Holy smokes!! It worked!! Hot bonus tip: use the broken tube from the broken jack and put the screw through that so it doesn’t get caught and fall off. Had the tip stuck in my amp for like a year and it still worked with cable halfway but this has got to be the best trick that worked for me thank you!!
I owe you a bottle of wine that was fantastic - did same thing with a headphone adaptor in my clavinova keyboard - a thirty second genius fix!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Thank you for this video! I got mine out using a toothpick and some very careful work with superglue, as I couldn't find a screw that was the right width. I feel your pain!
I just bought a second hand zoom r20 and I later found out there was a broken jack in my combo input...I tried to get it out with tweezers for hours and was getting very frustrated until I saw your video! Worked like a charm and I am so grateful! Thanks!
Thanks. My headphone socket is at the bottom of the piano. I have gotten all of it out except the last plastic seal and the tip. Unfortunately the screw with the right diameter is not the right length for the tip.
@@EmmaHolbrookDrums The answer was a long, thin drill bit turned by hand. My dad had the drill so he did the honors. 😉 thank you so much for the encouragement!
@@EmmaHolbrookDrums I tried a q tip after removing the cotton it sticks properly inside but there's a piece of metal that helps keep the cable inside that is kinda blocking me I'll try to deal with it somehow
Thanks for your video! I tried several sizes of screws to help me out of the TIP and I found that the 3.5mm width screws fit just right.

Amazing!! I'm so glad it helped!
Thanks for posting this video. I have now fixed the headphone socket on my Clavinova using this method. So relieved! No more adapters.
Thank you so much for this video! Just removed an adaptor tip from my Focusrite 2i4... Tried dismantling it to no avail but this did the trick!
Great to hear! Another triumph!
Great tip - This worked as advertised. I had to remove a broken headphone jack from my DJ mixer.
Thanks for the video. It worked after a few tries.
You saved my mr18 mixer worth a lot of money. Bless You thousand times!
Whoop whoop!

Ah yes Emma, Thanks for this. It worked a treat for me once I found the perfect screw!
Awesome!
Great video. Thanks for posting.
Perfect. The adapters are a mess.
I’m in this position so frustrated. I hope it comes off
Wowwww this video is a lifesaver save us from spending money, tho our problem is our electric guitar 💯💯💯
Amazing! I did that. You saved my piano 😅🎉❤ thank you so much.
Yes!!
Thank you!! 🙌

Good luck in finding the right screw Jennifer!
@@EmmaHolbrookDrums I am hoping that someone with a different toolbox will visit soon. Either that or a visit to the hardware store will be in order.

I watch this as I wait for my 2mm drill bit to set with superglue inside my Pearl Mimic Pro! Didn't think of the screw. See how I get on..!
Thank you!! it worked. Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic! No worries!
That’s how Nigella would fix audio gear
thanks. ❤
top tip tip
Great idea!!!
What is the mm size of screw?
I have no idea. Just experiment. This video was years ago now. I think someone said an ideal size somewhere in the comments
this has just happened to my marshall amp
Hi Emma! 👋
Doesn't work on mine only the rubber came out
Sorry to hear this. Maybe experiment with some different screw sizes and threads?
