A colour analysis session is a once-off experience to discover your colours for life.
A palette is a collection of colours that emphasise your natural chromatic characteristics, making you look radiant and healthy. Colour analysis identifies your personal palette by examining your natural characteristics (undertone, intensity and value).
A colour analysis session will make you discover something new about yourself and give you the knowledge to shop less and better and to improve your wardrobe and style.

Id love a video demonstrating "blending harmoniously" in a good way versus "all blending together" in a bad way, and when does "washing out" happen, etc. Please keep my internal colour critic speaking in an Italian accent.

What a great session! I had my colours done by Giulia a few days ago, and was completely surprised to learn I am a soft autumn! I thought I was a summer, but we found my skin could handle the warmth well, bringing out a peachy glow I didn't know was there - my entire wardrobe is black, navy and white! Where in this analysis the lady needed the intensity of the bright green, I was at completely the other end of the spectrum, very muted features. Went home and immediately did my make up using warm tones and peachy blush, what a difference!! Thanks ladies for such an interesting channel!

I first thought she was cool because of the lips, but then it was clear that she is light spring. I was wondering if she would also be light spring with her natural hair colour, which seems darker. I love how this channel explains the whole process. On other channels everything seems so rushed like the person doing the draping is bored and wants to get out of there fast. Others seem unsure and keep asking the clients if they think they look good in the colour and I'm like: well, if they knew, they wouldn't be here with you analysing them 😂

Just started watching and I'm calling it. She's a spring light palette or a true spring. I love guessing to see if I'm getting better at it. She'll need a touch more make-up with the cool colors but less or no make up with the warm, as her skin eyes and lips are enhanced by warm colors and have a natural glow.

I am also from the USA. I picked her season and sub season just from the undertone phase. As soon as you put the light pink and salmon pink near her skin she looked stunning and the navy made her look like a floating head. The brown was better, but also too dark for her features. Her eyes disappeared with any of the darker colors even with Autumn. The bright colors of Spring and Winter looked ok, but were a little too much for her. The warm spring colors would be good as pops of color against the light colors in her sub season. She looked amazing in the light periwinkle, peach, and light aqua. I am also a Spring. I think I might be a true Spring or Bright Spring in your system because the lighter colors in my pallet are what I use for accessories and makeup. I love wearing peach and lavender eyeshadow.

It's funny, though, that much of my wardrobe somewhat already had a lot of some of the Cool Summer colors in it as I think we do kind of know, even subconsciously, what's working. But having the real scoop has made my wardrobe more of a powerhouse! I'm not done, but I'm off to a good start! The very first thing I did was purge my closet of everything that was out of my color palette! It was terrific how pretty my closet looked after that!

Yay, finally a fellow light spring :D Ive been waiting for this video. Its great to see a light spring being draped, as I was digitally draped by you and kinda missed that part. It's amazing to see how harmonious the light colors work on her. But also how the darker colors work (or don't work). If I have to be honest, they aren't thát horrific to me. Yes they are cutting her off a bit, but that makes them look edgy on her. Its a vibe. Maybe it's her darker eyes that make darker color feel not so out of place? The very bright and cool colors, like that fuchsia, are far worse in my humble opinion, they drown her. Anyway, anyhow, I'm so glad with how many colors we can pull off :) and great video again, love your content!

@coloredpencils01 I never see Spring shades in stores. The corals and peaches are always dusty or muted shades for soft Autumns and some Summers, Look too dirty on me, never clear or vibrant enough for True, bright or warm Springs. Light Springs can borrow some light Summer shades

    • @coloredpencils01
      @coloredpencils01 2 місяці тому

@@tomjones2157 true, dusty colors have been extremely popular for the last five to ten years. Sometimes they're even too dull for me as a soft summer, which is ridiculous! Autumn's olive green is still everywhere, although I'm starting to see some cooler versions.
Peach and coral really don't work for any summers though, no matter how dusty; they're shades of orange which is the warmest color. You're right that they're perfect for light spring and soft autumn!

Thank you for doing an American! Also, I appreciated seeing you do Shannon's colors. My 3 year old granddaughter lives in Germany with my daughter and her husband. We just had a visit with them in the USA. My daughter is definitely a cool season, most likely Winter, with dark brown hair and blue-green eyes. Her husband is very warm with pale skin, blue-gray eyes, and golden brown hair with a red beard. While watching this video it was easier to see how their daughter will fit better into "Light Spring/Light Summer", based upon what she currently wears that doesn't overpower her creamy pale skin, bright "blueberry" eyes, rosy pink lips, and golden and ashy colored hair. This is helpful to consider when I purchase clothing to send for her.

I have been researching colour analysis for a while but found the info online - blog posts etc-confusing because I found that nothing clearly explained how to discern differences between seasons/subgroups or how to "spot the difference". To have you do analysis on a personal and carefully explain everything has been so illuminating Nd helpful to actually SEE the differences . It'd be great to do some videos on how to put colours into practice for each season and subseason , and maybe offer styling ideas on how to put the colours together. Thanks so much!!

I never would have guessed that the light periwinkle would belong to spring pallet if I just saw the colour. I would totally choose that as a soft summer as well even though it’s lighter. 😂 but maybe if I wore it would look a bit intense. On the screen to my eye it seems quite soft. This is why comparing two colours is sooo important.

Well there’s two reasons, one it’s actually a cool color so it can belong in the summer palette, and two it’s so light that it starts to look soft because of so much white added to it. The only reason it’s placed in the spring palette is because every palette needs a wide range of hues or colors to work with (which is why you see blues and purples in the spring and autumn palettes, in smaller amounts) BUT they’re on the warmer side, they have some yellow added to them to make them warmer. That still doesn’t mean they’re warm cause purple and blue can never be warm colors, but they can lean more towards the warm side of the color wheel therefore making them more suitable for warm seasons. But this is why they aren’t the majority of warm palettes, cause they’re cool. This is just saying “if you were to wear blue or purple, wear these specific ones that suit your palette better.” That’s why these blues in the warm palettes usually lean turquoise (closer to green, closer to yellow) and the purples lean pink (closer to red, closer to orange). Same thing happens with the cool palettes where you see them have a few yellows thrown in there, but they always lean green and desaturated cause a bright golden yellow is way too warm to be in any cool palette. Again not saying a soft greenish yellow is a cool color cause it’s not, it’s just starting to go towards cool colors (to green then to blue), if that makes sense. Point is, palettes should give you a good amount of colors to work with, and so they can include a few colors that aren’t ideal but good enough. There will always be colors that are more “perfect” for you in that palette, and colors that are less so, but are just there as alternative options to your worst colors. Oh also, a summer purple may have more gray in it than white, as this light periwinkle has lots of white added to it (which makes it more clear than adding gray to it). So that’s the other reason it’s included in the light spring palette. This color most ideally fits the light summer palette, but can leak into the spring palette as a cooler option for that person. In Shannon’s case, she doesn’t lean overly warm (her main feature is lightness) so a light purple looks fine on her, though a light peachy pink would be perfect. That was really long winded but I hope that explains what you’re feeling, which is definitely valid. Color theory and the color seasons are not a simple black and white topic unfortunately haha. That’s why you get lots of different interpretations with these things that a lot of times are wrong or partially correct. But this channel does a good job at explaining how this all works, they just don’t go into overt detail (like with why there are cool colors in the warm palettes and vice versa) cause their job is color analysis, not teaching seminars on color theory lol.

Aahhh so interesting and nice to see! I would've guessed she's a light spring :) we share some features but she's clearly warmer than me, and I self-diagnosed as a light summer :)
I know that not aaaall features need are always in line with everybody's season, but I was wondering whether they can hint at the sister seasons. Cause on the one hand, my skin clearly looks better in cool colours compared to warm. And in the other hand, my hair was gold blonde as a teenager, and as it got darker the roots look more ashy (cool) while the lengths (which were always way lighter) now are more of a gold/honey/strawberry blonde. I feel like those mixed undertone-features are more common for people with a sister season of the other undertone, or do you think it's more a coincidence?

Hi. Based on other analysts that I've seen, as you go grey you may become a bit cooler or less intense. (example warm spring to light spring or warm autumn to soft autumn).

At the beginning of the undertone face I thought she was cool, but when you started explaining about the flowing colors and the cutting line, I started to see the magic🧡💛💚 Also, when you put the silver and gold drapes, I noticed one more thing - her eyebrows are golden, so for me this is another reason why gold works better than silver. 💛 At the intensity face, when you put on her the two drapes - the olive and the bright green, It was not that evident for me, but when I saw only the bright green drape on her, I told myself - this is it! 💚 And this color really suits Shannon! Till now I was thinking only a person with really dark eyes, hair and pale skin can handle this color - a person with really high contrasting features. But when I saw it on Shanon - wow! Also at the beginning I was preferimg Spring Bright over Spring Light on her, but when I saw the test with the borderline seasons - it was undeniable. So the point here is - everything at the end of the analysis make sense! Love your channel! 💜 Greetings from Bulgaria :)

The difference was dramatic between spring green and autumn green. I don't think I've seen a colour add life so quickly and another detract it so quickly. Would she still be spring light if she had her natural hair colour, though?

It is interesting to see how you work through the color analysis. From watching , I see each client goes differently as far as broad group down to more fine details of subgroup.
This one starting with the light shades/cool pink and warm peach color , which in comparison with other analysis , this was less glaringly obvious. ANY DARK subgroup was absolutely eliminated . Hence the title Spring ? Summer?? then the fine tuning and comparing those :)

(i think) i am spring (not sure what subgroup) after a long time of thinking i was autumn, and I've been wanting to do something to my hair, probably like a balayage, but idk which blonde i should go for 😢

As always, very logical and clear. Where can ladies find clothes in light spring/summer colors for muddy autumns and colder winter temperatures? There are a ton of light-colored, bright clothing options available in the summer, but as the weather turns colder, all I find in the stores are dark-colored, dusty, or soft options that make fair spring complexion appear lifeless.
