      I really get what you are trying to say; Like a 500 Year old tree, the stiffness in the Body n starting any of the stretches would be A Stretch in itself!

    I am a fifty seven year old man who is attempting to achieve at least half lotus. I hope to achieve it. I am at the very beginning of these exercises and shall endeavour to practice every day this year to achieve this goal. Thank you for giving me such a workable ‘blueprint’ to work from.

    I have started to attempt Padmasana with the help of your videos and I find the instructions and stretches really good.
    Thank you so much for breaking it down to simple steps. I really like the fact that you are asking us to progress bit by bit and heed our body as we slowly progress into it.

    This was amazing!!! I couldn't do it at all before the video. By the end of the video I could do it for about a minute. You're a GREAT instructor!!! I'm going to keep doing it until it's easier. ❤

I was practicing Western world's theory of Yoga but I couldn't find my self in it .Thankfully Sri Swami Satchidananda came in my life through a video in from now on his holiness changed my mind and my perspective so I'm so knew to any knowledge that I m willing taking anything at all from real yoga philosophy.     Thanks a lot for sharing this exercises, I am becoming more flexible day by day. In the exercises before the half lotus I am feeling less pain every day, but when I try the half lotus posture, I feel a lot of pain behind the ankle, do you have any recomendation? Thanks again!!

      When you place foot on other thigh, place it higher not placing with twisted ankle.

      Thank you for your comment. For kurmasana you need excellent hips, hamstrings and spine flexibility. For ardha baddha padma paschimottanasana you need to ability to do Padmasana perfectly and same time shoulders and arm flexibility.

    Namaskaram! With all my respect I would like to add few more guidelines. About the practice around 8min: you're stiff and you going to push your knee down, you going to damage yourself the knee have to be locked it is not designed for side ways movement, what he does he does it correctly but the movement coming from the hips/glutes/. I nearly caused permanent damage by doing that so be cautious please.
    If you push push above the knee(thighs) not the knee joint.
    The practice by 11min is great but make sure that you flex your feet back so you lock the knee and your ankle pass your other leg.
