I didn't think I'd ever say this but Xivu Arath sounds...MISERABLE. Like yes she's grieving for her brother, and her sister (in a bitter sense of feeling abandoned), but it feels like she's grieving for herself as well. The idea that everything she's done, that millions of years of violence and conquest that has cost her everything beyond the sword was for nothing. That's really scary. That's really sad...
I love these fragments because i love listening to her. They have done a great job fleshing her out in this lore. She feels abandoned, betrayed and questions herself anymore. She feels so lost and i feel pity for her and her siblings. She is definitely getting in my top 5 characters of the franchise (Drifter, Eris, Mara, Savathun and Xivu Arath).
Back in season 15 Savathun said she’s been thinking about her sister because something about their worms has them feel connected so with Oryx dead and Savathun wanting her worm gone Xivu would be alone.
Not only we were supposed to assume the throne to ourselves by Hive laws and traditions, but by refusing to do so we also deny Xivu the right to claim it to herself. She HAVE to defeat the current "king" or ruler in order to reclaim the throne. But the throne is empty, thus the kingdom is no more. Not only Xivu can not avenge her brother, but we ultimately spat in the face of Hive's core beliefs and traditions, effectively destroying the kingdom by the very force their whole species despised as inferior to darkness and way of the sword
Why so upset at the death of Oryx? According to the logic of sword the dead are unworthy of life for being weak and if they were not weak then they’d be alive. If Crota was so strong he would not fall to a Titan of the Sky so easily especially one wielding one of his own blades. Your brother has taken entire worlds and yet with all the power he could not stop me as I had slain his all his echoes and servants, and ransacked his throne world and stood idly by as his daughters fell to us and then destroyed him. You say the Sky is lies and yet we understand sword logic better than you do. The Deep has failed you, just know that your sister that betrayed The Deep and embraced The Sky came closer to defeating us than any other servant of The Witness.
I feel like Xivu is drunk at her brother's corpse just yelling at him.
It’s his catatonic body. He’s not dead.

@@kingtchalla215 I mean, he’s right.
Kimberley Brooks did such a great job as Xivu Arath, she’s up there with Debra Wilson as Savathûn.

Xivu Arath is having an existential crisis
1:50 woah what? We could’ve become the taken king?
That the sword logic of the hive

Toland got pissed off at us for denying the title too
Ngl, I kinda feel bad for xivu now
Their mother? She talking about that traitor?(can’t remember name)
Taox?
Taox was not their mother, I believe she was just their teacher as she was unable to bear children.
Yea Taox
Yea I knew Taox wasn’t their mother but I believe she still helped raise them. Unless Xivu is actually referring to the siblings real mother
@nicholasalicea1364 It's probably Taox, she bore the title of "sterile mother".

Ironically Savathun makes this exact point to her after Oryx’s death
Why do you talk as if you are living the game? Super cringe
