than Six dreaming about and then eating The Lady. I still think the timeline order is VLN, LN2, and LN based on the fact we never see Six pick up the raincoat from VLN til LN2, Six doesn't have any powers in LN2 (granted those powers could be limited or only work inside The Maw), Six is not hungry AT ALL during LN2 until the secret ending when it seems part of her is now split between physical Six and shadow/glitchy Six, and her shadow seems to point her in the direction of The Maw after her stomach grumbles as if saying she should go there next to eat. The Thin Man is stuck in a time paradox and can be seen at the end of the DLC, but maybe he's aware that's where Six goes to and that's why he is seen on the TV at The Maw. Also, Mono may potentially be trapped in a time loop, but Six clearly isn't; and if you think about how transmissions work, they aren't particularly held down by time and can move freely just like how you can play a tv show or a recording of a video at any point in time, which is why both Mono and the transmission of The Thin Man can both exist at once. The Thin Man isn't actually physical. It's not a physical Thin Mono facing a young Mono: it's a transmission--particals and wave lengths and frequencies and static--facing off against physical Mono. If you consider things as such--Six escapes The Nest, but doesn't get the rain coat yet, she gets captured by The Hunter and escapes with Mono, finds the raincoat, runs and get captured by Mono's older transmission, betrays Mono, has her soul split, gets very hungry, goes to The Maw, eats The Lady, gets powers, escapes The Maw, where the Thin Man is seemingly attempting to enter knowing she's there to maybe exact revenge(?)--then there really is no time paradox happening and things are fiarly straight forward. Since I haven't read the comics, I'm not including them in this, which could poke some holes in my own theory, but this makes sense from what I know and what I've seen and all the theories I've heard as well as my own original theory I had before researching more.
Totally agree with you, and these theories about LN2 being a sequel (timeline-wise) are not convincing enough. Why would then the developers just give six awesome powers to just forget about them in the beginning of the following game? And making her a meek and shy girl. Why would she lose her powers to begin with? Has there been any characters in the entire franchise that became powerless after obtaining them? Theories are not just random stuff you invent, they have to have a precedent for them to work, and someone losing their powers hasn't been shown at all at the game. You could say the lady did, but we will never know 'cause she died when six ate her. And last, but not least, why would the devs give all that foreshadowing about the raincoat, shadow six, and the maw at the very end of the game? Why bother with it if it was a sequel?
My little theory is that Little Nightmares is a running time loop. Six becomes The Lady, Mono becomes Thin Man. Their child selves keep encountering their future selves without realizing it. It's a never-ending loop
rather than six becoming the lady. the lady kept being consumed by six, which is the lady's little nightmare. and the loop was created by the thin man who is a mono that grew out of his little nightmare, travels to the past, only to be killed by his little nightmare while trying to prevent six ever getting close to the lady
I noticed that the "Thin Man" that captures the kid with eyes folded, seems to not have sleeves. Mono, as the Thin Man, does have long sleeves, doesn't he? Aaaannnd, the last "enemy" on the last comic doesn't have long sleeves either. I am not sure if this could make on a theory, but I just thought about it...
A lot of people have definitely noticed this but at the end of Little Nightmares Two when the Thin Man is sitting in the chair waiting there and when Mono finds him he’s sitting on the same chair in the same room and I just thought that was a cool thing they added
I still think the Thin Man survived the battle with Mono and later killed himself outside of Six’s room by hanging himself in the original game. The game developers are probably misleading us by saying LN2 is a sequel.
Yea sure dude, they lied to mislead us. *sure* . Devs don’t lie. I have so much proof that proves that it’s actually a sequel, not prequel. And the hanging man isn’t the thin man. The hanging man is much taller.
@Coconut Head killed who? The thin man? Games a prequel, and the thin man can bend time and reality which is more power than the lady. The thin man was never confirmed to be the hanging man, and the hanging man looks taller than the thin man.
It just occurred to me that Mono means one, alone, or single. I wonder if that relates to how he is always alone stuck in that time loop to become the Thin man
They litteraly gave all the hints that this is a prequel, a) six finds the iconic raincoat she wears in LN1,b)the thinman creates shadow six(the one you see watching you whenever you are feeding in LN1) ,c)Six doesn't have her notorious hunger yet.d)in the secret ending you see six gets the hunger as a result of whatever happened to her when the thinman took her, and e) you can clearly see that shadow six in the secret ending scene is pointing at a poster/flyer of the Maw from LN1 like it's trying to tell Six to go there.
What I think is that Little Nightmares 2 is a sequel, but instead of of being a sequel to the original Little Nightmares, it is a sequel to Very little nightmares, and it is a prequel to the original Little Nightmares. So in order it is. Very Little Nightmares, Little Nightmares 2, Little Nightmares. Idk that’s what I think bc I just got into this game a few months ago

So we may have a game that took place after Six realized she was made a huge mistake to Mono, and come back to the city and facing with The Thin Man- Mono
Edited: wow thank you guys for all the opinions and likes
@@lunarexplosion4948 you have to take note that six has to consume the lady to get the power. when mono already have it prior to becoming the thin man
i think it's a different case for the two. mono becoming the thin man where he gets killed by his past self
and six being the lady's nightmare that is out to get her power. when the lady is consumed by her nightmare. the maw ceases to have it's host. and thus the time loop to undo this ending becomes necessary
@@lunarexplosion4948 mine is a little loopy as well.
but i like to think that the loop only started when mono pulled the thin man out of the TV. at that point time starts to distort which is why we are seeing a glimpse of the future
and thanks to the suitcase at the bossfight, speculations that the hanged man from the first game is the actual physical form of the thin man. and for some unknown reason, ends up dead.
and in some unknown time, has created his little nightmare in the form of mono.
Six and Mono could've just grown old together, smh
And yet she had to let him go 🙄
She was hungery, she had two options. Letting him go or eating him...
Since Mono had destroyed her music box, which was her comfort, she was mad af and let him go
@@xidex51 I HATE THAT THEORY SHE WASN'T HUNGRY THERE ONLY UNTIL SHE CROSSED THE TV
That seems actually very true.

Why did Gamer Sault say that Bandai Namco confirmed LN2 was a sequel tho?
@@JoshuaTanzil yea thats when it gets tricky for me they was probably saying its a sequel as how the whole time loop thing is because since the story is a loop it has no official ending or beginning

That does not make sense. Many people make theories that do not seem to add up. Should be backed up with support from what actually happened and not someone's thoughts just because it sounds good.

The thin man and the lady looks like a couple together XD

@Daniel Merka *Nah fam, six give me betrayal vibes*
I don’t understand why would six then leave the maw after ?
if the thin man's objective is to prevent Six's betrayal of Mono from happening, he had tons of time to just kill Six after capturing her
if six is also in a time loop making her the lady in the maw...would that mean that the 'nightmare' she had of the lady in the beginning was a memory?

Time loop? It could be a prequel or a sequel if its a time loop.
In other words: Most of the monsters are the embodiments of mankind's desire for everlasting life.
I think that that is a very plausible reason.

@@codfish2178 i dont think she went to the maw after VLN instead drifted to the pale city because she wouldn’t know how to get to the maw. I think once she got to land she got captured by the hunter and mono rescues her. Thus LN2 happens then LN1

Comics have some important factors to the game

One of the key selling points in the description of the game is to "relive your childhood fears". So what you're saying is highly plausible.
I like that idea 😎
This is a very good theory ngl!
Maybe a moral campus part cuz ever since then.....she betrays then she only looks out for her self.
@@cosmic_toons thats true to an extent, if little nightmares 2 is a prequel then when she arrives to the maw she wouldn't hug any of the gnomes that you can find. Thanks for agreeing with it tho, just something that was on my mind and thought could use some discussion
I have a feeling this story is gonna be longer and deeper than people think
Yep in the New game its gonna way WAY darker and deeper
It seem's like u have forget this comment so let me remind it for u

How did Six lose her rain coat, and seemingly by chance find it again?
And why did Mono wake up near a TV? And when did his time in that apartment building full of children happen?
She escaped the maw using a ship then when she went to the pale city She was escaping the city and lost her raincoat. and running with a yellow raincoat will make it easier to find her. So she dropped it and start running to the school and then to the forest and got captured by the hunter. Also remember six got her raincoat from VLN girl so it wasnt her and we dont know where it come from so possible to find other yellow raincoats in any place 🤷♂️. Six didnt make her raincoat.

Right. It just does not reasonably add up.
there was theory that there are multiple sixes but same soul if you know what im trying to say
Its known as an eternal loop.
There was always a thin man. No beginning to the loop. It just always existed.
There’s also a theory that she dropped him bc she was hungry and there’s the whole thing where she eats people but she didn’t want so eat him so instead she decided to drop him. Although it’s possible but I’m not too set on that theory myself.
Honestly feel so betrayed that not only did six betray you in this one ,but its likely you'll never truly know why.

I have some theories about Little Nightmare 2:
1. Town and Population Theory in Little Nightmares 2
Long story short, Six meets Mono and has an adventure together, so after they leave the hospital they pass through a city called The Pale City and head to Signal Tower in the city center. this is where they first met the inhabitants of the city known as The Viewers.
2. Final Battle Theory Mono and Six
Mono finally battled with The Thin Man.
3. Little Nightmares Ending Theory 2
In the ending, why did Six betray Mono? If we consider what kind of person six is, things make a little more sense. Six is a survivor, he puts his security above other people, no matter what it costs. and if we pay close attention to the scene where mono tries to reach the door in the signal dimension, we can see that the real reason he was kicked out of this television is because six is pulling him out feeling that Six is being pulled into something evil. knowing mono has radical powers like the same powers as the Thin Man himself it is likely that Six feels threatened by the presence of
You sir earned this sub treat it with care.
I shall :D

They also seem to be incapable of absorbing their rivals power for themselves meaning they can't control more then one domain.
i like this idea, and if six is the lady, and mono is thin man then they can just be going in time loops to try to take over eachothers power
OMFG Why did I not see this sooner?!

The Eye is a Great One.
It’s a prequel, guys. A Tarsier Studios Senior Writer literally confirmed that it was a prequel and not a sequel. You have to be high to think it’s a sequel.
Came for this comment, thx
(Which isn't impossible because as we know the maw itself is basically responsible for everyone's powers.)
But why did she betray him at the end? What could have made her intentionally trap him into the maw? Was she manipulated into doing it? But at least we now know the end where she betrayed him is where their villain stories begin.
I think maybe after six saw mono without his mask on that she realized he was the thin man, and decided to betray because she was scared or whatever.
It blows my mind that this comment doesn’t have more attention omg…
yea…i’m still confused as hell
let’s just say that ln2 is a prequel to ln1. because six found her raincoat in 2 and did you notice how in part 1 u see a tall man that was hanged, he couldn’t have killed himself because his hands were tied so it is theorized that the lady killed him because he couldn’t handle what was going on and she planted that letter to make it look like a suicide note
I was honestly so impressed by the amount of knowledge you was able to put into one video and me who knows nothing about the storyline was able to understand it perfectly from you. Thank you
I had three theories,
1. Mono and six are actually sick, there're hallucinating/dreaming because of treatment
2. This is how they view the world around them also themselves, and everything and everyone is not what it seems
3. They're are apart of an experiment. I really love these theory videos always make my day and the comments are funny as hell.
16:40. yup. six was pulling him out. there must be something else to her betrayal than what's on the surface.
Yes, indeed. I'll be awaiting for the return of LN3
I think she didn't betray him, because when she got out from the tv she realized that she is hungry and if they got out together mono will die
@@AlbertusSalvatierra yes I agree and her getting dark six from the thin man makes this game seem more and more like a prequel
@@thebeetburgurler5464 according to the Time Loop theory, the little nightmares story is a series of events that repeats over and over. So technically, little nightmares 2 is both a sequel and a prequel
Shadow Six only appears in LN1 when she is hungry and feeds. So yeah, there you go, LN2 is definitely reasonable as the time loop prequel of LN1.
@@freshshrimpproductions6047 i agree that tower is messing up timeline so its combining past and present
The Story will continue again and again until Little Nightmare 4 The Finale but this isn’t the end of Little nightmare 2 because there is many unsolved mysteries left
That's what I love about these games. Yeah, the game may be over. But the story has still only just begun.
Little nightmares 4?
Yeah, I'm pretty confident that they'll make more of this series. Its left us with so much clues and theories that have to be answered.
why exactly 4?
you mean LN3 or third series? I assume the third one is going to break the time loop, and ending the LN story and lore forever.
Good theory. I’m pretty sure it’s just a sequel but still. Creative.
The time loop is just a theory and hasn't been confirmed
@@badman5363 it’s been confirmed by proof. The thin man can bend and control time since time slows down when he gets closer to you. He created a time loop, and then the thin man crossed into the past, to kill six and save mono so the time loop would end. Have you seen the ending? After mono gets betrayed by six, mono grew up to be the thin man in the exact same chair, which means it’s a time loop.
@@Whatsupeveryone-w9h By your logic, thin man put himself in a time loop. Why would he put himself in a time loop?
@@badman5363 he didn’t put himself in the time loop. The Eyes started the time loop, using mono and six as tools to keep the loop going. The Eyes created the Signal Tower and corrupted the world, but they require a person inside the signal tower to continue the broadcast.
What if the girl in the picture with the lady is the lady's daughter who goes onto a hot air balloon and crash lands into the nest?
I thought that too
The yellow raincoat in VLN could be a red herring, meaning it's just there to show the girl in white is Six rather she's gets the raincoat as we do not see in post credit the raincoat near the raft or any where Six would grab it.
Shadow six was in LN1 though, you can see her in dark corners when she gets hungry
@@michjay9378 exactly, that was her
Shadow Six only appeared on LN1 whenever she feeds and in that secret ending also finally showed Six experiencing hunger. Also, it shows a drawing on the floor which looks like the Maw. And ALSO, Shadow Six looked like she was signaling Six to go there.
Little nightmares shows how much storyline matters. One of the best story line games and know one said one word during the entire game...
If older six/ the lady knows shes going to be defeated by her younger self then why does she leave that one mirror? She knows that her younger self will find that mirror and defeat her as shes seen this before, right?

He said everyone hated mono so does that mean six knew he was thin man and that's why she betrayed him?
In my opinion, the thin man mono is actually a distorted mono, like how six became distorted, he may be able to be saved and turned back into mono, but we never find out because of the time loop he is stuck in

I bet this will be a great video, looking forward to it!
Someone finally said it, thank you
Ayeee I was the 20k'th like!
Very nice
Anywho
Very nice ideas, it made alot of sense.
I love your little nightmare breakdowns!! I can tell you put a lot of work into these!🥰♥️
Randomly got into this.
Thanks for the explanation
My little theory is that Little Nightmares is a running time loop. Six becomes The Lady, Mono becomes Thin Man. Their child selves keep encountering their future selves without realizing it. It's a never-ending loop
rather than six becoming the lady. the lady kept being consumed by six, which is the lady's little nightmare.
and the loop was created by the thin man who is a mono that grew out of his little nightmare, travels to the past, only to be killed by his little nightmare while trying to prevent six ever getting close to the lady
In other words: A nightmare.
The whole series is basically just a very elaborate message saying “Don’t watch TV”
You are so awesome
Fact.
The most awesome
it’s a loop with each loop resetting their youth
I still think the Thin Man survived the battle with Mono and later killed himself outside of Six’s room by hanging himself in the original game. The game developers are probably misleading us by saying LN2 is a sequel.
good point
Yea sure dude, they lied to mislead us. *sure* .
Devs don’t lie. I have so much proof that proves that it’s actually a sequel, not prequel. And the hanging man isn’t the thin man. The hanging man is much taller.
@@Whatsupeveryone-w9h i heard hanging man was uh.. I kinda forgot the name.. Its wax bellman?
@Coconut Head killed who? The thin man? Games a prequel, and the thin man can bend time and reality which is more power than the lady. The thin man was never confirmed to be the hanging man, and the hanging man looks taller than the thin man.
@@ichiyaclub8959 wax bellman wears bright red clothing, not dull gray.
My Theory is
Very Little Nightmares -> Little Nightmares 2 -> Little Nightmares 1
This is based on Where Six have his raincoat on.
It just occurred to me that Mono means one, alone, or single. I wonder if that relates to how he is always alone stuck in that time loop to become the Thin man
“The one and only Mono” oh YOU MEAN MY HOMIE BAGHDAD
Wait so if the second game is actually a sequel then why did Six leave The Maw and show up in the city?
Not really. It has been confirmed that LN2 is a prequel
Where is the source that little nightmares 2 is a sequel?
Couldn't find dev confirmation anywhere.
I've been in a loop of watching Little Nightmares theories and now my brain is fried. IDK WHAT TO BELIVE ANYMORE LOOOOOOOL
