37k miles on mine, and the engine seemed best after 20k miles. I ride 15k miles per year in any weather, and the stock tires never failed in rain or winter.
This was so detailed and nice to listen to, thank you. This is how a review is supposed to be done and I hope you're having a good week, thumbs up from me keep it up!
I've sold mine more than a year ago and I miss it.I haven't found a bike that suits my riding style better. So the new one is coming in a few weeks hopefully. I checked your video because these motorcycles are not considered long term bike which is a shame. There are very real advantages to own a small motorcycle and you mentioned some of them. So thanks for the video dude it was nice to hear from another happy rebel owner.
Thank you. Many people in the biking world get stuck in this idea of a “ladder”, always climbing towards something bigger and more powerful. But life is about balance.
You nailed this description completely. I am also short at 5.7ft and have a 2022 model CMX500. I am in awe of your ability to sit on this for that many km. After 35 miles the pain starts on mine and it get's excruciating.
All my looking into the rebel 500........ It's a Two wheeled civic....... It does everything well but, there are aftermarket options to make it do everything better..... For cheap
Nice review! Just like you said. You can go where you want on the bike you have. It's just a matter of comfort. Years ago, I rode my aging 1982 Honda Magna over 1000 miles from San Diego to the Grand Canyon and back in 2 days by myself. Long before cell phones, there was only paper maps for navigation. The hot pavement of the Mojave ate my tires. Threads showing, I had to buy new tires partway through. Was the Honda cruiser comfortable? No. It was painful to sit on for 10 hours at a time. But the Honda could do it, and so could I. Honda motorcycles are unstoppable. Last month, I bought my daughter a Rebel 300, and she loves it. She's very petite and the Rebel 300 fits her fine, but I would not go with anything larger for her. I'm bigger and heavier, so I'm itching for the Rebel 1100, or maybe a Shadow. Anyway, you have a nice bike there, and I'm glad you use it. Many people buy bikes that are too big for them and end up letting their bikes sit. They never gain the skills or confidence riding and it is not fun for them.
That’s an amazing story, thanks for sharing! Your daughter is very lucky. We don’t get the 300 here in Europe, but we will have the 1100. I’m not going to change bikes at the moment but I’m very curious about that one. Specially because I always drooled over the new Africa Twins but (just like you said) it’s too tall for me to ride confidently. Keep riding! Cheers
I added a Hellfire winshield to my rebel 500 2022 SE ABS and it was the BEST mod I have made. It makes the bike soo much more enjoyable to ride . You still get some wind just not that hard blast on your chest ~!
Mine is going to be 1 year old on june and it as at this moment 8600 km. Yes it's true that the comfort is not the best on this bike, but it's manageable. Safe rides Bug. 🤟
i was hoping you would do this review some day, great vid Bug i love the looks on the rebel and i was planing on getting my license and jump from my superlight to one of this babys this year, but life happens, maybe next one

I drove both. The 500 with the block seat and the 1100 stock seat with dct. I'm 183cm. Still thinking which I should choose. The 1100 with dct was very uncomfortable
If you do, it’s not my fault ;) I always recommend starting with something smaller like a 125. I still have a 125 today, because they’re so much easier ride around.
Great review man! I’m thinking of getting this bike. By the way, I think Puig is a catalan brand, I usually hear it pronounced as “puch” here in Barcelona. Um abraço.
7 Months in, with 7,300 miles (almost 12k Km)... in Puerto Rico 🤣🇵🇷 which is tiny compared to other places and its the best ever. Never replacing with 1100. And even if I also had 1100, would probably mostly use the 500. Its perfect. Literally where I mostly ride (which is Condado) just imagine Miami beach and Santa Monica mixed together 🤣 Perfect bike for the location with parking spots. Longest trip CAN be a 320 mile round trip through mountains and views. But yea, just 7 months and almost 12k KM already 🔥🔥

They're both very easy to ride. CB500X is taller, so it fits a tall rider better. It's also better for the passenger and a top box, if you want one. Rebel is the best for short riders and very easy in the city. But I recommend starting on a smaller bike, like a 125. Your choice.
