so I first saw this gimble last May 2018 in a show this guy had it but not really using it and was fascinated and wanted one. So I bought one and it arrived today and then as you said, who reads the instructions. So I looked for a youtube and found you. Very good, clear and precise instructions and your examples set the stage for usage to come. I will be using it at the Nottinghill Carnival and on the Isle of Wight in my challenge for charity

Is the zy play works fine with the android? Does the tracking mode of smooth 4 fails also with all kinds of phone? Zhiyum apps always crash untill now or have improvements?Thanks

Great review. Can I ask - the videos you used as examples, did you use the zoom function on the gimbal? For example
When you go to the side of the person running and zoom out. Or is that your own physical position holding the gimbal, or even post production?
I didn't use a zoom function. I've just used IPhone 7 plus with two cameras. So I used a zoom camera 😊

When I try to pair the Zhiyun with my phone, my phone is coming up with a mile long list of things to pair with. I cant find anywhere where it indicates WHAT the '[name' of the gimble is in Bluetooth! I accidentally connected with my neighbors speakers....hahaha (Oops). Great vid. Thank you so much for the tutorial. Even though I havent been able to connect my darn phone (yet)

I really wanted to like this gimbal, but there are 2 features that were part of my requirements to purchase. I wanted something that has good active tracking and pano. The other features are battery life, ease of use, and weight. These features it has. The weight was on the heavy side but I thought I can live with it. The smooth 4’s active tracking was very bad, and the pano was very slow.

How the mode is selected during shooting videos ? under which condition locking mode is used ?
2:20 you just lock on horizontal view, but I tried it can’t, it always goes to vertical, when I switch on the gimble, it works horizontal for few mins and then again goes vertical

Smooth 4 was my choice too.
Btw, i was pledging their new, smallest gimble but canceled that since this beast is kinda bettter, even though the smallest one is pocket size and with humongous 10k battery

Just got the Smooth 4 ... Question. The running scene. How did you have the LG G5 (I have the G6 hence the question) setup? Manual mode? Did you use the Gimbal App or other App? Give me a bit more info, and thanks for the amazing vids.
I used native camera app, because the zhiyun android app is not good.

Hi Nemanja, Thank you for the wonderful review of the ZS 4 gimbal. I just ordered the EVO Pro which is just like the ZHIYUN Smooth 4 but you can get it serviced here in the US.
I have three questions for you:
1.) You went really quickly over the optical optimization built into my iPhone X and the need to turn it off. That is turn off the built in function and the gimbal will take over the function?
2.) I was told by EVO Gimbals to use ZY Play app. It is the best for this EVO Pro gimbal even over their own app. Do you have another that is your favorite?
3.) How long of a life can I expect to get out of a typical gimbal? I understand there are a lot of variables, but using it a few times a month say.

1. You can't turn off OIS on IPhone unfortunately. Only EIS.
2. I never had a chance to try EVO gimbal.
3. Don't know. Didn't try EVO 😊
Thank you Nemanja. I don't know if you can go over the optical optimization or stabilization, but that would help. You cannot not turn it off on the phone so, you have to be using the iPhone's stabilization processes not the gimbal. Pros/cons?

Unfortunately you can't turn ois off. There are some tricks with a magnet. But I don't like it.
I love to use high end android phones with a gimbals, because they don't have such problem. And I'm using a GoPro camera with gimbal too.

Android app was not so good in the moment I tested it. So can't tell if they improve it. I'm using iphone.

You can lock everything by switching to lock mode

Don't know. I don't have external mic. So don't know if it will handle the weight.

this gimball is great and really affordable, I got mine (feiyutech) about 4 years ago, with practically no features but the 3 mode stabilization, and paid almost $400.00 for it.

I got the Smooth 4 gimbal this week. I am facing red LED light issue, gimbal is non-responsive. I tried balancing the phone every way, tried different phones, removed case, followed every solution but still the same. Please help.

Tracking is bad still... Sometimes it is working ok, sometimes not at all.

No sideways. I think Moza Mini Mi can do that. I will probably do a review on it too a little bit later.

I bought a Gimbal almost 4 weeks ago, I made My first video last week and I am quite happy with it (Feiyu Tech SPG C).
But you really confused me with your Video I mean :
- This new gimbal (Smooth 4) seem to be awesome by all his hardware shortcut (PF/Locked, Fast Motion Follow with Up button)
- Like the Feiyu tech I will never use the apps which seem to be work badly on Android phone.
- I still got 2 days If I want send back my Feiyu to echange with this one...
PRO : It's all the hardware shortcut (PF/Locked/2 knob button in the back) that you explained which make me want to change for this one
CON : The battery that you cannot change in case of failure, I saw so many complain and issue about it on internet on Smooth Q and nothing to resolved them from ZHIYUN. No battery replacement for sell on their site.
I still do not know what to day...still got 2 days to think about...
Did you test the Feiyu tech before ? What bring you directly to this Gimbal ? Are you not worried aboutthe not replacable Battery ? Zhiyun SAV seem worst than FEIYU TEch?
