In MY musical world, if there were TRUE justice based on merit, these guys FREAKING rule!. I'm a senior, been a SERIOUS collector of music for 50 ++ years. I cannot remember the last time I have been so blown away by such amazing talent, all unique in their own right ,McDuck has some serious chops, and natch, Bridget on that gorgeous upright....the drummer is spot on....and then there's, sigh, Rachele. She's got hints of Janis, Ella, she just plain takes my breath away. May the musical gods shower you all with continued good fortune!
SOMkindawonderful I got so caught up in my rave, I completely overlooked that, my bad...cause that is another integral part of what makes them SO amazing. I ever win the lottery, they're the headliners at my own private party.
+Bruce MacLean Totally agree! I was lucky enough to see this band over a year ago and they were fantasic all the way across the stage! Each one as talented as the next and together, Explosive!
Not a single artist in LSD who isn't unique and gifted. What a treasure. And they deliver in the most basic of venues which only adds to their sheen. Love this clip -
Going to see them at the Wang 12/31! Just saw them (front row) at the Wang in November. Admitting I have an LSD addiction is the first step. (Bankruptcy may be next...but...) So awesome!
This was mega explosion of talents... Almost a miracle that that upright bass didn't burst into flames Lol... It is just another proof that having chops is one thing, knowing how to use them to build up that tension is another. At the end of this video I had only one question on my mind: *Wooow (!!!) WTF just happened Lol... ???* ♫♫ ♥❀(~‿~)❀♥ ♫♫
Don't get it twisted yall they hailing Beantown Berkeley Schoolof music 1 of THEE most prestigious schools in the WORLD... just sayin...look it my base girl go! Love ur way ms.Price...
They aren't from NY.... Give credit where it's due!! Lake Street Dive is a multi-genre band that was founded in 2004 in Boston, Massachusetts. The band consists of Rachael Price (lead vocals), Mike "McDuck" Olson (trumpet, guitar), Bridget Kearney (upright bass), and Mike Calabrese (drums). They met while attending the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
is it just my system, or is the aspect ratio wrong on this, such that the video is squeezed vertically and too wide horizontally? I'm getting so annoyed at wrong aspect ratio on vid clips. and, geez, why is this video even in HD, the actual quality is about 480 max due to the compression. (p.s. the music is great, don't get me wrong)
Either way , good audio or bad , these guys totally nail "Let Me Roll It " and Rachael is just a little funny but completely adequate on her tele , which works lots better for her than that Les Paul she tried out
And the Hotel UTAH is probably not in San Francisco. It's probably in Salt Lake City, as in at the center of the city, where all the visiting dignitaries used to stay, hence the name HOTEL UTAH.
As good as you do look with a guitar you still need to tune it first, otherwise you're just another trumpet, stand up bass and drums group. Lookin' good 'tho.

Sheesh, Rachel Price is the sexiest singer in the solar system!!
And she does and wears nothing that isn't classy, smooth, cool and attractive. Talent + class = eternal sex appeal.

Brilliant musicians all four of them, it's a shame you only filmed half the band....
wow... just gets better
I missed them in Raleigh. I hope they play there again very soon.
Rachel wields her voice like a sabre... great vocals. And the bass player stomps and rules...hot! Hot!
I've fell in love with this band!! : )))))
Great cover of Let me Roll it. I love deep cuts from classic albums.
that bassist is killing it!!!!

Big respect for how she just toys with that doghouse (while adding awesome harmony).

Your music just has me mesmerized, I love that voice so much!
Awesome work!
I was there that night! Great video. Thanks.
As a newer LSD fan, I've got to call this a UA-cam GEM! Early on, Bridget drink'n Bud, & Rachael plays guitar ... who knew?
yes, she looks good with or for that matter without a guitar ... i am a fan ... Love this band!
doing McCartney's Let Me Roll It is a challenge... but they pulled it off!
And they did it better.
perfect.
so freaking awesome!
Great stuff!!
It's amazing how so few talented musicians can make such a big (huge) sound. Minimalism at it's finest.
Keep this up.
How can I like this a 100 times?
Rachel Price can sing and is easy on the eyes to boot
lake street band has made me a better vocalist. this music is so inspirational and makes me feel so good. just awesome.

Love LSD! Seen them many times live. Rachel is the best! The rest of the band are awesome!
Damn it, your voice is good!!! :D
Going to see them at the Wang 12/31! Just saw them (front row) at the Wang in November. Admitting I have an LSD addiction is the first step. (Bankruptcy may be next...but...) So awesome!

4:07: Blindingly hot chick gets even hotter.
Rich Monks OMG ... Two blondes and a brunette on bass - now that's sexy as hell
I’ll fall with you...

Why wasn't I there?
Great music! Sexy and talented singing, one can't ask for more!
Why do the people have to yak away while this awesome band is dealin' such great music???
oops not Bklyn NY Rachel was born in Australia raised in Tennesee and the whole band met at the New England Conservatory of Music
The bass player looks better with a beer 4:20 just bad ass.
if she was ridiculous at guitar like she is with vocals I'd be upset.
No one (wo)man should have all this power.
+D1vid3By0 no doubt

Just to clarify - Rachael is from Tennessee, and the band got together in Boston... don't know how Brooklyn gets in there..???
I think they moved to Brooklyn together after the band started gaining some steam.
Late 00's to mid 2010's in Brooklyn NY with string, Progressive Bluegrass and Indie music was the happening.

I love those chicks.
Great Job .... apart from the mix on Rachaels vocals! .... everything else is sweet ???
where did they record this? sounds like too small, and too "lively" a room (lots of echo off ALL the walls?)?
sexy good music
They're from BROOKLINE, MA not BROOKLYN, NY
Either way , good audio or bad , these guys totally nail "Let Me Roll It " and Rachael is just a little funny but completely adequate on her tele , which works lots better for her than that Les Paul she tried out
Brooklyn's LSD? No baby. Lake Street Dive was born in Boston.
Pay Attention on how's it done.....
It's not weird that I like to pretend that Rachael is singing that first song to me, and me only, right? Right???
I hope the bands music isn't interrupting the peoples background conversations. How rude of them to play while they re talking
What is the title of the first song?
she plays guitar too?....... i give up

Andrew Kirk it's located at 500 4th Street in San Francisco
Laissez les bon temps rouler! Wings does this tune like a rock song. These guys do it the way it should be done - NOLA gospel jazz. Sorry, Paul!

the guitar is in tune, gordon. the only thing that isn't is your outdated condescension towards the other gender.
@@DanielBoonelight ouch - harsh...
...yet true.
Wrong song for an otherwise very admirable singer. Forget we ever heard this one.
pretty sure you're the only one who didn't enjoy it. she killed both tunes. your life must be fun.
