you specified that the shallow mount speaker is for a seal box enclosure. I have a foxacoustics ported box. Will the sundown shallow mount preform as good in this type of box enclosure
These look perfect for my scion iQ. Space for anything but the driver and front passenger is hard to find. Can these be reverse mounted to show the shiny side?
What would you say is the main difference in sound and performance of the SD4 vs SLD?
Seems like the sd4 is for smaller sealed boxes and the sld is for a little bigger ported?
A thought came to my mind whilst watching this; Is Sundown the best Subwoofer brand in the market today (rhetorical)? I don;t mean the loudest, or the best SQ, but just overall, very innovative, great price, and generally a great prodcut.
I love all your videos bro but I have 1 question do those hit harder than the swr-t12 alpines I'm torn between purchases both are rated the same just would like to know whose bass is deeper and if possibly you can do a video on it because I'm curious and a FAN of both brands!!
What size wiring are you using for the sub? I have 10 gauge and 12 gauge wire... Not sure what to use from amp to sub and not sure what to use for the actual sub to hook it up to 2 ohms because I ordered the SD-4 10" dual 4 ohms...

So the 2.5" coil just won't fit on the 8" ? It'd be sweet if the neo fit inside the coil of those. I have 4 sd3 8"s but hard to see why to swap out to the 4s.

seams the 12 needs that motor off that 8 however that type design may be what causeing the noise in the d3
I am not seeing these versions on your website. I am looking to run one of these on a zx500 old school phoenix gold amp. I will be putting it in the rear quarter panel of my 95 land cruiser. You think I should get the 2 or 4 ohm version? It will be complemented by 2 sets of dynaudios. 1 3 way set 8, 5, 2 and one 2 way set 6, 2. running off zx 350 and zx 450. Sundown is by far the best bang for buck. SA 12’s are the shit man - I only send em 1500 rms and I can tell they are begging for more, but it’s plenty loud for me, actually more than enough. I feel like they will last forever on 1000-1500 watts

Would the 10” SD4 work good in a 0.33 cubic foot sealed enclosure? I built a sealed box that goes under my DRIVER seat in my Kia Niro and I want to get a better sub in there than what I have right now.
you want .55 cubic ft minimal - minus the woofer its around .50 air volumn. A 8" SD4 would be better for the .33
Idk what to think besides its super shallow sub it sounds like it bottoms out so easily ofcourse in free air all subs are gonna do that . I wish u woulda installed the sub ina correct size box im guessing. .5 to .65 cubes of air space per sub in a sealed enclosure recommended? The neo also probably doubled the subs price tag but i guess u get what u pay for. Me personally i owned 1 12 inch dual 4 rockford p3 shallow mount i believe it was 400 rms 800 peak. It took the power but just lacked those lows in the 25 to 35 htz was horrible my 6 by 9s sounded like they was picking up where the p3 lacked i guess if u have to absolutely go shallow mount its good theres respectable options out the the rockford P3 i bought was 209.99 just for the sub only i think if u guys got the box and ur sub to match perfect u should make it a more prefab set up sub with box. Then theres the option to combine a internal amp taylor made to the subs specs that would take alot of the guess-work out and be a more plug and play deal. But thats my thoughts.
The new neo shallow mount sub 1. Built to exact specs box. 2. And a high efficiency class D. Amp made to the subs specs for rms peak box type 3. The amp. So those 3 thing pre packaged ur talking what 400 to 500 bux for a single 12 shallow set up? If shallow was my only option and bass was that important u would have to find something.

What did you go with?
I’ve used the sd-3s in a couple of ported boxes for an insane output from a shallow box, a lot of slammed single cabs in my town. Absolutely lowest bass from any shallow sub, but a subsonic filter is a must because of the soft spider. You guys should offer it with a stiffer spider option, sadly I’m sure it won’t happen.

Would these subs play lows better than the jl tw3 12? I have 2 now on a mmats 1400.1 in a single cab. They are loud but don't play low notes very well.

@@kohenblrrr4901 it’s decent. Depends on what you are going for. It definitely makes the music sound better. I do find myself wanting more, especially if you try to play rap music with heavy 808’s. Sounds good when I listen to rock and house. It’s when I try to play hip hop that I feel it isn’t enough.
