This dialogue cannot be accessed through standard gameplay since Tali is only available after the Horizon mission is complete. But with the help of a save editor we can unlock these rare scenes. - Ігри
If you're wondering WHY these scenes are locked from us - here's the deal. The original plan for ME2 allowed the player to recruit any companions right after Freedom's Progress. But Bioware couldn't fit the entire game onto a single disc for the XBox 360, so they locked some of the missions off until after Horizon and put that content onto a separate disc. They had already recorded dialogue and cutscenes for these characters (Tali / Thane / Samara / Legion) and these scenes are still in the game. But because of the way the ME2 was restructured we can't see it without essentially jailbreaking the game to let us recruit them earlier.
Hi there
Can you do video about Mass Effect 3 Citadel war assets, what to do to get best score?
Thanks
Well that really sucks, tali is an absolute fav of mine!!
Yes I Hope Like That,Because Horizon Mission Is Difficult
They should of re added it into legendary!
But it was 2 disc game. Maybe making a 3 or 4 disc would’ve been better to see and actually feel like you have freedom to play the game
12:32 I like how Shepard looks at Thane expecting a reply from him, but Tali speaks out instead and he turns his head to her. 😆
Shepard: * Tries to be friends with Thane *
* Says something to him *
Thane: * Praying or some shit *
Thane was like "Why tf are you asking me about this? It's all new to me!"
Thane is keeping his mouth closed because he's scared a Seeker will fly into his mouth.
he had a bad experience with a bee once...
I still can’t get over how cool that first tankbred Krogan was. He really does just live in my head rent free. I hope he survived and found a new purpose.
Indeed, I always think that he would have been a better grunt, i.e. the imperfect krogan who proved his maker wrong.
EXACTLY.. SAME WITH OKEER Ngl I wanted to see a bit more of Okeer in the background... Like if he was part of our crew to help us manage Grunt or something. The way he said grunt before he dies and he seemed proud like he looked at Grunt as somewhat of a son.
There should have been a Shadow Broker dossier.
Late to the party but I'm pretty sure he lives rent free in his own head lmao.
Grunt is no longer among the living.
I love that these are literally hidden dialogues and not just clickbait.

In a way it's probably better that Tali's recruitment is put off until later in the game. If I could've gotten Garrus and her at the beginning, I never would've spent time with any of the other squadmates. As it is, the second half of the game is always the Garrus and Tali show.
Honestly, that is probably exactly why certain characters are not available until the end. Such as talking to Liara isn’t available until after Horizon when Illium gets unlocked. If Liara was available beforehand, less people would feel the desire to cheat on her as they’d feel guilty since there’s no excuse of not knowing where she is or where you stand. Likewise, if Tali joined after Freedom’s Progress, there’s not only the compelling idea of literally only using Garrus and Tali for the rest of the game and no one else, but also the reluctance to recruit anyone else after. I feel like they wanted to have Tali available from the start which is why she’s on Freedom’s Progress, but ultimately decided to go a different route and have you recruit her later. It does make sense that she would be kept for later but also serves as a nice introduction to Mass Effect 2 by giving you someone you actually know and trust and teasing you with the potential of getting her later because you know she’s in the game at the very least.
Same thing happened with me. I had Miranda, then recruited Kasumi and used nobody else because they were so awesome INCLUDING Suicide mission I had them doing pretty much all the work - Tech Kasumi, both fire teams Miranda, final boss Kasumi and Miranda, during the biotic shield walk held by Samara I had Kasumi on my team.
I actually think that if I recruited only Mordin, Jacob, Samara, Miranda and Kasumi - I could do suicide mission already. Kasumi to the vents while Miranda as the Fire leader with Samara and Mordin on my team on my team. Then Samara with Shepard, Kasumi and Jacob go through the seeker swarms while mordin escorts and Miranda does distraction and finally taking Kasumi and Miranda to the final boss while Samara and Jacob hold the line. (You get Miranda and Jacob immediately. You gotta recruit Mordin for seeker swarms - which proves kinda useless anyways. So the only ones I would recruit actually based on my choice are Samara and Kasumi. All others are expendable and pointless.)
@@Dark_Voice If it was only Samara and Jacob holding the line I guarantee one, if not both, would've died. I did everything I could've correctly except for the very end where I let Zaeed lead the second fire team. Even with everyone's loyalty, he died. And even after that, the universe decided to kill Tali right at the very end of the game with only one lost character (I guess I did make a second mistake, I think I brought another "strong" character with me to the final boss). All in all, it probably wouldn't end that great for your ideal small suicide squad.
also i did completely restart the suicide mission to make sure i didnt lose anyone because it hurt too much to lose people
Good point.
@@Dark_Voice everyone else expendable and pointless? Not only does the entire mass effect community disagree with u but ur also just dead wrong lmao. So many good characters ur overlooking
When Shep tells that Guy to limp away, if you have Jack in your party she giggles and says “that was funny.“
Yes, I just did this and got the same result.
Miranda says something almost identical to tali. Which i thought was interesting.
Zaeed says about the same on occasion.
Only if Jack's commentary 'priority' isn't overidden by the other squaddie.
e.g. If Jacob is present, Jack can't make that comment. Jacob's disapproving comment overrides Jack's.
Things like this make me sad you can't recruit tali right away
Right they did her a dirty in 2 and 3. She literally doesn't even become a squad mate until after halfway in 3.

I love how Tali is assumed to be this cute little innocent girl, but straight out the gate from ME1 she's got some Renegade in her.
That's why she is the best. sweet and innocent at times but they sexy bad girl at others.
Tali allways spoke for the renegade option in ME1 if you brought Liara or Kaiden along. All characters in ME1 were on a spectrum between paragon and renegade to check which of your two teammates took favour in what option. If I remember correctly the order was: Paragon - Liara
@@LuriTV
Moreover, you could sway some squadmates more into paragon or renegade depending on your dialogue choices.
And because there always has to be one in favour of paragon and one in favour of renegade, it's actually possible to have Wrex pleading to spare the Rachni.

I'm not exactly sure whether Kaiden or Liara take first place, but I'm fairly confident about the rest.
Bring Tali for her recruitment mission, would have been hilarious if Bioware anticipated people hacking to games to do this and they made dialogue for this situation.

The Horizon dialogue has me convinced that at some point in development you could recruit Tali on Freedom's Progress, it makes the most sense to me at least
Not on Freedom's Progress. You were simply allowed to do her recruitment mission at the start.
At first plan was to allow you to recruit everyone in whichever order you want, It's XBOX not having blue ray fault, back then consoles were still a thing you put disc in and play rather than install it first so they had only one option if they wanted to release it on 360, and that's redesingning game to make it more linear, thus making it possible to split it in two discs.
Every post horizon squadmate have hidden dialogue, which only proves that it was a very late in development decision to change it.
I really wish they had released an oppened version of ME2 with Legendary, like it was originally supposed to be. But I'd be happy if a mod does it instead. Without the need of a save editor I mean.
Not realizing how that requires multiple reworks to how main story progression works as well as balancing
@@Ikcatcher Well if its a mod then balancing is kinda whatever, as long as Horizon and the collector ship missions still becoming available it wouldnt change too much. And for those they would really just have to find a way for the missions to trigger after a certain number of completed missions. Still not easy but certainly possible if the modder is skilled enough and takes their time.
Check out the Early Recruitment mod for ME2
www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/384
@@kevinkotysz6998 that is great! I will definitely check it out in my next run!
The only real problem i see with this is the dialogue in ME3 when Garrus and Tali talk about most difficult mission, Garrus mentions Horizon and Tali says she didn't joined yet. It would just require to disable that part of the conversation when she says she didn't joined yet. Other than that every single bit of dialogue is already in the game so they could do it now that they're not limited by 360's memory. It would certainly give a fresh experience.
I brought Garrus during the Tali recruitment mission. They said nothing. I was disapointed. lol
3:52 - Miranda also says “The scare was a nice touch.”
“Anyone else hungry?”
Lol fucking Grunt dude
"diseases never let you die with dignity" as someone with a disease in remission i know that line far too well
"Boss babe personality" thats just beautiful
Tali low key trying to take Shepard Role
She's trying to be the player 2 to Garrus's player 1 role, both trying to usurp Shepard.
This makes me believe tali was meant to be a starting companion but got pushed to second half of game.
Shepard: What are they up to? 🤔*looks at thane*
Thane: 🤐
This is when ME2 mission structure was planned like the first game.
I love how BioWare thought in every possible scenario with the character's interactions. Those were the good old Game development times.
"boss babe" is my new favorite nick name for our favorite Quarian :D
The dialogue is so seamless in the OG series, so many dialogue permutations and almost all of them work
Playing ME:LE and watching these vids, it's really noticable how much more Russian Tali sounds throughout the trilogy.
She doesn't sound like Russian. Her accent is more Indian or something like that.
@@grunt7917 Interestingly, a fanfiction I read recently described Tali's accent (and by extension, all Quarians) as Romani, i.e. "gypsy". A few minutes of forum searching said the VA was going for an Eastern European accent, which I would say definitely qualifies.
@@grandadmiralthrawn92 Eastern Europe is a broad term. As much as I’d like to say that she sound Russian too, she sounds more Indian or Romanian, considering the cultural context of quarians.
I always assumed the connection was to Gypsies.
Similar to the Quarians in that they're migratory and usually despised by the other ethnicities.
In ME4 she'll probably have an Adidas enviro-suit
I really think Legion was done dirty, you get so little time with him. They should’ve let you recruit everyone from the start in LE, I’d run Tali and Legion just for the banter
You can have a pretty decent amount of time with Legion if you don’t mind getting the Normandy’s crew dissolved.
@@AsuraBoss the only squad mate you really need is tali for the barrier upgrade. In my recent run, I ignored thane and samara and still managed to have everyone alive. You could also ignore zaeed, so that you do his LM with legion. Thats still little, but everyone from the second wave recruitment is basically done dirty.
Just save DLC and stuff for post game and you can do a lot with Legion.
@@BrianMcKee or just use Trigger Buttons mod,.so you can have literally many plot missions at your will
I agree. You never get to use Legion. Get him right at the end of the game and if you do anything with him, you get a bad ending
I hoped that bringing Tali to Horizon would have a unique dialogue if she was romanced, especially if Ashely was romanced in the first game. Some jealousy from Ashley would have been perfect.
This makes me think Freedom's Progress was initially the point when we could recruit her.
No it was just originally everyone could be recruited in any order
@@willbaker6532 Yeah, but it would be really hard to justify why you can bring Tali onto your team in less than a day of research on Haelstrom.

glad they left that stuff in when they updated and combined the games into the LE. not surprised since going in and re-writing the code to remove those scenes, choices, dialogue options, would have been more work for them just simple texture, level map and fx updates

10:44 it's such a shame this is unavailable normally, it's such a good line
Thane didn't have any unique dialogue on Horizon? Funny - remember the cinematic trailer for ME2 back in the day? Shepard was on what looked like Horizon with Thane and Grunt.
I have an idea for you if you wanted some idea on what video to do in the future. The Collector General/Harbinger says something unique whenever you're in a combat encounter with him and a squadmate gets downed. These lines relate to what species the squadmate is and hints at the Collectors'/Reapers' plans. Might be interesting to cover. Given how rarely we actually encounter the Collectors and thus how many times a squadmate might conceivably get downed, these lines would also be pretty rare.
Couple that with the fact that Harbinger is barely a threat when he's possessed a collector, so I'm sure a lot of players just ignore him.
It wouldn’t be surprising if the cut content is full of bugs and issues. Maybe Thane DOES have lines recorded here, but they are not working for some reason. And why bother fixing it if it is already cut?
Thank you for this.
Very cool stuff! Thanks for posting. I always enjoy more Tali. Btw, just mho, “Auntie Ran” has the sexiest voice in the entire gamer, with Tali a close 2nd.
Watch the expanse if you like raan. You will be surprised hearing her voice in a badass way.
I played through ME1 with 6 different characters and 2 more new game+ with each of them to have a lvl60 to import into me2(occasionally doing some things different). In ME2 that branched out to 13 playthroughs, and 18 in ME3.
For ME2 and 3 I got in the habit of always taking the same 2 characters (which I would recruit as early as possible), with 1 being assigned to the first slot, and the other to the second. I tried to basically take everyone through the entire game first in the first slot, and in another playthrough in the second. As such there's very little rare dialogue I haven't heard, but I never used a save editor to recruit people early, so these are new.
I like how they kept this stuff in for the pc release of the legendary edition. Save editing legion into my crew asap was always the best part of playing on pc for me
This is telling me something very important. That save editor on the Nexus is in fact legit and usable. I'll definitely be downloading that for my subsequent playthroughs, after I finish my first remastered one.
I love yourass effect content my guy
I really wish that the Legendary Edition of Mass Effect fixed this. I mean, I don't think it would've been too difficult to change the game so that you can recruit your Squad in any order like you were originally intended. Besides just unlocking the missions, the only other thing I see really needing to change is a piece of dialogue from TiM when you suggest that Tali would be willing to return to your crew after the Freedom's Progress mission and his response was a vague "I need more information before I can commit to recruiting her". Which is a load of BS because Shepard would literally respond with something like "I vouch for her, and she helped me stop Sovereign. That should tell you she's worth recruiting".
Yeah, I see what you mean. But Bioware seemed committed to just modernizing the original experience instead of changing anything, which in itself is also a good thing.
My guess is that there might have been a speech check on Freedom's Progress to recruit her early or in an earlier build you could do her mission in the first half.
It makes no sense to place speech check in prologue mission you know? Although you could base it on having done her “loyalty” mission in ME1, that would be logical solution
It would make a lot of sense for Bioware to make New Game + in this edition. So if you beat the game, you basically have all of your squamates and stats, instead of relying on the mod.
That would be fun. Just have all the team member collection missions right after you get the Normandy or have a new scene saying that TIMmy had a squad pick all of your crew up as soon as you get the Normandy.
Tali seems to have a mix of lines shared with Zaeed and Miranda on Grunt's mission
This man just doesn't miss!
Damn I love Tali
I actually did a video many years ago where squad members have comments on Grunt's appetite during the mission to get Mordin. I used Gibbed's ME2 Save Editor way back when. Good memories.
In that cutscene Jack pummels 3 YMIR mechs in 20 seconds without cover, just after waking up from cryo sleep.
Yet she can't even defeat a single one by her own as a squadmate. I call BS!
The scene is dope though.
Well, she got attacked right after waking up from a long sleep... She didn't have a coffee yet.
Is it possible to edit the game so that you can have a character in both Ally slots? I ask because both sides usually disagree with one another for morality sake. it would be interesting to see the same character arguing with him/her self.
I love how your character is looking at thane like he's expecting him to say something but he never does
Prison 780 and prison 403. I see what you did there bioware ;). What a beautiful shout out to Edmonton and Calgary.
Shepard: You? I said badass, not some scout whining like a quarian with a tummy-ache.
Tali: (offended) I'm standing right here!
Briging Legion and Tali along from the earliest point possible must be hilariois 🤣🤣🤣
Considering how much diologue Tali has in all these sections you wouldn't have recruited her for makes me think Tali may have been planned to be recruitable much earlier than she was in the full game. Maybe plans changed during development, god that feels so long ago now
That's why Tali and Garrus are my favorite squadmates
The fact they included dialog for scenes you can't get to with normal game play just shows how much they thought ahead for these games.
Doesn’t really have anything to do with that. Originally you were able to recruit anyone in any order, but they cut that out of the game and made it a little more linear. They left it in the game files and it’s cut content.
I'm still saddened that the ability to recruit squadmates in any order was never realized.
How many combinations of dialog would that need to be ?
@@floatinggoose9197 The game actually assigns priority to certain characters in some situations (I think it's like +1, +2, or something like that). Technically, if someone assigned the proper priority to the minimum amount of characters for certain scenes, it might just be able to be pulled off.
I wish I could recruit Tali early, but I like the recruitment missions being split up. It gives the game some structure

I was pleasantly surprised when I got some missed dialog nearly ten years later.

There's unique Tali dialogue for bringing her with you to any Quarian related side missions in ME2. I didn't find any regarding Kenn on Omega. Either there isn't any special dialogue or I don't know how to trigger it.
Most of Tali's lines are similar to what Garrus says if you bring him to recruit Jack, and Mordin. It's more C&P (cut and paste) and then some variations.
How often do you have Played mass effect 1 to 3 already for US? Thank you for that 🐱
It makes me sad as Tali fan that you can’t take Tali of freedom progress right away. I wish they make a remake sometime, taking all that stuff into account.
Oof you’re going to be disappointed
Got some news for you buddy...
Here's my theory, got nothing to back it up tho. Bioware designed the game previously for Tali to have a possibility of accepting Shep's offer of coming with him/her back in Freedom's Progress. They then changed it, maybe we'd think recruiting only Samara and Thane in the second chapter as weak, so they added Tali as well. But the dialogue lines remained. That will explain why Thane has no lines for prior missions. And my next guess is Samara also doesn't have lines for prior missions. You need to test this with Samara.
It’s great that both Tali and Garrus get mad at Kaidan/Ashley for not seeing the bigger picture on Horizon.
It's Hilarious how Tall replaced EDI's commands while fixing the cure in moridin's recruit mission
A lot of what Tali says before you can actually recruit her Garrus actually says as well most of the time and if not it's usually the same with a slight difference in wording
I was always weirded out in the plague section. Everyone should have airtight suit capability since every companion can operate in a vacuum. Oxygen deprivation never being an issue in those sections leads me to believe everyone could seal their suit and go off of their own air supply. Tali's environment just being far more efficient in this regard with several other added perks for her own suit.

@@soniajackson2740 Based on investing acumen and strategy I will recommend Mrs Linda Raschke for you
So how were you able to get all these characters for these missions?
Maybe Tali was planned to be recruited early-game instead of late-game. I guess that she was meant to be recruited during the first mission where you first see her again. I'm also guessing it was changed very late during development since the coding for her dialogue is still in the game and useable. Also, note how the little circle on her mask doesn't glow when she talks at times.
I'm going way too independent with this. :/
Whoa. Samara in Garrus's recruit mission?
Is there dialogue for bringing Tali along to Freedom's Progress via save editing or can you not do that?
Thanks.
I remember reading an article that originally mass effect 2 they we're gonna let you recruit anyone you want but they broke up the recruit missions between horizon mission because to fit the game in 2 CDs for X-Box 360i think which was common at the time for videogames. The fact Tali has so much dialogue for these missions means they should've fixed that for legendary edition at least idk that's just me. And just realized Big Dan made a pinned comment on what I just commented but still.
