Even if you only have a phone, you can also do the vertigo, but the video will be wobbling , The point is whether the zoom or move is smooth... and sorry I have no idea about the country compatibility.

Particularly, did it help with the tracking issues and did it help with any of the app issues that you found?
Hmmm, reading the reviews I see a lot of the opposite saying the DJI app keeps crashing and my smooth 4 hasn’t crashed yet. I’ve had issues with the pan staying level on the Smooth horizon, but theirs an firmware update I’m going to test now. And a lot of dead DJI app reviews on apples website. I’m only mentioning this because I’m thinking of getting the DJI also and tracking is the last thing I have not tested yet in the Smooth 4, this is how I found your video. But I do appreciate the honest opinion for your experience , thank you. Question, what firmware and app version did you run on bot during this testing? Both being new products I’m sure have had updates. The other reason I’m thinking of switching to DJI is for the filmic pro support. Smaller, but no lighter, and a normal USB port for charging.

Good comparison video between the two, your english is fine, so please do more videos in English in the future. Although I prefer the hardware features of the Smooth 4, I will be buying the DJI, purely for the software experience, I have a Zhiyun Crane+ and the ZY Play app on android is horrendous as most features don't work as advertised, they seem to introduce new bugs every update to the point some features stop working. Read the reviews on the Android app store before deciding which one to go with.

Thank you for this review... and also thank you because you are one of the first youtuber that clearly mentionned the fact that some features of the Smooth Q4 won't work correctly with Android phones. Most of the reviews regarding phones gimbals, only speak about Iphones.... but most of the gimbals (Dji, Smooth Q4 or even Smoove Mobile), won't work 100% with android phones. For example, with my Osmo Mobile 2, I cannot use the slowmotion with my Samsung S8; But in fact, that's not réeally a problem because I can do Slowmotion in post production. hello,about the bearing capacity, the official statement is about 210g. I did some tests and there is no problem with 250g, and the bearing capacity of these two products is similar, so I didn't mention in the video.
Bought a Smooth 4 and everything you have said in the the video is 100% spot on. Hope Xhiyun fixes the issues with the product soon via firmware and App upgrades.
I can see so many reviews complaining about the Pano mode not working on Smooth 4. Why can't they just use their mobile's native cam to do it? That shouldn't be a reason not to buy Smooth 4. IMO it has more functionalities than Osmo Mobile 2 that is why I got one. And yes, I have Osmo mobile and Osmo pocket. Nice review though.

But then seen the smooth 4 and ordered that and plan to return the osmo. After watching your video I realized how much bigger the smooth 4 is ( not ideal for my travel plans) and the app being glitchy. I guess I’ll keep the osmo and return the smooth 4 lol btw you can also do vertigo fx when editing

Thanks for the comparison, really helped! Was starting to lean towards getting a Smooth 4, but wasn't so sure about the app as I use a pixel 2 xl. After watching this I think I'll definately go for the Osmo 2, for the easier/smoother experience, as I probably won't need the extra functions of the Smooth 4 anyway (only a beginner in filming video)

It seems if stabilization is the same, app experience is more important than a few features like Hithcock zoom which I never even thought to use. Your video has helped me to decide to get the Osmo 2! I have the Zhiyun, It does not control and can not be controlled by Filmic Pro. So far there is no control built into Filmic pro for it. It does have a lot of bugs in the app especially after the latest 2 updates to Zy Play. On the note 8 it only has 720 at 30fps and 1080 at 30fps in the Zy play app. I really love the actual gimbal, but i hope they fix the app issues to resolve some of the bugs soon.

Impressive video, I have narrowed down my choices of gimbals, smooth Q, smooth 4 and the DJI Osmo, it's time to decide 🤐 I like how Iits possible to attach accessories to the DJI by adding an arm on it's side and using external microphone, hard to do on the Zhiyun models.

No, most of the physical buttons cannot work.
Only the trigger and the locking/pan following switch can work.These two don't need to rely on any app
