Californication by opeth
Love how every video goes from whatever is the title to mid-era Opeth
I find playing in 7/8 is tricky but this really helped me get a feel for it by just listening. This will help with tomorrow's rehearsal. Thank you!
Money by pink floyd is a great tune to get a feeling for 7/8
@@whoa434 thank you, I'll definitely check it out!!
You can see a 7/8 bar as a 3/8 + 4/8
So if you can play in 3 or 4 it's not that hard. It also sounds groovier if you divide it in 3+4 (or 4+3)
Spoonman by Soundgarden has a riff in 7/4
@@sesclaytpoop8525 Thank you so much for the tips! I'll try and think about it next time I play the song with the ⅞ time signature.
I gotta say, I super appreciate not only the cut, but letting people know with subtitles that this wasn't played in a single take. Still sounds amazing, you're still hella talented, but you don't seem inhuman, and this doesn't seem laughably out of reach no matter how much I work at it. Thanks for being honest and still making some mindblowing music, I really believe you're far and away the best of this super guitar channels because of the memes and the straightforwardness
Oh my, that harmonic minor at 01:00 ... love this kind so much !
Harmonic minor is simply the best
Dude, that was like California struck by meteorites! Well done!
Sounds like NeObliviscaris. Awesome dude 🔥🤘
congrats on getting the sunday with Ola feature hahah
Polyrhythm just mindfucks me
The 7/8 to 5/8 was way more natural feeling than most prog metal. The choice of pattern for the 5 made it feel like a smooth, familiar shift in dynamics from more choppy riffy to strummy. Vnice.
caliprogination
I’d love to see your take on Mick Gordon type material!
dude, its mind blowing amazing stuff you have created there. solo itself is on a whole another level musically, its perfect
Excellent, sounding great
Opeth
Congrats on that little showcase on SWOLA.
Some Pain of Salvation vibes there
loved the 5/8 metronome, sounds cool.
Such an underrated guitarist youtuber!
Keep content coming. Your gonna grow. Your good.
AH yes, thank you Sebastiside for making some great content
Harmonic minor makes everything better
Awesome!
Awesome 👏👏
I love the fact, that this goes over my head. Every single video, even though, I've got about 15+ years on me, I don't get theory and time signatures. I mean, I get time signatures, that go with my drummer but I guess, that means I'm terrible. 😂🤦♂️
Same, I'm terrible at communicating ideas and understanding them for that reason. But once the beat is going it's kinda easy to feeL
Sounds epic
Genius!
This was hard asf
Very creative stuff here
Amazing🔥 californication doped
You're probably aware but Ola Englund featured you on his Swola73 video. Thought it was cool.
OPETH FAN
Subbed
... and if you have those kind of dreams it's djentlemanfication!
Ne Obliviscaris - Californication
You inspire me every day sir, I want to be the best just like you :)
The solo sounded so much like Andy Latimer on Camel (Lady Fantasy style)
RHCP is my favorite non-metal band, so this is dope
Deserves a subscription. Here I subscribe then. \m/ great contents
I can't believe how similar our tastes are in time sigs lmao. I love that 5/8 'da da da da' prog rock figure. Never gets old. Also love 'da_da_ _" figure where the 1 and 3 eighth notes are accented. When you got there i was said yesssssss to myself lol
Very Karnivool-esque
the only thing we seem to differ on is harmonic minor as a tonality -- over the years iv grown sick of it and the leading tone of the natural 7 sounds cheesy to me now i cant help it!
I do love me some 7/8
sounded exactly like Opeth
Californication in 7/8 would be so good
nice
I like to do that on keyboards
Sounds a lot like Ne Obliviscaris.
Can someone explain to me in simple terms how I can write in 5/8 or 7/8? Everytime I change the time signature on FL Studio to 7/8 or 5/8 I always end up with a beat that sounds like 4/4!?
already solve it now ?
6/8 + harmonic minor = Opeth :P
Чувак, это охеренно
can you recommend spotify playlists?
Fairly new to guitar so what do mean by scales
Apologies for the second comment but what happened to the instrumental only version, of your single? 🤨🤔
Do u give lessons?
5/8 went to foo fighters quick
what guitar is it?
you simply can't make a bad video can't you
Sounds like opeth
Red Hot Proggy Peppers
Do it for 45 minute
Christain muenzer and u ...
really nice stuff! but that dirty fretboard... urgs ^^
Most part of the track doesn't have anything to do with the original.
Sorry, but I when I read the title I expect something different than "Playing the original chords of a song and just random metal shit after that" :(
